Thrower and Moray (aka Thunderbolt, with lower rear fenders) are actually 2 different cars in Mafia DE, the former is so far available only via mods, or there's another super secret way to get it.
The cars were better done in the original. They looked more like the cars they were based on. I bought and restored a Cadillac V16 after playing the original game. In the new one they seem like an afterthought. The hearse is the most egregious example.
What do you mean? The hearse looks pretty 1 to 1 to me, it's meant to be a model T hearse and I would dare say the DE edition makes it look even closer to a model T hearse than the the original one
I hate that they didn't include displacement or engine type in the car description it was always funny to see something like a 12 lLiter v16 that somehow only makes 160hp
People harping on Mafia: DE's vehicle handling, but I say it is by far some of the most realistic yet fun and engaging of any game I've ever played. The sense of _speed,_ the feeling of *total control!,* _but just barely._ I love it!
if you do, just know that classic is extremely difficult (ESPECIALLY with the damn race mission) and also on the mission “happy birthday, do NOT quit the game or restart from the last eat checkpoint before you drive to your objective. there’s a nasty glitch where you can get stuck and can’t move. the only way to fix it is by restarting the game.

My favourite car? Black Metal 4WD. LITERALLY bulletproof. Back in 2002/03 I have spent countless hours destroying gangster cars and roadblocks :-) As long as you in the car they can't do nothing to you. Collision with a "Bolt Ace" - Ford T also looks funny. One good hit and it falls apart, starts smoking and explodes. From the regular vehicles [not Free Ride Extreme] - definitely Lassiter sedan. It's fast, heavy - not that easy to destroy, good handling. Morello car only looks cool but it's actually nothing special.

Taxis from 1930 have a radio and during chases we hear police radios like in the GTA. Running away through road works to lose your pursuit? Really? In these cars from the 1930s on spoked wheels? The game definitely lacks realism. And the most stupid thing. After Paulie's death, it is Tommy who proposes a meeting at the gallery, he gets there in three minutes. Sam is already waiting with his army. It makes no sense. In the Original, it was Sam who waited already prepared in the gallery and ordered Tommy to come.

I liked the original mutagem more and I think they could have kept jet engines in the flame spear although I’m pretty sure there were no jet engines in the 1930s, but maybe who made this car is the same time traveler that has the Thunderbird.
Flamespear looks like a prototype for a 1930s batmobile engine test, idk, i like it but also wtf rockets didnt even exist until the 1950s i think thats when they were invented was by the Germans during world war 2 and then they got adapted more into the 1960s and mainstream usaged in the late 70s and 80s especially

Idek why they let l.e.d. lights on the road without testing brightness and enforcement of level allowances. Yet its illegal to shine the same led lights backwards towards your light aggressor. It completely ruined night driving. Completely ruined it.
I think they did that so the player can more freely drive around without having to stop for traffic since the roads are smaller compared to the original.
