It's not only the animations I miss but the fking sound design. They BUTCHERED the sounds of all spells, especially things like Ice Barrier, Ice Lance... it's sad

Looking a bit depressed at the new mage talents.. Dont get me wrong, lots look interresting and fresh. But really, if not adding Deepfreeze to the talent tree, they could atleast add it as a pvp talent only!
Every single dps caster in the game has multiple forms of CC + a stun Frost mage has to hardcast 1 school & has no stun while the specs pros is “slows” meanwhile every class has ways of removing them or still catching up to you anyways making it for one of the weakest & lowest represented dps casters in the game, deep would very much make it good again

Then there's poly & ring of frost, that you have to spec into, they share a dr, breaks on damage, must be hardcasted, & is (yet again) in your main school of magic. Rogues are getting even more cc. Most comps in retail are reliant on one class being a cc bot while the others do damage. That's not fun for anyone involved. In mop every class & spec had a great toolkit. 1v1s & 1vX situations were waaay more common across many specs. Every spec felt strong. These people whining cause they don't want deep freeze just sucked back in the day & want to gut the class out of some werid revenge, in the process ruining a decade of progress for many.

The best comps in Wrath are: LSP, TSG, ATC, and Dispelcleave. RMP can compete if extremely good, but the skill floor and ceiling is much higher than those comps. So no, mages are not broken with Deep Freeze.
I feel like this comment is implying mage is somehow broken in wrath because of deep freeze. they were actually getting trashed most of their games on beta when queueing ranked. these are just the highlights vs the PVE beta players and retail only andies
Mage vs mage 1 v 1 3 minutes of them casting spells and they still full health. Yep that's how u know a class is fkn broken . Pick any other class and do a 1v1 looks like a different game .
@@christtwitch4013 its because frost mages counter each others kit. both have spellsteal for barries. both have a kick. both can blink out of stun/root which negates so much damage because you actually need to be in deep freeze to do any actual damage.
@@DylanButler1 about what part lol? warmane or retail LK? Dont get me wrong it's GOOD on warmane, it was just even better in retail. Shadowmourne and pve gear on the shop allows rets and wars to global mages easier. I play a dk.
Can confirm, playing any non plate is a recipe to get globaled by a shadowmourne. Only on private servers will you face shadowmourne at fresh rating lol

I agree with ven only thing I want for mages in df is for all 3 specs to be viable and not super cookie cutter. I want unique builds to be fun again.
