Here's also an interesting fun fact about this update many people may not have realized, you can now help repair your teammates no matter the type of vehicle you have, you no longer need a light tank, it's 2x times faster for teammates and for squadmates/light tanks 3x.
tbh the tank wasn't made to fight Armour and was designed for urban warfare against possible land invasion from Lebonon or Palestine which they 99% of the time use HEAT round like RPG-7.
Fun fact, the merkava is actually what the Israeli developed by making a Centurion chassis driven in reverse. More component of the Merkava from chassis, suspension and electric came from the Sho't Kal than the magach or any other tank. Heck, one prototype example preserved in Yad-La Siryon showcased the Centurion root of the Merkava lol
Quite a bit of the early design came from Chieftain as well - the UK and Israel were collaborating originally until the UK gov cut Israel off due to...international reasons
I mean, the concept was, the actual Merkava Mk1 used a M60's engine though. The wheels, tracks, turret drive, and gun were also made off of US designs primarily. But yeah, it's an interesting hodgepodge of components and concepts. Granted, had the UK not cut off the Israelis from stuff it probably would have utilized more UK based parts, but when they were, US made components became necessary.
The centurion thing is actually incorrect, it is true that the first prototype was a HEAVILY modified centurion moving the engine to the front and turret to the rear. However they canned the idea after said prototype and made the Merkava almost from scratch

A-10s, as anticipated, dies quite often before they can do something; in 3 matches US vs US, i killed a total of 4 A-10s with the XM975 stock, with some helis and other planes (also my team loses some A-10s by Tunguska or even Shilka and Begleitpanzer). Probably this will decrease past some days, since most people are trying to do gun runs instead using bombs or missiles for what i saw this evening.
it really depends on your taste, but normally its good FOV,good zoom and good thermals depending on the tier you're playing my favorite is a good mix of the 3(shit im gonna get wooshed arent i)

Yeah gaijin did there thing and made maps worse and smaller by blocking a few areas we used, since they don’t like us using entire map areas. As for the Israeli tech tree, I’d use them while you can, I can guarantee that the repair costs will increase A LOT in the coming months. PUMA at 8.3 will be going up in BR as well so might want to grind that too.

For people complaining about the armor "nerf" it's a game not real life, in reality there likely isn't much difference than other western MBTs, and as far as the top armor goes then Mark 4 with it's 82 tons of post thanksgiving weight tends to pack more than most western counterparts, but you can't have a tank with top armor, APS, best in class sensors and FCS and have a balanced gameplay.

@@gef5133 war thunders armor is not based on actual values when it comes to composites. If you noticed, in game APFSDS penetrates far less than it should, due to them using an old weird calculation. So composite based armor looks less effective than it is due to them also using an old formula for it

A10 is fun as hell, IF you can get close enough or wait for the near end of the game as a mopup aircraft. You might get more milage out of the 96a P IMO.
So for the A10 is anyone else getting demolished in air RB? I played 20 games straight and only made to an objective 2 time. I know it's not great in air RB but we should at least get an air spawn.

No, event vehicles don't move. Only premium ones stop being available for the original faction and move to the new one for new purchasers.
Mk3 will be add to the Israeli Tree, as they said before, Event Vehicles are staying on the US Tree.
Just Premium vehicles are moved to Israel.

The turret had 1600mm pen peotection so i can understand it, but i dont think that it needed that much of a nerf
