SAME about A Little Life. I read it years and years ago and loved it and still do. I know people love to hate on it but I think they don’t want or can’t take the pain. Yanagihara has some of the most beautiful prose out there. Can’t wait to read Death Valley, Adelaide and My Dark Vanessa!

Exactly I think it’s just one of those things that are too depressing for people and no one wants to hear it. I hope you like them!

Videos like this are important because we don't all like to just read extreme horror all the time, and I'd rather get lit fic recommendations from someone with similar tastes than, say, an English professor.

I figured this video wouldn’t get a ton of love since it’s not my usual content but sometimes only reading horror is just TOO MUCH and it’s good to branch out

I'm gonna buy Adelaide because of how you described it. I don't really read literary fiction but this book sounds soooo incredibly relatable.
Around 5 months ago, I escaped a very toxic and abusive relationship which made me want to be single forever. I am currently suffering from PTSD and my mental health is egregious.
Thank you for this video. 🖤Reading Adelaide will be a cathartic experience.
