  • Wakesurfing is the fastest growing discipline in towable watersports and there’s good reason why; it's a ton of fun, really easy going and relatively quick to pick up (especially if you can already wakeboard). With the addition of three incredible Nautique GS20 wave making machines at three of our resorts, we thought it would make sense to run through the basics to help you with your wakesurfing whether on holiday with us or riding at your local park. There are some really key tips that will make your wakesurfing progression far quicker and easier and that’s what we’ve included for you in this series of Neilson Wakesurf tutorials.
    This first video will help you get up and cruising on a wakesurfer for the first time, building the skills and confidence needed to let go of that rope and ride the endless wave!
    Remember: Only ever wakesurf behind a true ‘inboard engine’ boat, not an outboard or inboard/outboard. Always wear a CE/USCG approved buoyancy aid & only use a wakesurf specific line with a small handle

    Really good video. I appreciate you putting it together. I’ve got 3 sons and a niece and nephew who have been on our lake since they were 3, all 18 years or older now. Looking for a new challenge. My 22 foot Maxum makes one of the biggest/prettiest wakes at low speed I’ve ever seen.
    The group will be watching this video repeatedly next week. Thanks again.

    It’s actually quite difficult to maintain stability in a deep squat position with the water as an unstable surface underneath for a beginner

    Idk if you still respond, given this video is 3 years old, but I’m wondering, I’ve never wakeboarded or wake surfed, could you tell me if I should wakeboard first, get used to it, then wake surf, or get right into wake surfing. Thanks!

      Hey man, not the guy, but I’d definitely start with wake-surfing if you’re new to water sports, it’s super simple, lots of fun, and you’re going slow, so falls don’t hurt

    What’s about an inboard outboard ?

    First step-don’t learn how to drive a boat.
    Second step-go to the busiest part of the lake and don’t wakesurf. Just make big waves.

      What size and type of boat is it? And does it have an inboard or outboard propeller?

    • @henrywarren3470
      @henrywarren3470 4 года назад +1

      i don’t know the size but it’s an outboard propellor

    • @emmieprzybylski5182
      @emmieprzybylski5182 4 года назад

      Henry Warren if it’s outboard, it won’t work because when you are surfing you are very close to the back of the boat and if you were to fall, you may hit the propeller so it is dangerous

    You don’t need to be comfortable on a wake board. Never wake boarded in my life
