The Queen was not a perfect person, neither was her husband. But I could say that at least they have shared 73 years of loving marriage filled with sacrifices, understanding and tolerance any couple could ever dream of having.

My grandmother was 13 when she married my grandfather 18 at that time. They had 65 years of married life together before my grandfather died and 14 months after my grandmother also died 💔. I think it becomes hard living with someone such an early age for so long then living without them becomes impossible,somewhere the sadness 😔 is hard to overcome 💔 😢 ❤️

Sorry for you loss , my grandparents were married 60 years . my granfather passed away and then my grandmother 12 days later . i read its very common for elderly couples to pass away shortly after one another. It's nicknamed the broken heart syndrome

It most certainly was not an arranged marriage as the court was not too happy about Princess Elizabeth falling for Philip.
Prince Phillips face didn't change that much throughout the years, but the Queen face quite a lot. Maybe of the stress on the job.

My husband passed June 1st 2021. You sometimes don't know what you've got until it's gone, but their marriage still had vigour, which is a rarity. I believe they're together in the beyond now ❤️

Queen Elizabeth was more than just a mother to Her Four children She was a mother to Millions of people across the globe throughout her reign.She was at the very heart of what it means to be British. Some of my earliest memories were Royal ones I remember the silver jubilee of 1977 and the subsequent ones right up until this year’s platinum one. From the very first moment I was capable of understanding what money and postage stamps were there she was Smiling back at me. She in my opinion has done a more impressive job than any other monarch in History guiding us through the dark times holding our hand like any good mother should. I really could go on all afternoon but I will have to leave it here by saying goodbye your majesty thankyou for touching my life and millions of others RIP

The Queen was a wonderful wife and caring mother, worked so hard and put her country and people before her own wishes. She had to go abroad for weeks at times,when I'm sure she would have loved to have been at home with her children.
She was then deprived of the Royal Yacht, it was decommissioned for economy reasons, nonsense. she must have missed it so much, it was the only way she could bring her children when carrying out her duties abroad, but she never complained. She is at her well earned rest now,with her wonderful Prince Philip, but I have faith in our new King and Queen he was well tutored by his beloved mother. Long live King Charles and Queen Camilla

I completely agree. I always detested the way the world was designed in such an unfair hierarchical way. People should be judged by the content of their character, instead of by their bank accounts or social status. This hierarchical thinking often works against people, when they get fooled and manipulated by those they perceive to be superior to them. I particularly dislike how celebrities are perceived as some demigods. They're just people who happen to be particularly good at a certain skill, like acting or athletic abilities and they're not in any way superior to a person who's good at accounting or nursing.

King Charles is far from the greatness of his father, Prince Philip, who showed the greatness of manhood by giving up his own personal preferences for a career and a future to be 3 steps behind the queen, a great sacrifice he had to consciously offer for the sake of the Crown, that was why the Queen could stand firmly for her empire.... That was real heroism, very manly of Prince Philip, very much unlike Charles who only settled for his own whims and comfort. He totally has remained an immature, selfish, spoiled brat, not fit for the crown....

Incredible love story? She had to put up with his infidelity early on in her marriage, but felt "for the sake of the monarchy " to turn a blind eye. Now because of the length of their marriage I understand why she mourns his passing. But theirs wasn't an incredible love story.

The Queen pandered to Philip too much. Making him the head of the family. She should have had more say in the upbringing in her children’s school life. She should have put her foot down when it came to Charles going to Gordonstoun. He wasn’t suited to the school at all.
