The switch cannot be initialy configured stand alone, right ? I mean by having just a PC with a Web Browser only connected to a port. It´s mandatory to provide ip by DHCP (no ip default) and UnifiController for first set up also, right ?

Can we configure the switch as a standalone in the unifi network through mobile app ?

You can configure only Access Points as Standalone devices.

Not a bad switch for the price, I've got 2 of them and they work well, but be aware they do get extremely warm.
I've historically been a fan of UBNT, but they've seriously let their brand down over the past 1-2 years.
Moving away from seperate components, self-hostable management etc, failing to deliver any multi-gig switch.. then most recently the Telemetry scandal with the devices calling home (and it's still not possible to completely disable this from the UI)

Thank you for sharing that! You are right about the switch it can be indeed get extremely hot! The good with Ubiquiti is that has a big range of products and i believe in a reasonable price. Do you have to propose any other brand to try?
