I've been following you for a while because of the AMAZING content you put out. So firstly thank you for that. But I just had to come down here and tell you that you've lost so much weight and look great!
Fantastic video, TK. Your content is fire and love the energy. However, as Marty Neumeier would put it, a brand isn't merely about its look and feel. It's about forging an emotional bond with the audience. It's the gut feeling people have about a product, service or organisation. Brands harness this connection to drive irrational purchase decisions and set themselves apart, even the offer is similar to competitors. The 'look and feel' you mentioned is actually the brand identity, just one tiny little component of the broader brand experience. So in your framework, brand identity is less important, but brand is super important, which is basically what you mention in Product Marketing aka Brand Strategy.
This becomes true in mid to later stages. Definitely later stages. Brand is a waste of time in early stages no matter how you want to phrase it and nuance it.
you know *TK* i've had a handful of mediocre companies since building my first ecomm in August of 2001, (not a typo : ) & have often wondered why i see SO many others come & go with MUCH more success with what seems like less effort to me. and i even have a 4 year degree in Marketing. besides all this, i think ur video series on SAAS has started to click for me and open doors as to the objective reasons for this. i spend WAY too much time researching and designing & polishing, if you will, now it seems like this may just be nothing more than concealed procrastination. keep em' coming. thank you. - chris
This is so valuable info TK. I must say here is always something new to learn. Just love your videos and look forward for more around positioning, messaging and Strategic narrative
Hello can u make a video for marketers instead of saas business owners? Im a digital marketing generalist, just starting out, and i heard that if i pick an industry (saas/ fintech/ healthtrch) to soecialize on, i will be more valuable. Can u make a video of how to learn and specialize in saas marketing ?
We launched a SaaS in 2016. It's made close to 2 million up to this point. However we launched with affiliates and then we never did anything else to grow the business so it's slowly declined year after year. Is it possible to "reboot" the marketing and get it back to the level we were at when we launched?
TK, that was power packed performance in 20 minutes! Great content as usual, would love more videos around product marketing.
So glad you’re getting value! Will try to do more of this!
This is so valuable to me. I am a developer, already develop a "Sales Inventory with Accounting" solution and now try to start marketing.
All the best!
Thanks 🙂
Yesssss! So valuable TK! May God bless you 🙏🏿
Glad you’re enjoying this!

Thank you 🙏. I work out 💪.
Yes, good well thought out narrative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great topic! I’ve been telling founders and the team this for years… brand in early stage is a distraction (and burns valuable cash and time)
Well said!
