They’re a lot of money but such good quality… we’ve now added a roof top tent and will be living out of our Landcruiser and Norweld for the next 6 months. 👍😊
Nice Canopy guys , we got a piece of stainless folded to sit on the top edges of our draw for a food prep/ work area that just stayed on there ( Unhinged just sat there good as ) best thing ever. If you hinge it you loose the ease to get in the back of the draw. 👍👍
That sounds awesome. We were thinking of getting something made up but Norweld have now made one that you can purchase. It will definitely be a game changer as we want it as a cooking bench 😀
just a quick question, insurance? is the canopy, water tanks etc etc insured as one unit with the 79 or added on as an extra onto the insurance as attachments? great informative vids
I have a Norweld compact canopy on my Ranger. Unfortunately the locks have been a real pain requiring replacement on several occasions - including a few days after I picked it up. On a Simpson Desert crossing last year I had further issues with compression locks having to be tightened twice a day as I just couldn’t get them tight enough to stay done up on the corrugations which led to major dusting of the canopy. Aside from that, they are built tough though 😀 And no issues on mine aside from the locks.
Sorry to hear that. We have had trouble with one of the locks, we adjusted it and it seems to be working fine. We will be checking them more often after hearing about your experience 😀
@@turtletrackstravels thanks guys, much appreciated. While I've got you. :) I've been told to get the axle correction if I'm towing as the ball weight loads up the rear axle and accentuates the darting/crabbing when you hit truck ruts and this can cause a bit of sway which then transfers to the van. Have you felt this at all?
I understand the gripes with the trundle draw, however as someone who uses this daily, a locking slide and lid on these is nothing more than pure utter frustration.
That makes sense, you wouldn’t want to muck around too much. We’ve since bought the lid from Norweld that doesn’t lock, it’s great to put our cooker on out the back and you can just lift it up if you need something underneath 👍🤩
Love your review, but in Australia don't mention your extra stuff as " bits and Bobs" ! It drives Aussies crazy and I know you are Pom's but get into the swing of Aussie Lingo. Its called " Extra Stuff " ! Outside of that , an awesome walk through of a NORWELD Canopy guys.

Thank you for sharing, these aren’t cheap and it’s nice to have a good review like this.
Our pleasure. No there not cheap but we’re hoping it will stand the test of time. 😊
@turtle tracks travels thanks for that review. Iv been debating this build for months. $$$$ think I just need to bite the bullet.

Thanks for you views on Norwell canopy. I agree expensive, however it is good gear.
Glad you enjoyed our video… thanks for watching 🤩👍
Nice rigs 😊
Thanks for that some good ideas there
Thank you 😊
Always strive to get the best you can afford. Don't always assume it will be the best though. Hard to go wrong with a Norweld though. Well done guys.
You definitely get what you pay for sometimes, well pleased with our Norweld..,, thanks guys 😊

Insured as one unit with our Ute insurance, we’re with RACQ 👍
You guys doin it right. I think I have toyota envy, lol. Keep at it, doing a great job :)
Thank you so much 😊
Great review guys. Agree re the trundle draw issue. what beach were you at?
Thank you, appreciate that. The beach was in Port Lincoln, Sleaford 😀
The trundle draw is perfect for daily use. Lids and locking slides become a frustration.

Great to see the banter. 👍Did Norweld tell you an all up weight at delivery?
If I remember right, the canopy added about 500kgs… before we headed off we loaded up and got weighed at the local weigh bridge, approx 3.6 👍😊

@markh6676 nope we haven’t noticed any sway. I think if you’re driving too fast that may happen 👍
We have similar Canopy with 130lt Bushman Fridge.
Wow! That’s a large fridge, ours is 80L. 😀

A 12V oven would be a great addition to your set-up.
Thanks for the suggestion, we might look into it 👍😊
Next step, roof top tent ? Edit : Lucky your wearing the fast cap chap..
We really want to get one soon, been looking at the Drifta RTT, they look pretty good. Yeah you can’t beat Valentino 👍😀
@@turtletrackstravels I've been checking out the bundatop electric roof top tent. I'll have a look at the one you mentioned.
We’ve heard the Bundatop is good but comes with a hefty price tag but we will keep our options open 😊
Expensive hobby that😂😂😂
Yes lol 😂
