- I met this Italian girl in Delhi when she was about to start her India trip. She spoke of starting from the top ie Kashmir but had been warned by other people not to go because "there are muslims there" and "there is conflict". We ended up becoming good friends and at the end of my trip I invited her to come see Kashmir and stay with my family.
This is her journey.

I recently saw my friend's Instagram on her trip to Kashmir... the gondola, the snowy mountain, comparable to the swiss alps, just wow.. plus it is muslim majority! Suitable for me coming from Kuala Lumpur. I shall go to Srinagar before somebody else will lol

I have been in Kashmir in 2013, I feel so blessed to be over there, It was actually most mesmerising trip of my life .Beautiful place honest people with great..whatever is happening over there is very sad and it should be stop..kashmir is nothing but heaven for tourist..no matter which country or which cast you belong but you should be in Kashmir once in your life ..
Kashmir is totally safe, but the media shows the negative part always. That's why I tell people to visit with an open mind and then tell their experiences. I wanted to see the real Kashmir and experience the warm Kashmiri hospitality. I waited a long time and finally I could not wait any longer! So visited this summer, but it won't be my last. Still lot of places to visit, so Ruman Bro be ready to show me around.. :) Now I consider Kashmir as my second home, made a lot of friends who have made me a part of their family!

I was planning to go to Kashmir to make a documentary and some other videos as well.
Can you please tell me if it would be nice to go in July or should I wait for winters to arrive. I wanted to experience snow as well.
U should wait for winters Kashmir is beautiful in every season but during winters it's too good for shooting videos 😉
you can experience snow in upper reaches even in july,,, in winters all flora will be absent better to visit in july,,one thing you will miss is super beautiful tulip garden....happy journey

Just shows what you can do with a DSLR in good hands, eh? Hopefully I'll be in you neck of the woods later this year. I have long wanted to visit Srinigar and the rest of Kashmir. I came close 30 years ago - now I'm hoping to make it a reality. Good luck.
