ikr? That’s what I love about FR&LG. Oh don’t forget when you are facing the three trio birds, The annoying part is when it says you missed the target one throwing a poke balls. But now it doesn’t say that whenever you put the trio birds to sleep or not in FR&LG 👍
Skeletal Charizard, your RUclips Profile is the old mega charizard x and mega charizard y. Thats how they were meant to look like but then nintendo wanted to change it.
I started with blue version. Man that was the best in my opinion and I feel blessed that it was my first because for it’s time it was truly a masterpiece, even with the glitches. I recently did a playthrough and yeah having to change boxes and barely being able to hold supplies is annoying but it forces you to be smarter and makes the game more challenging in a way. The 90s were so amazing, a much simpler time and the vibe from red/blue version is unbeatable.
The "definitive" experience is FRLG IMO. You have abilities, held items, breeding, more than 151 Pokemon, post-game quests, legendary hunts, and a relatively challenging maingame
Only thing it's missing is the physical special split and maybe the fact that you can't get certain evolutions until post game. other then that I wouldn't disagree with you there.
Uh, one thing you omitted, the fact you can't evolve your Pokemon further to their Johto evolutions if they have them UNTIL YOU HAVE GOTTEN THE NATIONAL DEX. Which is logically really stupid.
First, Mt. Chimney is in Hoenn. The volcano in these games is Mt. Ember. Second, I'm currently replaying LG, and I just managed to get myself a Venusaur just before Lavender Town. This was possible because I only used three Pokémon until that point, and Rock Tunnel was swarming with Hikers. But now my full team is coming together, just one more remaining.
Saskia Viking I actually finished the main game just last Sunday. I'm currently starting the post game. My team is Venusaur, Pidgeot, Raichu, Ninetales, Vaporeon, and Rhydon.
I don't get why all of you make such a big deal about being or not a genwunner. I mean, I'm 26 and I grew up with the first pokemon Red and Blue, but guess what: they're not my favorite games. My favorites are Gold, Silver and Crystal. But whatever, let's suppose I'm a fan of red and blue... why would I get angry if you said something like "gen one was broken in terms of battling"? I actually came to this looking for Gen 4. I can't wait to hear what you say, since alot of people consider Pokémon Platinum to be the 'Ultimate' Pokémon game in terms of gameplay.
(I love all Pokémon games but, in my opinion I'd agree to Platinum, HG & SS being the most fun to play due to them having everything. Like Emerald on steroids.)
This game was so nostalgic for me, after having started with Red a few years prior. It's great that they made a remake. Even greater that this remake is compatible with the later installments of the game. They had too after all, since Pokémon from the original first and second Gen weren't compatible with the later games, not until they came out as console versions in 2018.
I'm very anti-change lol I'm especially picky when it comes to things I love. I grew up with Red, and picked up FireRed/LeafGreen a while back, and it felt like coming home. They did a fantastic job on them. I'm pretty meh on the endgame stuff, but the look is incredible, and in spite of the annoying handholding, overall it's just so much better. I'm not easy to please. I don't even like Gen 2 very much because the new pokemon don't seem right (though amphy is great), let alone the other gens. But they did so much right with it. I'm so grateful I got a chance to play these games, and I"m so grateful they made them the way they did. They could have been a LOT worse, that's for damn sure. The originals are just kinda hard to play after the updates to fr/lg, as they make things so much nicer. Love fr/lg. Love it love it love it.
Based, I feel like Im the only boomer who never had time to bother learning anything after the orginial 151, even when I was a kid and gold/silver first came out.
Wasn't Charmander literally given metal claw just so it wasn't screwed against Brock Also people tend to chastise Chikorita users for playing 'hard mode', what's with the double standards?
This is my favorite pokemon game ever because it was the first one i ever played when i was 9. i played through it countless times and i still never tire of it. i love everything about it and yes i'm blinded by nostalgia and bias, but don't get me wrong, i love all the pokemon games that came before and after it as well.
Definitely a great game & so much better than the original Gen. 1 game & personally the best Gen. 3 game for me. Firered and Leafgreen just became one of my favorite Pokemon games along with Gold, Silver and Crystal + Heartgold and Soulsilver & Black and White + Black and White 2.
Wow that was fast! I only remember it being like 1 or 2 weeks after the gen 3 review and the fackt that you have to play through the game write a script and you even made a collab with that other guy. I'm not a youtuber so maybey (sorry for the spelling) its more easy than it sounds but this is still an amazing review.
"those [gen1] games are hard to play" I just played pokemon yellow 3 times in the past week. Not "hard" just different from newer titles. You have to relearn the gen1 mechanics, like speed influencing crit ratios, and which types are physical and which are special, and you have to remember that special is one stat. I found that once I relearned these mechanics, replaying gen 1 was really fun. so fun that I did it 3 times in one week. Plus I love the old sprites, and fat Pikachu is bae.
Pokemon Blue was my first game (brother had red) and if some kid now asked me if he should play the originals I would direct him to play FireRed/LeafGreen as they are originals that have been properly updated for the best experience. Now that we have gotten so far along in gameplay and technology, the originals feel very clunky and can take away from the fun.
i loved FR/LG, just wished they were able to finish the rest of the sevii islands before the time constraints. overall one of my favorite remakes (HG/SS being the best)
When you said that you were so impressed by the Gameboy Advance’s new wireless trading device because “you never owned your very own link cable”, I immediately understood your position regarding Gen 1. I would even go so far as to say that one cannot possibly comprehend the true depth of Gen 1 without having experienced the full social experience. The unique combination of RPG elements that a single player loves, but inside of a candy coating of a social aspect. When one played red and blue from original release, went to school where everybody was talking about and playing Pokémon, battled each other and made trades in the classroom, it was literally magical, it took something like an RPG, the type of kid who usually played that sort of game was almost always a loner, and it encouraged them to be social in a fun and non-forcing way. So my entire point is not that you couldn’t experience something similar in later generations, but that since you didn’t play red and blue during its release timeframe, it was literally impossible to play in the same social sort of way, because by that time, the world had moved on and were playing a different gen. So if you could take that into account when you evaluate red and blue, I think it would seriously help in the overall understanding!
Eleven. Red was ELEVEN. The whole "Pokemon trainers become eligible to train Pokemon at ten" was anime only, and does not apply to the games at all. There are PRE-SCHOOLERS in Gen V with friggin' dragons and they're like five. Hell, none of our protags have ever been ten; Red and Leaf were 11, we have no idea how old Gold and Krys/Lyra are, Brendan and May are 12, Hilda and Hilbert are "old enough to have a driver's license", according to the official handbook, we don't know how old Rosa and Nate are, and Serena and Calem look to be teenagers but with customization you can make them look older or younger as you please with different outfits and haircuts. Sorry, I really like RandomTens but that is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.
I never finished fire red. It was my first pokemon game. I used an emulator, I had just reached the Elite four when I get a update notification. I update my Phone and guess what? The update bugged out and my phone never recovered. I lost the phone and the save. I was kind of heart broken. My Blastoise will never fight Blue in a Glorious battle for the championship.
I really hate it when that happens. You play an awesome game on an emulator and just when you're about to finish the game or you're close to finishing the game, an update for the emulator gets released then updates automatically, deleting or making the older save incompatible with the emulator in the process.
I put Black and White & Black and White 2 in the top 3 along with Gold, Silver and Crystal; along with it's remake Heartgold and Soulsilver & Firered and Leafgreen. I'm sorry, but I love Black and White and Black and White 2 so much.
I also started with Gen 2. I was a Pokefan during Gen 1 with the anime, cards, and various other merchandise but the only Pokemon games I played back then where Pokemon Stadium 1 and Pokemon Snap because being a little kid I wasn't able to afford a Gameboy or convince my parents to get me one. However, my parents surprised me on my birthday with a new Gameboy Color and Pokemon Gold. It was after Gold that I saved up money and went back to Yellow and Red, and just like Gold I played the heck out of those games despite being late to the party. They may not be my favourite games or generation but I still love those games and have respect for those who grew up playing the Gen 1 games.
Fire Red was my 1st Pokemon game ever and I recall using a magazine given to me by my brother year prior, back on gen 2 was about to come out, but it had a complete walkthrough of the gen 1 games and that was very helpful to me whenever I god stuck thanks to the similarities between the originals and the remakes.
Red was a very hard game, my first time I barely beat it and quit after I beat blue. I couldn’t put down gold though, I played it until I maxed the play time and ran the battery dry. I had enough Kanto from gen 2. It wasn’t until after I lost my sapphire version that I even considered getting fire red. The game is still slow after surge, and then too fast after you get the silph scope, but the modern (at the time) graphics and mechanics made it an enjoyable game. Though I still feel the only reason I even like red and blue and their remakes today are because I’ve played through them so many times in my life and I know most of the things there is to know about them so I never blindly stumble through the whole game anymore. 5 year old me could only keep track of so many things
Yo good review! I'm not that much of a fan of these games, not that fond of Kanto personally, but I do think they are still pretty good games overall. Also, am I the only one who actually really dislikes the OST (probably not lol)? I think they ruined a lot of the tracks, and this is coming from someone who LOVED the Gen 3 trumpets in RSE. also XDboy140 did a good job in this review! now finish that DK64 review, my good man
That was quite the review. Covered parts of the Sevii Islands. Had a few areas that could've possibly been spoken of. But overall, was good. I have three really big regions I adore which are Johto, Sinnoh & Unova. But Kanto does have its moments.
In Pokemon S/G/C you can find roaming beasts much faster. Fly to Ecruteak City, choose any route and use max reppel with pokemon lv30-40 on lead the look for any of the trio. If you won't hit the target, fly to Mahogany Town and do the same thing. You would probably be able to encounter all the beasts within 1 hour.
I honestly love fire red so much that I’ve dedicated a lot of time recently to getting the entire national dex finished on there. It’s been quite the journey but I’m at 362/386, I can really only get realistically 381 cause I’ll need to buy gale of darkness but luckily all the remaining mons I need are on that game. I may eventually put everything over onto my emerald copy to finally finish the battle frontier and shiny hunt through breeding more efficiently but I’ll always have the main mons on fire red. My OG game
7:10 *note: actually psychic-type is still broken, for playthroughs of the game. It's pretty trivial to only use a single Kadabra for battling, for the entirety of the game after obtaining it. (There are no dark types until national dex, and, gen 1 had this problem where like 50% of pokemon were dual-typed poison.)
If you are a 'Kanto purist', it's better to stick to the original games. I would honestly recommend Pokemon Yellow on the Game Boy Color over these remakes for the definitive Kanto experience. The remakes are basically shoehorning Gen III (including it's weaknesses...) into Kanto, rather then being the definitive experience. That's what Yellow, Crystal and Emerald are there for. Besides, who wants a Kanto experience you can't exploit glitches for maximum fun!
After almost 20 years, to me these games are still the best games to start as a new player. Just the original 151, then, when almost done the introduction to the national dex and getting some johto mons is a great way to get excited about other games.
Honestly, I never could bring myself to like FR/LG all that much. Something about them always bored me to death, and I would have more fun replaying Red and Blue instead. I don't have this problem with HGSS (in fact I don't think I've fully replayed a Gen II game ever since the remakes came out), for instance, so it isn't just nostalgia either. I find FRLG's version of Kanto pretty boring. While I guess they were going for faithfulness, the originals at least had the one-color cities to make they look distinctive, while in FRLG everything just blends together. HGSS did a much better job of making the cities and routes look more unique again. I also dislike most of the music remixes. Trumpets fit the Hoenn soundtrack but not Kanto's.
I'm the opposite. I like Firered and Leafgreen more than Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. I don't hate Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, but I don't see it being one of the best games in the series.
....It's not, though. That's not how review scales work. A 1 is a terrible game and a 10 is a perfect game; therefore, assuming we're speaking strictly in terms on integers, a 5 is a completely average game. I have no idea why so many people seem to completely misunderstand this.
Seamichu Nope. 0-59% F, 60-69% D, 70-79% C, 80-89% B, 90-100% A. Though I've heard it's different in different places, this is the only grading scale I've ever known
I think you should’ve talked more about the Sevii islands. I’m not sure if you mentioned it but once you unlock islands 4-7 you can find Pokémon from gen 2 on those islands and if I remember correctly there’s a couple more puzzles and things to do. I just feel you glossed over the best part of these games
last time i was this early the doctor put me in an incubator. another great review man! we have such a randy four gen four, lets get cracking on it stan!
The physical/special split as late as occurring in Gen 4 is really unfortunate. It makes the previous Gens practically unplayable, especially with my favorite pokemon Haunter unable to effectively use Shadow Ball because it's a physical attack.
As a kid I always thought I had to catch a chansey and make it go through its evolution animation phase to unlock the sevii islands.I later found out as a teen it was actually because I always strive to catch them all as a kid I always hit the 60 species caught marker each playthrough without noticing. But I remember the first time I played through the game and thinking my game was broken because chansey and Golbat didn't evolve through my playthrough lol also I wish pokemon would use this pokedex again. This was by far my favorite pokedex.
Her name is not Leaf! It's Blue or Green whichever you don't call the rival do to regional stuff. She originated in the Manga, and calling her something else is just stupid.
Diamond/Pearl is what made me love pokemon as a kid, so i immediately played every game in order up to black/white. I play fire red for gameplay purposes and red for nostalgic purposes. Story is the same so i love them equally. This is irrelevant but....Crystal is the best pokemon game ever til this day imo.
God- this was my first game - It’s such a memory seeing this game Being born in 2000 I was a bit late to the pokemania- I stopped playing around when diamond and pearl came out But got into it around platinum and HG and SS
I know fire red was my first pokemon game back in the day and then I played leaf green and went back to play the originals and so on and so on. Great way to get into the pokemon franchise.
You need to go and play the gen 1 Pokemon Blue and Red. I played those games (Blue version) and loved it. You're missing out playing only Fire Red, Leaf Green. You'll never know the true differences until you experience the gen 1 games. Yeah FR, LG are better in terms of updates, etc. but you'll never know the real origins from the beginning. I suggest you buy the gen 1 system with the games, experience it, then make another video; being less bias/prejudice. Blue and Red are the all time sellers when it comes to Pokemon games despite its old technology.
The only thing I didn't like about the remakes is precisely that they forced you to capture a certain amount of Pokémon to be able to continue and unlock the post-game. Probably 60 Pokémon won't seem a lot to most people but for me it really felt like a chore :/
In my honest opinion, this is not only the defendant version of Gen. 1, but also the best Gen. 3 game & one of my favorite Pokemon games in general. It did so many things right to me from fixing alot of arcadic style of the original games to a whole new & better gameplay mechanics in the remake & I enjoy this Gen. 3 game than I have with Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. I know I'm probably gonna get alot of hate for dishing out the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald fanboys out there, but hey. That's how I feel & whether y'all agree with me or not.
Gen 1 is 10/10 for it's time and innovation. Not to mention spawning the entire Pokemon series. Yeah it's buggy and dated and nearly unplayable by today's standards, do 6/10 is generous *IF* it were released today. But it was released in 1998
To me fire red and leaf green are pretty much perfect the only thing that should have been changed is the Kanto pokemon should have been able to evolve to their Johto evolutions and it should have had a way to catch all the legendaries/gen 2 pokemon that weren't able to be caught in Ruby and Sapphire.
i'm not a genwunner nor gen 1 purist, but i never bother to use or learn about berries because i think potions are more than enough to help me through my journey.
Firered and Leafgreen are so much better than the original & honestly, this is my favorite of the Gen. 3 era. Nothing bad about Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. I do like the game. But to me, Firered and Leafgreen is much more gaming experience and less chore than Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald & it just makes the game more fun. I would say Firered and Leafgreen are right up there with Black 2 and White 2, Heartgold and Soulsilver, Black and White, Sun and Moon & Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as one of my favorite Pokemon games.
Agreed about Gen 1. I'm playing Red right now.....and they are painful to play. My biggest issue is lack of organisation of your inventory, and pokemon. Its just one giant list... Also...pokemon learn sooooo few moves..... Meanwhile FireRed is the same game, but less broken....
I kind of feel like the Sevi Islands were good, but a bit underwhelming. Still, it is a good remake and I have to disagree about the tutorials. Sure the one with Blue is there (Still not as bad as Black and White walking you through a Pokemon Center), but after watching the old man catch a Weedle, the Teach TV is probably the best of a tutorial of a Pokemon game as it teaches you the basics in an amusing way, but it doesn't force you to have to do the tutorial like many other Gens. It is a nice remake still, but without emulating, you're going to spend quite a bit to play it.
14 hours late, I was out of town shopping for stuff sorry! But awesome review as always! (Obviously Pokémon Weed- er I meant Leaf Green is better) (At least I got myself a Natsu Funko Pop out of town. I just started my collection, I only have Tracer, Widowmaker, and Natsu rn :P)
blue/gary has been murdered by gamefreak, ... at the demand of angry ignorant game corner hating parents, who can't stand that their children are being pushed forward by a competitive guy who BLATANTLY know more about pokemon and is better at pokemon battling than them, making their child actually TRY, to keep/catch up with their rival
The best part about FireRed and LeafGreen is that you don't have to change PC boxes that was a pain in the original games.
Star Pit holy shit I Played silver these days and when I found a ditto and couldnt store it I got so mad I named my boxes like swears, lol the maturity
And you can obtain all the Hitmons and the Kanto eevelutions in a single play through (although Eevee can’t evolve into Espeon or Umbreon)
ikr? That’s what I love about FR&LG. Oh don’t forget when you are facing the three trio birds, The annoying part is when it says you missed the target one throwing a poke balls. But now it doesn’t say that whenever you put the trio birds to sleep or not in FR&LG 👍
Exactly glad the issue got solved in future games was so annoying back in gen 1 and 2
Yep ruby and sapphire didnt have that
Pokemon Firered was my first Pokemon game, and I truly love even to this day

People over exaggerate on the glitches It was fine It was honestly not a big deal If anything made the game interesting
Imagine if the legendary beasts were in the Gen 1 games.
Red used a Master Ball!
Your PokeBall missed!
Suicune ran away...

Saskia Viking I actually finished the main game just last Sunday. I'm currently starting the post game. My team is Venusaur, Pidgeot, Raichu, Ninetales, Vaporeon, and Rhydon.
pretty good team
Saskia Viking Thanks. I'm still finalizing the movesets in preparation for the E4 rematches, such as waiting for Rhydon to learn Megahorn.
Bulbasaur is the game’s easy mode, you have the advantage all the way up till the 4th gym.
4:50 Correction: You can't catch Mewtwo without the national dex.
This was my first ever Pokemon game I've played and alot of nostalgia for it. So many good memories.

Exactly, we know it had bugs, but that's because it was the first games; it's bound to happen
Gold, Silver and Crystal are my favourites as well
Of course bulbasaur is easy mode. it has the type advantage over the first half of the game
True, but you can catch a mankey and pikachu before facing the first 2 gyms.
But gets clapped by Sabrina and Blaine

Holy fuck obviously picking bulbasaur is the easy mode are you daft smfh
Same xD I'm up to 29 level 100s working on Heracross and Ampharos at the moment.
Lol I fully played these games in 2018 and I had a tons of fun playing it. But that's Just my opinion
Amen! Gold was my first version I played but quickly picked up a copy of Red for me the lack of an XP bar is the worst.
Over 200h, Sweet:D

Dope! I just purchased leaf green for my son to start playing. I can’t wait to go through this game with him!
How was it?
Fire red is my favorite in the series, although lavender town was better in the original
True, thats my only complain for those games, but still the same thing
The Gen 1 region, music and original 151, combined with the visuals, gameplay, and presentation of gen 3 was basically a match made in heaven.... which is probably why FRLG are still my favourite Pokemon games to this day.

Pokemon has one of the oddest fandoms i swear.

The revamp gen-one models in this game we're so on point! Gorgeous and nostalgic!

The music in these games is just fantastic. I love it.
so much cringe .. dont invite random people ..
imo the best thing in this game is the remastered Gold and Silber music it is just so awsome and makes me feel like a child when I played gold

Based, I feel like Im the only boomer who never had time to bother learning anything after the orginial 151, even when I was a kid and gold/silver first came out.
This review was absolutely amazing. And was made even better by purpleman420
Hi Slim. He’s a god of sight but also sometimes of crossovers
@@RandomTens Stan cameo in RoyBoy video when? 👀
Bulbasaur is this games easy mode
True, but mankey and pikachu can be caught before facing the first 2 gyms.
Wasn't Charmander literally given metal claw just so it wasn't screwed against Brock
Also people tend to chastise Chikorita users for playing 'hard mode', what's with the double standards?
@@unwithering5313 No double standard really. People just hate Chikorita for some reason
@@unwithering5313 true. But having Mankey in your party is highly recommended when choosing Charmander.
Gen 1 is my favorite but gen 2 will always be more fun for me to play for some reason.
Please stop doing cringey things it really alienates an older audience/ anyone above 12.
12 year old thug LMAO

Luka Magic nope I’m 12 and it does indeed alienate me.
DOOM making a valid criticism.
Yo I thought you were just being a dick, until two minutes in and the dude has his boyfriend doing a skit
This is my favorite pokemon game ever because it was the first one i ever played when i was 9. i played through it countless times and i still never tire of it. i love everything about it and yes i'm blinded by nostalgia and bias, but don't get me wrong, i love all the pokemon games that came before and after it as well.
I love these reviews so much
FireRed was my first game and I have a really soft spot for this games. They are my favorite.
Agreed. I’ve taking a shine and favor in fire red and leaf green Waymore than red and blue version
LeafGreen was my first game and I still have a huge soft spot for it. I know a lot of purists prefer the originals but the remakes are my cup of tea.
I actually started with FRLG. Not a bad way to begin, in my opinion
Has there ever been a RUclips "collaboration" video that isnt awkward and terrible as shit? Stooooooppp
Just because you liked the mechanics of gen 1, dosent mean everyone liked or will like it too. Personally, for me, the games aged HORRIBLY.
Also please never include this dude again. His voice is painful.
+rep
No tea no shade
He is awesome and shows respect to gen 1.
The older pokemon games have not aged well. Plain and simple.
1:32 ok cool... FINE... FUCK! WHY IS THIS COLLAB SO CRINGE
i started with gen 2 as well man, don't feel bad. later I went back to play Red version
Full Sinnoh review plz :D
i loved FR/LG, just wished they were able to finish the rest of the sevii islands before the time constraints. overall one of my favorite remakes (HG/SS being the best)
I agree.
Savage Comment Section, Thanks you guys for the LOL's
Arcanine is always worth it if you wait to evolve it until it learns Flamethrower
The Loneliest Rocket dicks out for this man :/ Im sure your blastoise still loves you to this day
I really hate it when that happens.

These were my first pokemon games. I have so much love and nostalgia for these games!
Same
I also started with Gen 2.
I think they ruined a lot of the tracks, and this is coming from someone who LOVED the Gen 3 trumpets in RSE.
also XDboy140 did a good job in this review! now finish that DK64 review, my good man
Im on it! It'll be out november! November 2045 that is. Haha
He's the leader of the bunc
That was quite the review. Covered parts of the Sevii Islands. Had a few areas that could've possibly been spoken of. But overall, was good. I have three really big regions I adore which are Johto, Sinnoh & Unova. But Kanto does have its moments.
Kanto is THE moment.
Can every month be PokeMonth?
My OG game
Good job guys! I really hate getting shinies in the battle frontier. RAGE QUIT COMMENCE!!!
BladeBlur hey blade nice seeing you here
7:10 *note: actually psychic-type is still broken, for playthroughs of the game.
This was actually my first pokemon game
Mine too & I didn't regret it. I would play this over Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald anyday.
.....This Roy guy knows that a six out of ten is a positive review, right?
That's a D tho
....It's not, though. That's not how review scales work. A 1 is a terrible game and a 10 is a perfect game; therefore, assuming we're speaking strictly in terms on integers, a 5 is a completely average game. I have no idea why so many people seem to completely misunderstand this.
Actually a 60% is an F.
Seamichu Nope. 0-59% F, 60-69% D, 70-79% C, 80-89% B, 90-100% A. Though I've heard it's different in different places, this is the only grading scale I've ever known
Kevin Thompson Oh yeah it might be different in my school.
My old Ruby/Sapphire GB game broke down...but good thing I got the remake lol...but Fire Red is my go to game.
For the final time, charizard is not based on a fucking dragon
I think you should’ve talked more about the Sevii islands. I’m not sure if you mentioned it but once you unlock islands 4-7 you can find Pokémon from gen 2 on those islands and if I remember correctly there’s a couple more puzzles and things to do. I just feel you glossed over the best part of these games
last time i was this early the doctor put me in an incubator. another great review man! we have such a randy four gen four, lets get cracking on it stan!
Great video bro, keep the good job, greethings from Venezuela
Wish most games did remake their old games with new engines
Bulbasaur is indeed Easy Mode
The physical/special split as late as occurring in Gen 4 is really unfortunate. It makes the previous Gens practically unplayable, especially with my favorite pokemon Haunter unable to effectively use Shadow Ball because it's a physical attack.
Pokemon Let's go Pikachu and Eevee will blow these games out of the water.
LOL. No the hell they won't 😂🤣
Many Pokemon games blow these remakes out of the water...
Why does every reviewer have an evil nemesis that interrupts their review?
You are one of the best pokemon youtubers dude :)
Just waiting for the next THE RAREST FREDDY FUNKOS!
God- this was my first game -
It’s such a memory seeing this game
Being born in 2000
I was a bit late to the pokemania- I stopped playing around when diamond and pearl came out
But got into it around platinum and HG and SS
I know fire red was my first pokemon game back in the day and then I played leaf green and went back to play the originals and so on and so on. Great way to get into the pokemon franchise.
I have to be honest, the The original games are classics but FRLG is the Best Experience of Kanto.
Seeing seeing the target audience makes me question my being here.
But it was released in 1998
Sorry for the late reply but its not reviewed as if it were 1988 because its not its being reviewed by todays standards
FR&LG is 100/10
To me fire red and leaf green are pretty much perfect the only thing that should have been changed is the Kanto pokemon should have been able to evolve to their Johto evolutions and it should have had a way to catch all the legendaries/gen 2 pokemon that weren't able to be caught in Ruby and Sapphire.
i'm not a genwunner nor gen 1 purist, but i never bother to use or learn about berries because i think potions are more than enough to help me through my journey.
Please make the sound a little more hearible. Its lots of muffled speach not really understandable without CC turned on.
Which one is the best version?!?! Fire red or leaf green? Help me guys, I can't pick one.
They are identical, however each version has Pokemon exclusives, so it really depends on what Pokemon you like.
Did anyone catch his rating in this video? I assume 10/10. :P
I started a playthrough of firered last night.
on the phone emulators its cool because you can set up wifi connectivity with friends
blue/gary has been murdered by gamefreak, ... at the demand of angry ignorant game corner hating parents, who can't stand that their children are being pushed forward by a competitive guy who BLATANTLY know more about pokemon and is better at pokemon battling than them, making their child actually TRY, to keep/catch up with their rival
