I saw a full moon effect the other night but the moon was going down (setting) . It was huge but a darker shade of red also. Does anyone know what this effect is called so I can google when it will happen again. Thanks so much in advance.
I don't know what it is called, but it is said that the lower the star is, the thicker the atmosphere is, diffusing the short-wavelength blue color and making the red color appear deeper.
thanks for your questions. The exposure of a photo changes from time to time. The shooting interval is mainly 2 to 6 seconds. The frame rate of video is mainly 29.97fps. I'm glad if you can use it as a reference.

The image of the industrial area was taken at the Umihotaru parking area. It is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. The location is posted on the Channel Community page.(^^)

Yeah You are right, the red wavelengths of light go near the horizon, same reason why the sky looks lighter at the bottom during mid-day!
It’s atmospheric light scattering, the light from the moon has to go through more atmosphere at the horizon and this scatters all the blue light
