    Smoggy34 in Scotland here. Glad to see you used my video details. I do get my words mixed up sometimes as I usually do the video,s in one take.
    If you think gold is bad then try silver (see my earlier video,s)
    One offered £100 for a kg silver bar only after it was sent away to be cut in half ! I kid you not !!. Nice video I liked the history as I’ve not been stacking long. I’m starting to edit video,s now so hopefully king Albert won’t be mentioned again. CHEERS

      Dear Smoggy. It's great to hear from you. I will take a look at your "silver" video sometime. I think We should have split this into 2 shorter videos, putting the "history" section into its own "Cash4Gold" video. Did you ever see my post advising not revealing your address online?

    I've used the distance buying service you offer Lawrence and I have to say, it's brilliant! Not because of the way it's set up, which is simple, easy and very quick but because your staff were so good. I had a certain about in mind to send but, due to ever changing personal circumstances, had to change my order multiple times. Every time I contacted Chards, staff knew where we were at, in my order. The flexability over what I was going to end up selling to you was fantastic. At no stage was I made to feel uncomfortable for changing my mind and, I was also offered various options as to how to act. So, thank you and your patient staff for what has turned out to be a very pleasant selling experiance!

    Extreme profit on the way back to the customers too, recent examples being £40 & £45 for silver Britannias in a pawnbrokers window - difficult to justify when they're just over £30 online even with VAT taken into account.

    Steer clear of Pawnbrokers. I go to my local Ramsdens when I pop into town just to get an insult!! A couple of weeks ago they where offering £252 for a Full Sovereign and see them in the window for £540! I see Smoggy in Scotland has posted below and on one of his videos a few months ago was offered I think around £950 for a 1oz Britannia, when spot was around £1830-ish. These companies should be made to put a health warning poster in their windows, warning people of their sharp practices....they are horrible people!!!

    • @lawrencechard5914
      @lawrencechard5914 6 месяцев назад

      One of Smoggy's other videos was his visit to his local Ramsdens branch. It is worth watching mainly for the laughable inefficiency. lack of knowledge and professionalism by its staff member, who seems to have indicated their selling prices in error instead of their buying prices, which they would apparently only confirm after they had posted them to their head office to be checked by their expert with a "special machine", which might take a week. Pathetic!

    Tried to sell Australian sovereigns to a bullion dealer, and was really low-balled as well.

      Were these Sydney Mint AUSTRALIA sovereigns, or British ones with an Australian mintmark? Either way, both types are worth similar amounts.

    Looking forward to this one, they seem especially rotten when it comes to silver, last year a RUclipsr recorded himself calling round a few to see what they'd give him for a Britannia,
    On the day the spot price was £16.96 and they were still only offering him £10.

    A lot of what they sell isn’t in stock either.
    If it’s on display in a premises with a store front, if the store sell it, it can be days before the website updates so you may buy online something thats already gone.
    My advice is that if you buy from them online use a credit card not a debit card.

      Cash Conevrters are a franchise, so they may vary considerably, but most similar High Street operators seem to expect to make 50% to 100% mark up os cost.
