Check the oil solenoid valves. Take them out and clean them. I had the same issue and after I cleaned the solenoid valves car was back to best. No engine light

s there a special way to position the cam sprockets when removed?Also are we suppose to line of the cam gears/Sprockets on the chain a certain way.Service instructions are vague.

Hi guys, i have a issue with Bank 1.
I have rough idle, car starts "slower" than normal & a PSM, AWD & Start-Stop Failure dash lights too.
The Fault Code is P0344 (Cam sensor intermittent)
Got a new cam sensor, new battery, fresh oil change, new coils & spark plugs (wanted to refresh this stuff anyways) but still this code comes up after i delete it.
Whats a bit annoying - if i start the car (Panamera 4s 970) the cam sensor shows only a short time reading the camshaft position and then goes to 0 degrees. But when i took it for a drive and let the Scan tool on the readings start to come sometimes at round about 2000 rpm
I also checked the tone ring on the Camshaft thru the Sensor hole. It looked fine and not damaged.
Also the bolts on the adjuster looked good since many people had problems with that.
Im literally stuck right now. Can a bad or dirty Solenoid could bring up faults like this?!
I inspected the old oil and filter after the oil change and they looked very old and absoluter not that good.
Hopefully someone have any kind of advice for me. I hope to get it sorted & would report here my next steps.

I've got a similar problem with my panamera. I've got p0016, p1372, p1361, p0300 and psm fault. Also evap leak I think. Maybe multiple problems. But theres misfires when idle with cylinders 1 2 3 4. Rumbling with the right side when Idle. No rumbling when it's driving. I cleaned out the VVT solenoid, tested that and wasn't that. I think its the chain. Please tell me if you figure out what was wrong with yours. Thanks.

I had the same thing and went through three diags with three garages and nobody found the issue. I was going thinking it was cam adjuster failure but didn’t want to go down rabbit hole so traded it in. Miss my Panamera but can’t justify the 9000 timing chain job

if the timing chain is stretched, than you couldnt put the tools for timing on camshafts like you did. Bank 2 probably would fit the tool bau on bank 1 it wouldnt couse of chain is longer on than head. Im gonna check mine, and see what it is.

Why are diagnostic scans SO MUCH? $60 bucks reasonable why $100+? Plug and Play and boom your tool does the work for you, your only purpose is too convey to your customer what the tool reads and DONE. Please educate me
