Can you confirm, when you do a custom cook on high pressure and set the time. Does the unit start counting down right away while heating? Or does it build up pressure first and then once it is creating steam and pressure it starts to count down the timer?
i saw a youtuber bake a cake on the steam function in this. don't you need to add water for the steam function to work? How can we do this using the steam function in the ninja foodie?

No, It doesn't. We select glutinous rice on the menu for white rice. After 10 mins white rice is ready.

Well..m I can tell you right now that this fancy and expensive cuckoo rice cooker won't out performing my 25 year old basic cuckoo electric rice cooker. How do I know that? Because like everybody else, I never cook anything but jasmine rice or sticky rice with it. It still works. Just don't have the heart to get rid of it since it's been with me for so long... hahaha

Does the glutinous + high heating any different from glutinous mode only?
Cooking time wise, high heating is shorter.
@@SamYoo does high heat suitable for specific kind of rice or is it just another feature? Is there a different in the texture of the rice between normal and high heat?
I cannot tell the difference, only time wise I noticed.
