Another superlative segment proving once again why you guys are my absolute favorite adventure touring motorcycle vloggers of all of RUclips! You take the time to learn something about the area where you're traveling, and are quite generous in sharing that history and knowledge with the rest of us. Thanks so much, and I never miss an episode!
Brilliant. Cuenca is lovely - we had Christmas 2023 there and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though we got stiffed by a certain bike shop there during an oil change. 😅 Thanks for bringing back great memories!
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets Ha, took the bike with the blue and white circular logo (no names...) to the franchised dealer for oil only. First I had to stop them putting 5/40 oil a 27 year old bike, then the workshop manager came out clutching an airfilter that looked about a million years old. Oh senor, look at this, but luckily for you we have this much nicer one out of a customer's bike, but you must pay cash. $50 to buy my own air filter, cheeky sods, but there was nothing I could do. The coffee was good though! Still love Cuenca and Ecuador.
@Reggie3cl oh man... that sucks! Had the Honda dealer in Cuenca do a bunch of work on the Africa Twin on my ride south in 2019 without a hitch. Maybe, since I was riding a Honda, they figured I didn't have any cash... 😅
You two never fail to deliver. Every video is better than the last. The fact that your channel is so underrated is a crime! Thank you for letting us see the world through your eyes.
Truly awesome to view the routes my friends and I travel every other weekend... but from YOUR perspective. Thanks for all the great comments for my Fathers Town of Cuenca. It´s been my home for half my life... and I wouldn´t change it for anywhere else!
You've got some great riding in your backyard. I can only imagine what the trails up into the mountains must be like!! Cuenca (and all of Ecuador, for that matter) is beautiful. Hopefully we did it justice! 💚
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets We dirt biked those trails way back in the early 80´s.... Crazy times... no gear, not a care in the world... rubber boots, old jeans and a baseball cap. (Goggles and gloves? yeah right!!)
Honestly, guys, you could make every episodes a full feature film, and I’d still be glued to the screen. Breathtaking stuff! Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks so much. I've thought about doing "THE MOVIE" that all the cool kids are doing these days, but we've got our hands full as it is, so the episodes will have to do for now...
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada and did a lot of sport touring in that part of the world. Your touring videos are the highest quality and did justice to my new home.
Thanks for riding along with us. The editing is a group effort. Rose does all the rough edits and narration. Chad writes the script and does the final editing... 💪
Well another awesome video guys, so very much to explore and see there, seems like the country that keeps on giving and giving, how about that tunnel, wonder what the reason for that was about, ok guys, hang in there, never grow tired of your awesome travels. Rob down in Ala.
I wish I knew what that tunnel was about. It was just a perfect horseshoe bored into the mountain. It didn't seem to bypass anything... I'm sure it was a hell of a lot of work!!!
Can't believe you have so few followers. The quality of your channel is top notch. Thank you both for all the time and effort you put into the content.
What an epic episode!!! Rose your narration is so joyful and pleasant!!! The landscapes are amazing!!! Hope Chad's foot going better... Keep up like this!!! 🤘👌💯
Bravo, bravo (thunderous applause in the background). That was a really interestinting vid to watch as it touched on so many different aspects of your touring. I think it maybe the best one ever or certainly the best one......this year.
Awesome video Rose & Chad! 👍🏻 I like the aux. lights you added, I think a good investment. Just a kind note, when getting a needle in the butt or any muscle, don’t tighten the muscle, can make it more painful. I rode around there a few years ago, you are bringing back great memories, I too stayed in Macas. It poured rain a lot of the time, I remember many waterfalls going under the roads, even got rained on in tunnels via leaks in overhead. You both are adventurous going down that dark lonely tunnel, nice! If you have time, Baños NE of Riobamba is nice town, a huge swing out over the mountain looking down on the town way below was exhilarating. Buen viaje mis amigos.
Hey you guys! I'm loving your channel! Living vicariously through it. I ride a 2017 BMW R1200GS Rallye and have been using the Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires. I did 620 miles of the NMBDR, mud, sand, gravel and rock. They are great on pavement, too. They performed great! I also got over 11K out of the rear tire. You should see if you can get some. They would be perfect for your type of riding. Y'all be safe!
As always...well worth the entrance fee !!!! OMG ... those first few minutes , and all that rain ..I was thinking have they come to Scotland for some winter riding ...but alas ...the sun came out...lol Your week stop off... lovely wee town , and those markets are great ...fresh meat , fruits...and free of all the plastic packaging here in the western world. Flying blind...could not see a thing !!! That must have been reassuring for Rosie...😊😊 Take care .......and hopefully foot injury is improving ?
Thanks for watching and the kind words!! Yeah, the street / central markets are great. Fresh food from the source!! And yes, the foot is doing much better - thank you!! 💪
Why do you have to shout to each other with your "cardo" units? I never understood the injections in the bum because of the large muscle mass. I used to give myself super B 12 injections in my shoulder muscles and mostly in my biceps on both arms with a really long needle and a few times in my trapezius muscles along side my neck. What a rush from the Methylcobalamin super B 12. had me bouncing off of the walls in minutes with chronic fatigue. 😁 You never finished telling us about chad's foot. does he need surgery or amputate it??? 😁thanks
We used to get B12 shots too, but always in the bum. Rose refuses to turn her Cardo unit on (probably to avoid hearing me sing) so we just shout at each other instead. I only use my unit to listen to music and the soothing sounds of Google Maps... 😀
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you forgot about your foot. I tried a cardo and one other unit, but none of them are stand alone units and only work with a smart phone or iphone. and I only have a dumb phone flip phone. I returned them. they don't work. thanks.
I don´t want to bore you, but, I believe it is essential to say some words about your condition. You´re wasring time about the investigation of the cause of the paralisis. As I said before, a common cause is the Hansen`s disease, in many countries known as leprae. The treatment is done, generally, with medication, minimum one year, depending of the type, L. tuberculosis or L. lepromatosis, the last one, two years. A exam called Eletroneuromiography can inform if the fibularis nerve has possibility to recover or not. If not, maybe you´ll need a tibialis posterior tendon transfer to the dorsum of the foot and a tenodesis for the great toe. Believe me, it´s a wonderful surgery for the one who does it, but, you know, you´re the patient. Find an orthopaedic surgeon urgently. that´s what I suggest you! Get well and bring us more and more amazing videos!
I appreciate you taking the time to respond and share your thoughts. Luckily, the medications the doctor provided did the trick. OUr videos aren't uploaded in real time, and it's been many months now since my condition has been resolved and I have full use & function of my foot again!
