This channel is fast becoming the top tennis Chanel on RUclips. The subtitles make me concentrate and these guys avoid the irritating self promotion and smiley banter that most think is required.
I often see Go Sodea name on the draw of the professional tournaments but this is the first time seeing his real look and playing style, what a solid player from the baseline.
Я как любитель в теннисе с 20+ летним стажем получил невероятное удовольствие от просмотра! Спасибо автору! Вот так сыграть с игроком из первой 100 это невероятно. Соеда, как мне кажется играл не в полную силу, особенно подача)
A great channel with quality content, well done to the whole team! If you're open to ideas, it'd be great to see a video with Takao's backhand slice...particularly any tips for getting consistent depth while being on the defence (esp buying time to prepare for the offence!). Many thanks, keep it up 💪
I am born in India and live in USA. I love how Japanese culture is similar to how I was raised. Very respectful and polite to fellow mankind. I love tennis. I wish I could move to Japan and train here in this academy.
The new setups of poly strings and 10 grams lighter frames allow pros to make better returns and passing shots thus extinction of serve-and-volley players. To compensate, try this match up on faster surface like grass or indoor carpet.
absolutely right. Imagine trying to serve and volley against Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, with all these advancements! Simply unsustainable strategy for a full match.
Have idea for new video by mr. Takao about his serve, how did he find the range to toss and step without making foot fault! I have issue with it and start serve the exact same way as mr. Takao, but still manage to foot fault on my step...
Predictable slice against good player is not a good strategy since the opponent would dictate the point. Gotta mixing up with some one handed backhand. Amazing match! The speed of the game is unbelievable.
fast carpet SuzukiSan would have been better for his game or S&V these modern Hardcourts the ball stays in a pocket area to be hit by the baseliner with ease. That is what Agassi said about modern Hard Courts with slowed down balls and court grade.
Serve and volley is hard to make a living in todays pro game. The only way S+V can make a come back is ATP forces everyone to play with small wood racquets again. Todays racquet and string technology is too fast and powerful.

Don’t get ahead of yourself now. This was great content nonetheless
Agreed. Just wish it was in english. Reading the cc becomes a bit tiring.
@@bmanbusee3812 Who else, really?
@@DanTuber i think the poorly translated subtitles are charming. "This is so throbbing 😂". So classic.
Essential tennis
That 7-2 point! Amazing. Love the enthusiasm from both players.

I remember that Suzuki had an amazing match against Roger Federer in the Australian Open years ago, it had some really high quality tennis
@TvRF Japan Open. It's on youtube
The Level of Play in this vid is phenomenal!. I especially enjoy the thoughts/ strategies they talk about all through the match.
Brilliant session! The modern pro made it look so easy with zero mental doubt!
This channel is no.1 in Japan and much more viewers from overseas....greetings from マレーシア
6:45 Federer would be proud of that shot

Amazing stuff! More of this! Thanks for English subtitles !

I am interested on that slice as well. Its like water
Great video. Would have loved to see a set match.
It would be interesting to see how many nice things they could say for a full set!

This channel with English subtitles, thanks so much.
This is my top 3 tennis channel now, its so much more indept than your usual "How to hit like Federer or How to this and that".

Great tennis! Very fun to watch this one.
Great match. Thank you for this excellent class in class.
Takao san, your serve and volley play style is the best!
Have idea for new video by mr. Takao about his serve, how did he find the range to toss and step without making foot fault! I have issue with it and start serve the exact same way as mr. Takao, but still manage to foot fault on my step...
Fun to watch, and very exuberant!!!
Takao could beat him but would have to relax mentally and lose tension at the prospect of his status
Great play and a great channel
thanks for subtitle
fans from korea
kanbare!
Try playing padel!!! It would be awesome! Serve and volley
I had watched Mr.Soeda played in Winnipeg, Canada. He plays amazing tennis !
Soeda did really well here because the star tennis team was used to the fast surface. Other pros like Nishioka and Taro couldn't beat Takao
6:16 "Can you give me 5 points?" >.< haha!
Love watching suzuki senpai/san? play!
add on..... This Star youtube I am watching and studying moe and more. Friendly staff and great explanation. I am from Kumamoto by the way,
Fantastic channel!
Thanks for subtitle, i'm from indonesia.
the subscribe lady had me laughing!! hahaha but in all seriousness, nice video!
Well, I just subscribed to this channel 70% because of her, so they (she) know what they're doing 😁
Really interesting; thanks!
sugoi desu ne ..from Argentina cheers!! :))
This is 100x better than anime
Great match. Why does Takao block so many backhands instead of more aggressive topspin?
Good quality tennis content.
Beauty match

Japanese respectand humility love it
Mr. Serve & Volley just needed a few more points to settle into the game.
it is like Old School vs Modern Match. If Suzuki made his backhand stroke more aggressive, it could be more fun.lol

Onoda Pro vs Soeda next session
Where’s Nishikori??
What Yonex racket is Mr.Soeda using? In Japanese or English is okay.
Looks like the Yonex VCORE 98 Limited
What's your tension?

Suzuki Samarai!
nice points guys ;-)
Finematch
imagine if they got Feli Lopez on here 🐱👤
Who is the 36 year old player???
Takao Suzuki was just too nervous for this match. I think he can beat Go Soeda
Before i look what ranking go soeda really has, im sure hes noway nr 47, not even top 100.
Ok he WAS nr 47.
Japan's current top player is not Go Soeda...
Isn’t it like nishioka?
The "subscribe princess" is so cute !
But sorry, i didn't subscribe, i don't know why RUclips tought i'm still interested in tennis.
Isn't Nishikori Japan's top player?
He was. Right now he's ranked 54 in the ATP Rankings. Just checked I was surprised as well.
He is. Soeda is currently 188th on the ATP. The title is misleading. Even Nishioka is higher.
japanese tend to explain atp ranker as top player.
A top player is not = the top player, they didn't say #1 : )
Let me guess.... loser commits HARI KARI!!! COULD BE WILD
Go Soda sponsored by Coca Cola
Rushing to the net was a bad move.
it's not that simple. suzuki is a serve-and-volley specialist, and trying to rally with someone faster and more consistent is foolhardy anyway
@@weixiangwong2227 well he's outplayed either way.
Takao Suzuki technique of rushing towards the net is very immature he lost all points bcz of that v unprofessional
Not unprofessional, he was a pro. If that's your style and you are outplayed you lose. No shame in that.
