CGB has stepped up his comedic abilities. The discarding of the Smite to draw a Smite and then taking a look to make sure he didn’t draw the same one had me rolling.
Haah I think MonoRed CGB is a totally different cgb, maybe it's the history he has with Red, but it's a diff person entirely lol. Love that he's enjoying himself
I love your outros, CGB! I enjoy hearing your retrospective on the deck and also just a little bit of what you've been doing outside of the arena. Keep slaying ❤
Yeah, the second half of Pyre of the World Tree says _whenever_ you discard a land card. Doesn't matter the context of the discard, Pyre will still exile cards for you.
I have been wondering why Ossification was an enchant land card since it was printed, and only in game three here that I realized that it was so it would trigger Aura synergies.
It’s a downside that we’ve seen used before with chain to the rocks and on thin ice where it is both a deck building requirement and it is more vulnerable as it goes away if the land goes away though as we’ve seen with those cards as well they end up just being very strong removal spells that also have hidden synergy and have downsides that are often made trivial in certain decks
I just won a game against Naya tokens with this deck. Through 2 Mondrak, a full power White Sun’s Twilight, and the kitchen sink….and they never even hit me once. Koth emblem plus Koth plus pyre tree plus Chandra plus overflowing hand of mountains and double burn. Red control…I love how you are a thing ❤. Thanks so much CGB 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Such broken nonsense 😂.
Been obsessively playing this deck for the last day. Win rate only around 50% on B01 Diamond, but I don't care because this deck really is that much fun. I survived 4 turns at 1 life against mono-red aggro because I kept sniping their hasty threats by discarding lands. Then drew into Chandra and flashbacked Light up the Night for the win.
I've been liking Sunstreak Phoenix over Bloodfeather, for adding a recursive threat. It passively recurs itself, and can be a good blocker. Works better with discard effects, to avoid hardcasting it, which also boosts the Invasion when discarding lands.
Id love to see this in Gruul. Using green to land ramp so that your invasion of Kaldheim hits more cards and you have more mana to play the exiled cards on the next turn. Would be interesting to see gruul used for something non-aggro
I feel like Koth and invasion of khaldheim are auto includes for creatureless burn decks on account of how much land I end up getting in the late game. I play arcane bombardment that uses a bunch of mana rocks, and it's always a tragedy to miss land drops early and get flooded late, despite having a sufficient number of lands. Khaldheim at least would be worth the deck.
Why don't you exiled Koth in second match? You may play the exiled card until end of turn, so you could just activate Koth after resolving and play another one
"There's the Sunfall. That"s why we didn't want to transform our invasion." Can someone explain this to me? Why is transformed invasion bad after Sunfall?
On paper this looks seriously fun, but I've played about 20 games now and maybe won 1. You get overrun super quickly, especially against poison decks it's completely useless. Maybe I'm playing it wrong but I can't see how this deck is any good :(. I did have great fun in watching you play (and win), though so good content anyway!
As a five mana do nothing card, it's kinda just a win more. It doesn't impact the board when it comes out and if you're already at a state where you're slamming invasions and walkers then you're already winning. You just can't give aggro decks that extra time. It's the same reason why mechanized warfare isn't in. (It would be really cool to have anyways though, that card is dope)

Fr 😂😂😂
"I don't like setting people's dogs on fire, I really don't. They just get another one, and now they've got a grudge. They go John Wick on me" 🤣🤣🤣
ooo😊
Ooo
😊😊o
Such a great time to see CGB having fun in standard. Even if it's mono red.
This was a fun video!
Haah I think MonoRed CGB is a totally different cgb, maybe it's the history he has with Red, but it's a diff person entirely lol. Love that he's enjoying himself
Of course CGB makes Mono Red a control deck lmao
First time I see a mono red deck that is fun and far from the usual no-brain mono red decks. Good job and thanks for sharing, CGB.
Oh shit, time to add Sokenzan to the list. (If it's not there, I didn't see it at least)
Ahhh i was hurting within lookin at that
Well duh. It says it on the card lol
I absolutely love seeing decks like these. This is the stuff I’m subscribed for. Keep up the awesome content, CGB!
thats 100% a red deck i respect. nice to see mono red control instead of aggro all the time
This is one of the most bizarre, creative decks I have seen. Super entertaining!
Incredible matches and deckbuilding, well done!
This is possibly one of my most favourite Red decks ever! BURN BABY BURN!
Covert Go Red showed some pyromaniac joy... great content 💙💙
FINALLY a standard deck I want to play on your channel, its been a WHILE. thanks!
If only those black decks had a card to deal with koth and the pyre while also drawing at the same time...
😂
32:38 i felt that 😂
BIG RED!!!!! What a great burn combo! Sick deck dude!
I have been wondering why Ossification was an enchant land card since it was printed, and only in game three here that I realized that it was so it would trigger Aura synergies.
It's also a deck-building requirement, forcing you to have enough basics in your deck to make it castable when you want it available.
"Did you have fun this match?" Every time, it's comedy.
42:20 CGB loves mono red, Invade Kaldheim till their dead
Koth and Pyre of the World Tree out here proving why Mountains are the best basic land.
Yusss i love the big red decks, big red ugin splashing extinction events was one of my favs. Stoked to try this one out
I love all the times cgb turns a mono red deck into a control deck!
I just won a game against Naya tokens with this deck. Through 2 Mondrak, a full power White Sun’s Twilight, and the kitchen sink….and they never even hit me once. I recently just finished my Solphim planeswalker commander deck. It's awesome seeing you play the standard version of it the very next day!
I would think Invasion of Kaldheim and Titania could be a thing.
Was so satisfying seeing the enchantment deck get stomped by Koth’s ultimate
Been obsessively playing this deck for the last day. Win rate only around 50% on B01 Diamond, but I don't care because this deck really is that much fun.
I survived 4 turns at 1 life against mono-red aggro because I kept sniping their hasty threats by discarding lands. Then drew into Chandra and flashbacked Light up the Night for the win.
hah i bet that match against mono-red aggro was like Big Bro fighting Lil Bro xD
Thanks for the deck CGB! I love big red style decks.
Wow, this is literally cool fresh monored ! Besides jokes
Land‘s Edge reloaded. Ah the nostalgia. Land‘s Edge/Land Tax was a blast.
I love the life catch up at the end of the episode ❤ Thank you for all you do CGB
Whenever I see a cool deck from CGB I get mad at myself for not thinking of it first.
You could put a couple mechanized warfares in there and hit for 3 every time!
I gotta recognise I liked this kind of red, so much interaction
CGB: I've never wanted to draw a land so bad.
Arena: I got this!
Good to see a mono non major haste red deck 😁
Interesting. Mono red with style 😎 I like it
I've been liking Sunstreak Phoenix over Bloodfeather, for adding a recursive threat.
It passively recurs itself, and can be a good blocker. Works better with discard effects, to avoid hardcasting it, which also boosts the Invasion when discarding lands.
Now this is a red i can support!
Id love to see this in Gruul.
Using green to land ramp so that your invasion of Kaldheim hits more cards and you have more mana to play the exiled cards on the next turn.
Would be interesting to see gruul used for something non-aggro
"On the draw. We will burn the opponents things. Lets see what happens"
You said you were happy about flooding, so the shuffler took it personally and decided to punish you with a screw instead lmao
Given that pyre is when you discard a land, feels like you should run at least 1 channel land. 2 haste ¹/¹ and exile a card seems nice.
I was just saying to my brother I might play mono red only if it wasn’t the quick “two-land, no-brain burn” BS. love to see it!
That cylxa game ended just muah 👌 perfecto.
1:51
Thank you Koth for drawing Mountains from the deck
7:08 is my entire experience with this game. I can’t stop laughing.
I am definitely going to try this deck.
Reading the card explains the card
Yes!!!! This deck is too much fun!!
Stomper Invasion is the new Harvester Fable lol
It seems like MOM was way more impactful than ONE for standard.
Lol no. Banning the Rakdos/Grixis power cards did it.
Such an awesome deck, if i had wildcards to waste on red cards I would definitely take for a spin.
Fun deck im definitively crafting this!
That was a nice one 👍🏼
Love your content!!! Even when playing red 😂
Now I want mix in some green for Shegeki fun. 😊
big Koth energy
Great content! Keep it up!
Great deck!
Ok, I know by now our musical knowledge intersects by quite a bit but I can't say you knowing 80's Chaka Khan would've been part of that!
The matchmaker really hates this deck. I played 4 games and ran into a phyrexian obliterator or vindicator in each game. Deck is fun otherwise.
the shuffler's fine
I DIED laughing at 23:44 omfg.....
Very cool deck, keep up the content!
For the longest i was like CGB just flip the other Battle so you can Diggg moreeee
That was fun : D
Why am I just know finding out about covertgolive?!
Why don't you exiled Koth in second match? You may play the exiled card until end of turn, so you could just activate Koth after resolving and play another one
Still mad that Siegie Bee made a mono red deck for the great special last year 💔
the only mono red ill play
Cgb loves mono red
I love it! The only reason I'm not trying is the stupid obliterator and his vindicator friend... seriously where was the need of a reprint?
Does the Mightstone and Weakstone kill the Vindicator? Even if it does it's still a problem if they have wedding announcement flipped...
Ah yes monored your favorite deck
How did this deck do? Would you recommend for mythic push?
Thx
in the decklist we dont have saga
this deck is sweeeeeeeeeet
Cgb praetor deck 🤗
This is going to be amazing until people start running Destroy Evil again
Standart is so bad that it hurts lol
I'am trying to build a sideboard to play this on bo3, do you have any idea? i find it hard to sideboard a mono red
Lithomantic Barrage
Recursive threats against control, like Sunstreak or Bloodfeather Phoenix. Urabrask's Forge is great.
Rending Flame for Sheoldred.
"There's the Sunfall. That"s why we didn't want to transform our invasion." Can someone explain this to me? Why is transformed invasion bad after Sunfall?
i think he got confused with farwell and simply missspoke
brain fart
CovertGoRed
Koth Brawl when!
ObvsGoRed!
Big red without Etali…?
cgb play mono red =)
On paper this looks seriously fun, but I've played about 20 games now and maybe won 1. You get overrun super quickly, especially against poison decks it's completely useless. Maybe I'm playing it wrong but I can't see how this deck is any good :(. I did have great fun in watching you play (and win), though so good content anyway!
Chaka Khan doesn't approve 😅.
How u winning built it can't win
why would you not run all will be one? because it triggers off Battles as well.
There's no such thing as win more card, just a win faster card
22:57 is this a bug or a feature? Hahaha.
This has to be one of the worst decks. Can’t win with it.
First!
Save your wildcards. This deck ain't it
Horrible, horrible deck.
This is mono red, they play mono red, mono red every day!
This is mono red, they play mono red, attacking gace until their dead!
🦧
this deck seems very fun
