I like this song much more than the current German anthem. It reflects a lot on World War 2 and how they can rebuild society. It doesn’t mention Communism so I think it would still be a great anthem for Germany.
I do agree that this song is an absolute banger (in fact many communist songs are) sadly I can imagine the controversy that would ensue if Germany decided to keep what many still see as a communist anthem. Although perhaps over time this would’ve faded?

The Nazis used Deutschlandlied so it's a bit hypocritical for Germany to say "Auferstanden aus Ruinen is never gonna be our anthem because it's too related to the Commies" when they can't even use Deutschlandlied's first two verses because it's "too related to the Nazis"
This is definitely the best version of this song I ever heard and for me as a German evey thing I can say is:"Ich will das als Neue Nationalhymne haben!"

I think the song needed a bit more bass and drums, and the song should have had some sort of climax point where tension builds until a climatic orchestra of high humbling drums at the midle and end of the song.
