The resume function is for when you either cancle(cancle/hit the brake) the cruise control but system still on and you want to resume it.
Many times my MDX does not recognize that there is a car in front, especially when coming over an incline and then it keeps going and appears that it will hit the back of that car!
I do not like using the ACC. Is there some way to use just regular cruise control?
Per the Acura MDX Owner's Manual:
"Press and hold the interval button (the one that adjusts your distance from the car in front of you) for one second. Cruise mode selected appears on the driver information interface for two seconds, and then the mode switches to Cruise."
Is it the same for 23 RDX?
I just cannot fathom wanting cruise control but then not wanting ACC???

The green light for the safety support system stays on all the time on my RDX. Is this normal?😢
Acura adaptive cruise control is much better than Nissans pro pilot because the cruise control stays on. With the Nissan pro pilot , you need to turn the pro pilot on every time you want to use the cruise control. That's a two button operation by first turning the pro pilot on and then setting the speed.

Do the brake lights come on when the display has the brake lights on in the dash display?
Yes they do
What care are you driving, and year?
Does this work the same on the RDX A Spec Advanced 2023?
This was a 2023 MDX Tech. It will work the same way on your RDX, but the display will be different on the center screen. You’ll also see some of the ACC graphics on the HUD since yours is an Advance

thank you for your reviews. Which driver's assistant feature is 'smartest' in your opinion in terms of lane centering, intervention required, resuming in stop and go traffic, etc.? Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, or Hyundai/Kia?
They all work pretty well, with a couple of notes: Honda and Toyota will still sell you cars where the Adaptive Cruise will not bring the car to a complete stop. That is a bummer. With Acura the only one that is like that is the Integra with the manual transmission, which is acceptable. Subaru's is amongst the best I've tried, and this Acura MDX worked quite well too.

This is what Tesla said : auto pilot. It just copy other car then making up a fancy name. If you want more thing tesla charge you more money, little is 6k, more then it is 15k, tesla call it FSD for 15k.
Yeah, I almost hit the school bus from behind with tesla active cruise control.
