Is it not true that the threat of tariffs influencing the dollar exchange to the upside, that will lessen demand from international buyers since they get less for the same amount of their own currency and the prospect of retaliatory tariffs will also increase the cost to end users which which lessen demand.
There are reports from China stating that their food prices are dropping by double digit percentages. It didn’t explain why, but it may be the relative weakness of the Brazilian and Argentine currencies.
Good morning Mackenzie & Joe ! Back in oldschool days President Ford was pressured into Embargo against Russia ,they said bread was going to be $5 a loaf ,President Carter in 80 Russia in Afghanistan .Oh we must not forget tractor convoys Feb 79 Y'all know they got alot of snow and the Farmers came to the rescue Congress didn't pass the bill to help farmers. Now we got Trumpster maybe we all go down to Mar-A-Lago soak up the sun
tarrifs will decrease export demand drastically, best program with tarrifs war will probably be increasing CRP acres and reinstating a set-aside progrm. Pay farmers to reduce supply to match domestic usage.

Good morning. Supply/demand is the issue. Great show as always
Supply (over supply) v. demand is the most important.

He's right
I asked this question a year ago. Why is anybody planting double crop soybeans.
Why not!
I guess you like making seed and spray companies richer while making commodity prices lower. I bet you use fungicides as well.
Good morning! What's a bigger deal for the soybean market - tariffs or supply/demand??
Supply/Demand
Same for the cotton problems.
Dollar strength doesn’t help either.
Short term tariff news. Longer term supply/demand.

Tariffs is a negotiating tool. I’m pretty sure the United States buys way more stuff from China than what Brazil has. Got to find out who holds what.
No, it does not, and the U.S not part of BRICS or ASEAN. The investment in Brazil is HUGE.
Good report
Will US manufacturing and jobs start to falter? What effect will that have on AG?
Will interest rates continue to go down, to chase from behind, the Jobs report.
not so much effect than tariffs, as most high cost imputs will be affected by tariffs
@@jaripukki267 Perhaps the exporter will need to lower the price?

I listen to a advisor to Reagon he said tariffs will warm the economy because they tried it in the 80s.
