How would you define "good" coaching? Tactical or technical. Or something else?

Tactical and technical are both very important. Good coaching is making a player better technically, tactically and physically. The higher the level of the player the “better” and more knowledgeable the coach has to be

Yes, it costs money to be a professional tennis player. By far, those who can’t pay the money are not good enough. The best option is college tennis, where you get pro level training for free with an education is thrown in. What we need to talk about the easiest way to make a living in all of pro sports - professional doubles. These guys and women are failed singles players. They never even breathe heavy in a match in their entire careers, even at the highest level. The level of pro doubles is going down every year. Notice how old the successful doubles players are? It’s because the level is falling. Ram and Bopanna were more mediocre 10 years ago. Now they are top of the pile. Shocking. Get the education and realize it’s greater value. Shockingly, among the many bad things that the USTA did to tennis was to talk down college tennis in the 90’s. A dream is not the answer in sports; results are the answer. College tennis takes care of having the dream and reality combine.
