What an inspiration! I have a chronic illness that's not terminal, and I am guilty of frequently feeling sorry for myself. She will now be my role remodel! I love to be funny, so why not use this negative to laugh?! Thank you for this story about such a remarkable young lady!❤️
Well, Brooke, I don't have ALS but I do have a spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. I admire you for finding humor in your diagnosis; it's good medicine for your soul! I also agree about the issue of being "wheelchair bound":we're not bound to our wheelchairs! I play wheelchair sports. If you haven't, check it out!
I am not naive but I did not realize that so many young women have ALS. I kept thinking of the old movie with Gary Cooper playing Lou Gehrig the NY Yankee baseball player and getting sick. Brooke is lucky to have great support from friends and family and is rolling with the punches with this horrible disease.
I’ve lost the ability to stand and walk over 15 I’ve been bedridden they don’t know what I have I just looked drunk walking and I fall down use lose my balance I don’t have any muscle mass in my legs. Then I had a stroke that also time out my left arm. But I’m happy And I don’t take one day for granted I’m trying everyday to be here. Till they figure out what I have. You go girl keep fighting. 🎉god bless you all

I use a tilt-recline power wheelchair when leaving the house, but most days I use a "Life Glider" hands-free walker. It was a game changer for preserving what muscle I still have.

Jason becker used to play with David lee roth he has ALS since his 20s hes amazing still composes music in his situation and hes had it for some time ! Hes an amazing guy
Umm what kind of humor is that of what she said there on stage about a Kardashian if they got ALS we would all be saved? That's not humor, that's crazy talk.
This girl has it WAY better than so so many people. Look at her with all her gear, private planes, top notch doctors that people could only dream of. She is able to live this way and have this (condescending perspective) bc she’s filthy rich. Her view belittles how so many people suffer with this disease.
Her view does not belittle anyone. It could help others. The fact that she’s still so positive even though she knows she’s going to die is empowering. Because she has ALS you want her to be miserable and have a poor quality of life for the rest of her time with her loved ones? That’s unbelievably cruel. Terrible diseases happen to people all the time. We need to change our thoughts on this and instead of expecting or letting those people be miserable for their remaining time on earth, we need to help them and allow them to find the best way for them to live their lives comfortably and happily. So stop thinking that she should be miserable like most people because of her disease. That’s so negative.
Condescending perspective???? Give me a break! She inspires me to be positive in whatever life throws at me… and I am 54 and healthy! You do you…. Let her do her! I love her!!!!!!
My dad died from ALS and he got diagnosed in 2021 and he died later that year but i knew he had it for a few years i feel sorry for her but she will die before theres no cure for als my dad died at 60 to 62 years old
Just because you say your comment first, doesn't necessarily mean that Inside Edition is gonna like your comment as you think they would, on other channels you be watching. 😂 And also you weren't the first one to be there, there was another comment that you just didn't see before you lol.
It’s horrible to say you wish ALS to a Kardashian even as a joke?? You dislike them but to say that to someone didn’t harm you. She wouldn’t be cool if someone said to her you deserve it.
@@MichelleSK6 Well people should at least care for the sick, and be respectful. Maybe this is a truly horrible world I have no faith in humanity anymore. :(
My dad died from ALS, and his life was similar to hers, almost "unrelatably perfect" and had great friends during his life
Sorry for your loss
May he Rest In Peace
@@Arkensius1157 lmao he’s in 🔥 😂
So proud she made a humor out of it.. just live your life
I’m humbled by your life🎉 15:03
I would be freaking out big time. Shes incredibly brave.
It would be a game changer if all her gadgets were affordable to all ALS patients. Prayers for all suffering

What a new treatment

Has the ALS community looked into the medicinal properties of mushrooms (medicinal & magical)? Also, this lady is wonderful!!
Umm what kind of humor is that of what she said there on stage about a Kardashian if they got ALS we would all be saved? That's not humor, that's crazy talk.
Probably because people love them so much they would find a cure to keep them alive i don't care for celebrities.
Maybe you should listen to understand…
I did the Ice Bucket thing, so you're welcome.
I am not “bound” to my wheelchair. I am “bound” to my faulty body.
So sad😢😢

Well, this is HER story 🤦🏻♀️
Also everything she has is usually covered by any decent insurance. I'm a caregiver for the disabled.
This unfortunately is true, because poor people cannot access these tools to help them.

She knows she's gonna die, she's just trying to make light of her situation. What else can she do?
I can't say I have als symptoms but I have not been diagnosed

This is the punishment. We pay for our sins 😢
What you say is beyond wrong, full of judgement, and very cold.
What do you mean by that?
What could she have possibly done to have something as horrible as ALS as a punishment while narcissists and abusers run around healthy?
