Dimash The Story of One Sky REACTION ‼️

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range.
Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

"New Wave" is an international performance competition held annually on the Black Sea coast in Sochi (Russia). Dimash is a frequent guest at this competition. The organizer of the competition is the famous Russian composer, producer Igor Krutoy, who wrote the song Stranger for Dimash, as well as the vocalization of "AVE MARIA", which premiered on the same evening on the stage of New Wave Hall. Together with the maestro, such compositions were created as - "Olimpico", "Love like a Dream" (new arrangement), "Your Love", "Passione", "I miss you", as well as performed by the star trio Dimash & Lara Fabian & Aida Garifulina - "Ti Amo Cosi". This is such a great performance, as they all are. Igor Krutoy on piano, wrote this song, & he came out of retirement to compose for Dimash's voice. Olzhas Kurmanbek on the Kobyz is a good friend of Dimash as well.

This is the premeire of Stranger at The New Wave Show in Sochi, Russia. This venue is to showcase young performers but Dimash is a guest and judge here.
I suspect he is using his fame to fill the stadium for the young performers.

Also, yes he does deserve a standing ovation but standing ovations are considered rude in Russia. A good Russian audience is quiet and respectful, never taking focus from the artist or breaking their concentration then showers him with flowers when he/she is done.🌹
Frankly because I am short, I wish we did this in Canada too. I always miss out with the crazy antics of taller people jumping up and down and ruining my view of the artist.☹️
This is a ancient sacred Kazak instrument known as a Kobys. This is the oldest stringed instrument on the planet.
The best song to truly appreciate it's musical powers is also one of my favorite, Samaltau. (Use cc's because it is in Kazak)

Hello, I'm going to explain all the scenery. It's not mine, it belongs to a Russian youtuber whose channel is called: Prefessor Georgievsky. Dimash leaves nothing to chance, he gets involved in everything and everything from the beginning has its meaning.

That instrument is called a Kobyz. It is a common instrument used in his homeland of Kazakhstan. When Maestro Krutoy was composing this song it was dimash's idea to incorporate that instrument into this performance which made it the Masterpiece that it is
