I’ve seen many that see past tax and look at the implications of it, it’s important to understand the effects taxes may have - for instance who taxes are targeted against, a big impact for smaller returns compared to where considerable wealth resides in this country.
Sunak is an embarrassment. Claiming that the working population will bear the brunt of tax rises, when the tax increase is on inheritance, cgt, property and inheritance is just blatant misinformation.
He is referring to combination of things like NI and minimum wages that usually impacts or get passed onto workers. The things you mentioned are not the only things in the budget
National Insurance tax rises combined with increases in the minimum wage will destroy tens of thousands of small businesses. It's over for the Labour Party. They are so smug and self satisfied in their London bubble but they've just sowed the seeds of their own destruction.
So suppose you would allow the Chinese to give money to these poorer African nations gaining influence and access to the important mineral wealth ? It’s called soft power and influence as well as helping those less fortunate

Just hold a referendum to rejoin the EU which would give the economyan instantboost to cover the deficit. Waste of time turning up to hear both parties ramble!
Sadly the Labour Chancellor doesn't understand that the poorest in society are being robbed by the employer NI tax increases. Workers in the agency labour supply industry are paid an assignment rate that incorporates employer's NI!!! It is processed by third party payroll companies. Both Agency and Payroll companies have been colluding for many years now over paying the worker an assignment rate where the worker foots the employer's and the employee's national insurance tax. This is blindness by the Labour Party. The result is a tax on the poorest.
So, in some cases it's true that agency and contract workers are paid an assignment rate, which sometimes includes various costs, including NI, into a single rate. It's a common approach in temporary staffing and the rate is paid by the client company. But it's not unique to Labour; it's an issue in the agency sector that has been around for a long time, regardless of which party is in power. Agency workers might experience more financial difficulty, it's just not a 'tax on the poorest'. The NI tax increase applies to ALL employers. It's a problem with the pay structure for agency workers. At worst, Labour hasn't tailored their budget to account for how agency work is structured rather than just deliberately ignoring it (and I'll remind; this is not a new problem). Concern over NI impact is valid, but you are oversimplifying the issue to be squarely a fault of the Labour party and NI policy alone. Better protections in the agency sector would be a better thing to want rather than just pointing at Labour and leaving it there.
Labour equals more tax More tax means you work and get less in your pocket. We will end up working 9 months of the year for the state. Welcome to Labour
A raise on capital gains tax and insurance for employers so they can squeeze their workers? Oh and any inheritance you decide to leave your children. But, wait. You can drown your sorrows a bit cheaper. Yay? I don't live there, but follow the money. Maybe more taxes aren't the answer when you consider how they're spent.
They say they're going to fix Britain but , in my eyes, the UK is like a car without an engine, a gearbox, brakes, tyres, windows, doors, number plates & seats.

Rishi is just boring at this point. Lies, lies and more lies. Labour have done everything they said they were going to do, and kept their promises to working people. We are not getting affected, you are Rishi, you and your friends across the country. This is the people's country not yours. Now hurry up and retire like you said you're going to do, you don't care about us and never did, that decision in itself shows that.
All I heard was lies, BS and we’re all going to be worse off! Well done labour your time will be limited.! Shame we can’t speed time up. Increase minimum wages which isn’t going to Improve living standards, it increases services and goods charges/costs to the business which then will be passed on to those who had a pay rise who will have to pay more to live.!
You're either a bot or deliberately ignorant. Wage increases stimulate consumer spending and benefits productivity (the latter of which is one of the biggest issues the country is facing), you're disregarding the experience of low-wage workers from wage hikes and a general increase in purchasing power. This is just dismissive because you've oversimplified something to suit a position you already held.
