I'm sad that Flutter didn't deserve a reasonable presentation time. It was only mentioned. The only thing that was great for me, was that all people present in the hall cheered when Flutter was mentioned

I suggest Google simplifies its mobile app development by focusing entirely on Flutter/Dart, mirroring how Apple leverage Swift/SwiftUI for a more streamlined approach.
Or by focusing on Kotlin Multiplatform? This is my personal opinion, but I like it better than Flutter & Dart.

What the Gemma is going on. Google is betting everything on AI but it's just not ready. We're going to live in a bland, AI generated world... Google search results already show us what AI content writing does to the world (i.e. Google search results suck these days). AI app development is going to mean a bunch of low quality apps will be flooding the already saturated app market...

@@Y2Kvids Exactly! You got the point! Why should Google stop it's own (and perfect) cross platform framework to instead use one from another company ?!
@@Apenschi It is already invested in Android which is Kotlin and since that is also improving to become multiplatform , it makes sense it would like to keep Android Devs that will now work to make Google based apps(google ads, Firebase) for Apple and Web .

I have no problem with kotlin itself, but it always crash when I create apps with android studio, when I test them in cell phones. The same error never happens with java with the same android studio.

People complaining about the whole developer con being about AI/Gemini are like people who complain about the Kentucky Derby being about horse racing. Y'all thought it was about what instead? Ladies in ornate hats? Google = Gemini. They realized that their main product - the old school search - is dying and they were caught with their pants down by all the new players in the LLM game who are making big money on Google's own invention - the mighty Transformer. It was like them inventing PageRank and then not productizing it well enough fast enough and seeing Bing and Yahoo replicate PageRank and take over the space of internet search before them. Goes to show no one has the formula for trapping lightning in a bottle.
