Dude you speak clearly, concisely, to the point, you don't take an eternity to explain everything AND you drop hot keys during your explanation. You sir, are doing the Lord's work. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for explaining that the Ripple and Roll tools actually complement one another, and using a proper action sequence to illustrate it so clearly. The Ripple used to match the two clips, allowing the Roll to move the cut point later or earlier, whilst keeping both clips in sync.
FYI. When using the Selection Tool, holding Control (on a PC) changes to either Ripple or Roll when hovering over a relevant section of a clip. Very useful... and these Tutorials are AMAZING!
I'm using Premiere Pro for 10+ years but I didn't know that, always used the regular trim tool because didn't really understand, how these works :) Thanks for explaining, it makes much more sense now!
Hi sir, have you experience when trimming or extending clip using ripple edit tool, it says, " Trim block on video 1..." I've tried lost of remedy but still won't work. I've been struggling a lot. Do you have fixed solution for that? Thank you so much for the reply.:>
Hey Thanks for the Tutorials... I was wondering, it seems that everything you've done from the beginning episodes to this one is on the editing tab. Are there any difference between the editing tab and assembly tab specifically? I know that assembly is just assembling stuff and putting the project clips into the the timeline in order? But for the actual editing, the whole process is from project --> Source --> timeline --> to Program, whereas "Assembly " is just from Project --> Timeline? Did I get that right? Thanks Channing...
I'm not sure if this is the answer you speak of. I show 2 types of editing. One goes from the source monitor to the timeline. The other is putting all the footage from the project window into the timeline and editing them down (also called pancake editing). 1. Source Monitor Editing: ruclips.net/video/gv-d7nnVNdw/видео.html 2. Pancake Editing: ruclips.net/video/a5yvD3FqAKE/видео.html
Awesome yes! There is a distinction between the two! Got it. Now, can I do a "rough assembly" with these two methods? Or is that something else entirely? You did answer my question. Also, are there any situations where pancake is preferred over source monitor editing? Thanks.
Pancake is great for a scene with a ton of footage, like a fight scene. I find the other way the more traditional method and appropriate for most everything else.
Chinfat, can you tell me please what screen recorder you use. Is it Camtasia? I'm not sure you see cos I know you use a Mac. Let me know please. Thanks.
+Terry Oreilly I use OBS, or Open Broadcast Software. It's free and it works quite well. There are some work-arounds with using Mac to record desktop audio, but it records mic'd audio just fine.
I have Premiere Pro CC 2017 and why are there tools missing from my tool bar but some times when I go to select say the slip tool it will show the slip and slide tool alonge side the tool bar. So frustration some times it won't show the multiple selection WHY?
Thankyou it works with 2017 too. Sure wish Premiere Pro CC had an Index and help file like in CS3. Tuoght to get answers from the NET s a real PITA Tough to know how to use a tool when U don't even under stand the nomanclature For instance what a Rate Strech Toll even does. If you have the 2018 updates, they have changed it a bit. Hold down your mouse on some of the tools and it will expand more tools.
