I love how you didn’t try to demonize these beautiful animals by putting scary music over the footage instead just appreciating their beauty and presence
It's a documented fact that a large percentage of our audience are adult scuba divers and regular adults who like underwater stuff, so don't be shy....you are still allowed to watch when you are all grown up! :-)
I love how reflective the surface is from underwater. It takes what are already some pretty great shots and has them take on a sort of weird, surreal art quality.
It always puts a smile on my face to see these folks having so much fun while showcasing so many unique wonders. Edit: WHAT?! My goodness, this was a crazy video!!
Hey Johnathan, have you worked on going to the adventure aquarium yet. Because, that hammerhead I told you about…passed away. I’m very sad that the hammerhead died. He was my favorite animal in the aquarium and we don’t know how he died.
I do hope the Adventure Aquarium will bring a new hammerhead to the Ocean Realm exhibit. I can’t go to the adventure aquarium without a great hammerhead in here.
I was listening to a guided meditation recently, where I was told to imagine a coral reef. And due to binging your videos for a week, I was like "oh, I can do that for sure" 😂 Super excited for the new episode!
Jon, by comparison to their African (Nile) and Australian (Salty) cousins the American Alligator and American Croc can be relatively safe to swim with in a contained environment though you had the right idea giving this beast his space!
" i don't have to swim faster than the croc, just faster than Todd" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA is Noah still with the BlueWorld team? hope to see him one day do some diving too ☺
For a first-time encounter, you kept remarkably cool around that croc. Most of your videos make me dream of having your job, but I would have been terrified of doing this one!
You are a really brave person to film a crocodile underwater. This is one of the best video in the Blue World TV channel, congratulations. Be safe all times! This big reptile is horrifying!
Absolutely amazing footage gentleman. You have done wonderful work showing these beautiful reptiles are not unpredictable killers. Well done. So proud to support your work in “The Blue World”.
Amazing and respectful footage of this scary animal. Also loved the Howard Hall reference :)! Obviously, the croc understood he was filmed by the great Birdman, so he was not afraid of being harassed.
Hey Johnathan! Don't know if you'll ever read this but I just really want to say thank you for everything. Your videos got me through some of my darkest days, really showed me that there is a world out there worth living for. I will forever be grateful for you and your content. :)
I used to watch you when I was in kindergarten after searching up my friends name "Jonathan" and I am in 8th grade now. Still don't know how Jonathan is doing as I haven't seen him since kindergarten. Good to know you're still posting videos!
Ngl Jonathan that was really scary. Are crocodiles more aggressive than sharks? Because I think they are more aggressive to dive with, but this one seemed docile.
Gosh they are such gorgeous animals. Thank you for your bravery to get into the water with him. You got some real stunning footage. I love how he just kinda sinks a bit when he wants to take a look at you
The amount of dedication y'all have is just so impressive, and I'm thankful for it because y'all get some of the most amazing videos I've ever had the pleasure of seeing
I've been loving this channel, I recently discovered it. I've been diving since '95 but took a ten-year break and now just getting back into it. This channel helps to fuel my excitement.
Wow, just wow. I remember some years ago I would watch this channel day and night, this is the first video I’ve seen from you guys in a long time and am really happy for it to have been this one. I am a resident of the area and love casa cenote, especially because it was the location for my controlled water dives during my basic open water certification. The place is BEAUTIFUL and I remember always looking into the mangroves trying to find the croc. At that time there was a really large one, but I never got to see it. But I guess I now kind of did, thanks to your video haha. Amazing footage and crazy how you could be in the water for so long. Patience in fact does pay off 😂
I couldn't stop thinking, "poke it with a stick!" 🤣 Looks like it needs to work on its trim. You guys didn't seem too worried about the crock that was behind you! 😵 Nice video!
Great footage. It’s so interesting how they splay their fingers and toes when they stop swimming and hover. It’s actually really cute. Anyone know why they do that?
You guys are very brave to stay in the water with one of the greatest dino-apexes in the world! Any insights as to why the croc would stay lonely in that pool of water?
🐊wonderful video footage and wildlife coverage of such areas left remysterious. the water seems clear and area clean natural, thanks to those people of that communion. those underwater lights did make the images seem-more-surreal>>>> # #. # #. imagine spending a night in the water without lights....crocadoodle-do! thank you jonathan bird and friends!
I am always so excited when I see a new video from BlueWorld. And this one was particularly interesting. I do wonder, though, why is it that the crocodile never attacks? I don't know a lot about them, but I always thought they were very vicious. Thank you for another great video. ❤❤❤
I last watched one of your videos about 8-9 years ago (I was 9 or 10 at the time). Since then, I have become interested in all things motorsports (I know zoology and V8s don't go well together), but I am still somewhat fascinated by marine life, not to mention my facorite color (by a long shot) is blue and I still love visiting aquaruiums. Watching your videos was a large part of my interest in marine biology then. I'm so glad I rediscovered your channel! It brings back so much nostalgia 😂
There js a video on RUclips from a scuba diver who prepared a dive suit for the specific purpose i.e. to get up close with salt water crocodile. It actually supresses the electro magnetic waves emitted from the human body underwater because it could be easily sensed by the crocodile and also sharks. Surprisingly it worked really well.
Let's be honest, they dont look all that scary when their legs are spread apart like that- heck they look kinda funny- However, we should always respect these magnificent predators and appreciate them from a safe distance-
I don't suppose you know what makes that possible/challenging? I've never really thought a ton about fresh vs saltwater living for vertebrates with lungs but I'd assume it'd be easier if you get your oxygen from the air rather than the water. I guess its because if you live in it you kinda wind up drinking it?
Like the Bull Shark@@BlueWorldTV Crocodiles have special glands located in their tongues that can get rid of excess salt. although most species of crocodiles live in freshwater enviroments except for American and Saltwater Crocodiles
I used to live near Wakulla Springs in Florida. I remember reading in the local news where a SCUBA diver snuck into the park at night, then cut the fencing from the park swimming section to access the river. Apparently he wanted to see alligators swimming underwater at night. The next day during one of the glass bottom boat tours, bits of his remains were discovered strewn about the bottom of the river.
Oh my gosh! This is so incredible! I can't believe you actually dove with a crocodile, Jonathan! You're so courageous! At first I thought it was a Saltwater Crocodile, but once I saw the location of where you are, the American Crocodile was my second thought because Saltwater Crocodiles come from Indonesia and parts of Australia. Still, it was really cool. I never knew crocs were such graceful swimmers. I think this is even more epic then the time you went diving with Bull Sharks. Keep it up, Jonathan! I can't wait to see what your next adventure will be. Maybe someday you'll go diving with Orcas.🐊👍

Not sure though what the croc thinks about divers. They look really dangerous with all their lights!
@@fluchschule it's definitely a "it's more scared of you, than you are of it" kind of situation
Honestly it never felt scary. Croc was going about its business and we were filming. I was not turning off the lights though!
Glad you appreciate what I did with the music on this one. Too easy to just go with scary music. Moire interesting with it having character!
This is the best crocodile footage I've ever seen.
We pride ourselves on good footage!
Agreed. They swim so elegantly 🐊

Absolutely wild/beautiful footage. Seeing a Gator swimming in its natural environment is beyond something you don't see often compared to Sharks etc,
Seems a lot scarier than a shark! There's something about snakes / crocs / alligators that scares me more than any other animal.
It always puts a smile on my face to see these folks having so much fun while showcasing so many unique wonders.

Crocs actually prefer saltwater. They are usually found in at least brackish water. This one is a rarity to be in water that was hardly salty.
