Darwin, I am a new mom with a toddler and a 1 y/o stuck at home in a city. When I watch your videos I feel stress and exhaustion rolling off my back. I honestly feel lighter and happier thanks to these SHORT (too short) clips. The fact that you're sharing with us your AWESOME adventures means a lot. Thank you so much. We're planning a little trip to the mountains this May, so fingers crossed the kids don't go crazy and we'll actually enjoy it as we used to. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Poland, Joanna
That's got to be a cool feeling - running to hikers on trail who you've helped with recommendations. We appreciate what you do and maybe don't say it enough, brother. Thanks for all you do!
and there you were! right at molino basin! it is beautiful back in there between the rincons & catalinas...well all that area. good to hear you & neemor caught back up & had r& r in the old pueblo. you both inspire me & thank you for sharing your passion 🌵🌿🌻🌲hike on!
Thank you for what you do. I’ve enjoyed your videos so much, and been inspired, as well as educated, to get out on the trail. Blessings dude. You are very much appreciated.
Sabino Canyon! Last time I was there in 2007-ish there had been a fire and the water was dark mucky brown, ugh! Looks beautiful now. One of my favorite places.
I love this episode! I lived in Tucson for 3 years and Mount Lemon and Summerhaven were the places to be every weekend. 115 down in Tucson but at least 20-30 degrees cooler up there. I miss the beauty of that area. Tucson and Arizona will always have a special place in my heart and I'm excited to someday hike the AZT. Thanks!!
Wow, being an Eastern boy I never would have thought of trudging through snow in AZ this time of year. Such vast and varied terrain. Thanks for taking us along.
Beautiful. Love the desert. Back in the '60's my chemistry teacher would take us down to the Mojave to camp for a week. Under appreciated by most. Thank you Darwin.
Quite a telling moment when the group passes Darwin at around 1:00, laden with hefty shoulder luggage - then we see Darwin trot off with what looks to me like a daypack 😁.
Usually AT videos trump any sub notification, but not when the notification is Darwin. I was literally watching one of the AT hikers I'm following this year when I saw this upload and said I'll watch the AT later...
I love Sabine Canyon and all the area around Tucson. I ride the El Tour de Tucson in the fall, a 109 mile bicycle charity ride around the perimeter of Tucson! Hard to beat the beauty!
Love the Rincons, love the Catalinas! Hope you're keeping all the prickly/pokey thingies and snow out of your shoes and sockies without any gaiters. :-)
Two thumbs up for right now I am at work I will be watching this later on right now have yourself a wonderful night and by the time you read this it'll be morning so have yourself a good cup of coffee
Really enjoying these videos - well done - great mix of commentary, scenery, observations - good idea to introduce the you tube crowd to a trail other than the big 3
Something that I have observed and taken note of recently is that everyone in the desert is carrying a Thermarest foam pad. Being an inflatable guy, I thought this was silly extra weight to carry until I popped my brand new Neoair Uberlite over this past weekend. It was an uncomfortable couple of nights. Seeing the intro with that line of people all carrying the ubiquitous grey roll under their packs - I think I might have to join the club.
Such a contrast - from dry desert to snowy landscape. I was wondering how your pack got so small - then I realized that you probably don't have to carry a bear can?? It must be a nice time to be in the desert - early in the season before it gets too hot and dry.
Looking for a place to "snow bird" (yes, I'm old) my son took me to Tucson, and we hiked to Sabino Cyn. A few other families were there enjoying some quality family time, too. Good memories. Thanks for the video!
Just stopped by the high line trail head near camp Geronimo entrance a couple days ago, and saw a Darwin on the sign in sheet with a nice quote. Was thinking was it you!? Nice video man
I'm really enjoying all your videos after you stepped up from that crummy Session cube 3 years ago. I just bought a GP7 Black using your Amazon affiliate link because you inspire me. - LightWalker
The hitchhiking still blows my mind. One thing when you're in a trail town but it's shocking when anywhere else. I mean, it's great for hikers I'm just surprised it happens at all (or that anyone actually stops).
Haha that pause before you said what you were having for lunch....I literally exclaimed "Couscous!!" out loud the same time you said it bahah. I guess you could say I've watched a few of your vids before ;) I just wish couscous wasn't made of wheat otherwise it'd be my go-to trail meal also!!
When you get to Tucson, make sure you try a Sonoran-Style Hot Dog for lunch! Then if you wanna just see some nightlife, check out Hotel Congress. *NVM, looks like you already hit Tucson.
I lived in the Maricopa Valley for a few years. Hated the city, but kinda miss the countryside. Unfortunately, just too damn dry for this Southern boy. 😂 I got to do some backpacking north of the Rim. Some if the prettiest country I've ever seen. Just a little jealous of ya, Darwin, right now. 😉
Not Sierra snow... Well just be thankful you didn't start a month earlier than you did. The last weekend before March they got something like 6ft of snow up there on mica peak...
Congrats!, hey, Darwin...how did you handle the snow with your tennis shoes? I have walked on snow and my feet got cold really fast and I just wonder, how did you manage it? really like your videos!!! hope you can do the Camino de Santiago de Compostela from France to Spain...and do the video! if you do... there are a lot of trails to get to Santiago, the most beautiful I think is the north trail. Good luck Darwin!
I'm barely a minute in to this video and I just want to note that I would completely lose it if I ran into you on trail! That guy played it cool. Am I the only one who views thru-hikers as rock stars? Hahahahaha
Great job! I leave near Mesa and plan to hike the AZT next year. What is the definition of a thru hike? If I take a week off and then resume hiking is that a thru hike or a section hike?

OMG Sabino Canyon is one of my most favorite of all time places on the planet! So great to see someone else appreciating it! 🥰 💖🍃🌸
That was funny " you know why I'm carrying this.....because you recommended it"....LOL...bet that was a cool feeling for D....great video

The kids cheering for Neemor had me cracking up!
Yeah me to. Very unexpected addition.
Awesome to see that at 7:52!!

I see the dates you posted your videos, but would really love to know your hiking days. Planning my 2020 AZT NOBO. So much Snow this year!

It's awesome to see people that you've inspired on your hike. Great videos Darwin.
It's because of Darwin we got into hiking and started documenting. Hoping to get out this weekend and do a proper hiking video here in montana
Its awesome seeing southern AZ from the trail. So many people live there, but never get out there to hike. Happy trails and safe travels.
Wow, being an Eastern boy I never would have thought of trudging through snow in AZ this time of year. Such vast and varied terrain. Thanks for taking us along.
Great camera, but it's more how you use it. You create the right feeling without hitting us over the head. While challenged! Bravo Master Darwin.
Out here in my neck of the woods! I hike up through Saguaro East all the time, especially on the northern trails. Love the videos!
Just beautiful! Just got back from my first visit to AZ and was amazed. Kept thinking “Darwin is hiking here somewhere!” Lol!
Good to have you back on the trail. Happy Hiking.

Super stoked you got to go through Sabino, that place is beautiful.
So great to see the Great Cacti! I surely miss Tucson... Thanks for making your documentary!
I don't know what it is about these vids that makes it so enjoyable but keep it up and keep on truckin!
Those vistas! Unreal beautiful, indeed.
Awesome video as usual, already looking forward to the next one.
Stay Tuned!!!
Hike On,
Darwin
I always look forward to new Darwin videos.
Views are just incredible. Desert bottom to snow peaks just crazy. Be safe 👍👍

Enjoying your AZT series! Photography is awesome.
Absolutely amazing.
Really enjoying these videos - well done - great mix of commentary, scenery, observations - good idea to introduce the you tube crowd to a trail other than the big 3
Thanks for capturing the beauty of where I live. I can't believe how amazing the Tucson area is! Thanks!

Yay! Neemor! Lol. Another great video Darwin. Thank you! Safe Travels! :)
Really enjoyed this segment. The scenery is breathtaking. As always, thanks so much for sharing.
Steve
Did you stop by the Catalina Wine Mixer while on the highway?
Beautiful shots, Darwin. Can't wait to see more.
Why would someone dislike these videos. Either you are into it or not. Thats how I look at it.
Such a contrast - from dry desert to snowy landscape. I was wondering how your pack got so small - then I realized that you probably don't have to carry a bear can??
It must be a nice time to be in the desert - early in the season before it gets too hot and dry.
Mount Lemmon was so cold when we were there a year ago! So beautiful though
Can’t wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing the insane beauty of the trails. :))

Beautiful scenery, wonderfully filmed.
Thank you from Australia.
I'm in the tropics, so never see snow. 😁
I was literally cheering to myself "Hey, it's Neemor!" right before the text appeared and the cheer went up! LOL
That was pretty cool getting those other hikers in the vid.
Love Capturing those moments. Usually edit them out, but felt it needed to be in this one!
Hike On,
Darwin
The hitchhiking still blows my mind. One thing when you're in a trail town but it's shocking when anywhere else. I mean, it's great for hikers I'm just surprised it happens at all (or that anyone actually stops).
Another great video!!! Keep them coming!!!
YAY :) I got cold in that crunching snow! ...........nice job!
For some reason you seemed in an extra good mood this episode. Hope you’re having fun out there!
Great job i am going to do this..

Loved the water feature at 8:12!

Were you In Tucson during the snowstorm in February? OMG so was I!!!
Great videos! I'm definately adding the AZT to my ToDo list. Keep them coming...
Not Sierra snow... Well just be thankful you didn't start a month earlier than you did. The last weekend before March they got something like 6ft of snow up there on mica peak...
Shoes? Lone Peak 4.5? Great vids.

Love those CNOC bags!
You just said it yourself. Filter that JUST works. That one.
Beautiful. Love the videos!
Snow!!! That’s awesome
We'll the weather outside is frightful....
Nice series, loving the AZT!!
All those guys with massive bags, and then you with a tiny bag haha
The sawmill restaurant on top of Mt Lemon has the best cheeseburgers. I've hiked in Sabino canyon many times, Love the area!!! Thanks Darwin!!
Darwin: 160 miles, time for the first zero.
Me hiking the AT: 806 miles, time for the first zero. D:
Super editing on this video!
Thanks Brother!
Hike On,
Darwin

Are those William Painter sunglasses, if so how do you rate them
Great quality video
Awesome video
Nice. It is really beautiful! (-and a "Hi" from France)
While I love your trail tattoos, I hear my grandmother's voice in my head shouting "Child, where are your trousers?! YOU ARE WALKING IN THE SNOW!"
So the same. Except mine would say britches. 🤣
Before watching these AZT videos , I didn't know it snows anywhere in Arizona
We got a lot of snow this winter, even in the south (Mt Lemmon, Superstition Mts), but there's always snow up in north AZ during winter.
Digging the post rock!!
🤘🤘
Whee did you buy those two pouches on your bag pack straps? Cheers.
Awesome video Darwin... again...is Snuggles going to meet up with you? Rock on brah!
Until this moment...AZT hadn’t been on my bucket list. It is now!
It’s Sooo Good!
Hike On,
Darwin
Hope you enjoyed Vail and Tucson! My two hometowns!
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Great job! I leave near Mesa and plan to hike the AZT next year. What is the definition of a thru hike? If I take a week off and then resume hiking is that a thru hike or a section hike?
at 0:47, looking at their packs makes me feel tired already! i always wonder how can someone hike with such backpack! must be really strong uh! haha
Truly stunning Darwin. Epic landscapes and inspiring music now how do you follow that?
Had same problem with my Micro. So I returned it. Looking for a replacement filter now. What do you think? I liked my micro too. Bummer.
What bag are you using with your Sawyer? I really like that option.
CNOC Vecto 2 L water container 28 mm orange
What is Snuggles up to these days?
I tried the Sawyer micro. On my first time with it, it crapped out. I do not recommend the Sawyer micro.
YAS darwin videos 💕
I know you carry one pole because of your tent setup...but do you miss using two while you hike?
Woohoo Woohoo!!!
