Turn up the volume!!! It's LZ!! Can't barely hear the song with volume all the way up!!! Robert Plant plays a mean harmonica!! He's the singer. He does it again in "When the Levee breaks!" Look forward to more LZ (with the volume up). ;)

I have an hilarious story about this song. I’m 63 years old and my “ little”cousin is about 47. I am a diehard Zeppelin fan. I taught him to sing this song when he was about 3 or 4 and his uptight mother went nuts!!! We laugh about it today! Go Zeppelin 🎼

"You feel it". Yep, that's Led Zeppelin. Greatest rock band in history. Flipping creative geniuses and master musicians. No other band has ever been able to capture their magic. None.
I see you've reacted to the first three tracks of album 1. Hopefully, you'll continue on in order and react to the next track, "Dazed and Confused". If you do, you're in for another incredible journey so buckle up!
Thanks for a great reaction. BTW, crank up the sound, eh? ;)

I KNOW all genres. I was as the ripe age for ALL genres..a tennager in the 1980's which was the beginnings of rap. Rap comes from rock n roll believe this or not. My household as a child was all of rock n roll. As a teen in the 80's I had a younger brother that gravitated to rap. Because of him I got into Snoop Dog big time & everything that was hip at the time..absolutely loved! I can say 100% that the rock n roll genre will always be here to stay in my heart deeply. Rap is a genre that can go.I will not miss. I am well rounded in rap. I can say that rock n roll is dear to my heart.🔴

Hi, man- greetings from Canada. Nice job, right appreciation- well done you. Need more volume though for we survivors of the '60s. Blues Rock with Robert and Jimmy's guitar shadowing each others call and response... prime Blues Rock. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

    - Expect the unexpected when it comes to Zeppelin!
    - They're quite diverse; and always weaving things together expertly, w/ seeming ease.
    - Each musician is amazing in their own right, but the synergy is unreal!
    - BTW, the often unsung hero is JPJ (John Paul Jones); an accomplished studio musician prior to joining Zep, he provides much of the ambience, while every now and then rising to the fore.
    - And Jimmy Page is clearly phenomenal on guitar (including improvisation live) - but, he is also a fine audio engineer., and is largely responsible for the Zeppelin studio "sound".
    - So yes, the "hype" is justified.
    - Enjoy

Love your reactions. I have subscribed to your channel and have notifications on. You are going to get a lot of new subscribers by doing late 60’s and 70’s Rock. Best music ever. Of course it was the music of my teenage years so I’m a bit bias. 😉 I don’t know how much you know about Zeppelin. To help your algorithm, I will comment on each song and give you some interesting info about the band.

  • @henriettaskolnick4445

Zep was considered "hard rock/heavy blues" and they wove a bit of blues throughout their catalogue in addition to other influences, which you'll see in time. This song was like a mini introduction for each member because they each had a bit of a solo to give a hint of what they could do from bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones on organ, vocalist Robert Plant on harmonica, founder/producer/guitarist Jimmy Page and drummer extraordinaire John Bonham. You'll find that Zeppelin's instrumentation has just as much (and sometimes more) presence as the vocals. Some of the Zep credos are "tight but loose", "whisper to the thunder", and "light and shade" - you will learn all of what this means and I'm looking forward to your journey.

  • @joescott8877

0:28 No, you had it right the first time "Zeppelin should be turned UP, lol! This is one of many where they seem to be saying :So here's what we can do, world," as all four members get their little time-to-shine solos, even Robert Plant on the harmonica. People can bicker, but no ONE member was more talented than the other three. & then they gelled so well that they still embody that "The Whole is greater than the sum of its parts" saying. That intangible "something" extra. Great commentary about each instrument telling stories, etc!

A slow , lazy and sexy blues song . NO Pro tools ! Their gear was relatively basic then but they were so unbelievably talented they got that sound that you hear without all the high tech . I love when Jimmy comes in on the guitar on this one . The late 60’s/ early 70’s had a soul . And thank you for having excellent taste and the intelligence to appreciate this music .

@tomitoreacts1017 Led Zepplin was majorly influenced by American Blues even though they were four white guys from England. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were totally into the blues. John Bonham taught himself to play drums by listening to top jazz drummers, so he has a “swing” to his drumming that other rock drummers didn’t have. He is considered the great rock drummer of all time. John Paul Jones was also influenced by the Chicago rhythm and blues, and funk. All were self taught except for Jonsey. He came from a musical family and plays just about any instrument you give him. He often plays keys plus playing bass with his feet so he could duplicate the sound on stage.
