children with autism grow up to be adults with autism, and i can't emphasize how important it is for us to value job coaches. they transit and prepare adults with special needs into the working world, enabling them to earn their own money and live a dignified life. job coaches should be given the prestige and respect they deserve! also this video made me more inclined to purchase things from brands that promote inclusion or hire adults with special needs 😊
Yoo, I have autism too! I think what people really have to understand is that people with autism are just as intelligent as people without, we just have atypical outward presentations. There would be so much more opportunity for people with disabilities if social judgement didn't perceive us as lesser, or defective, or stunted. We are usually capable of all the things you are, we just suck at socializing.
@@PinkSparklerToontown lately i've been into syndrom, disorders and things like that.. and i'm curious about this "Autism is a spectrum" things.. can you explain it pls? (That is if you have the time and if u want to) thank youu have a nice dayy :D Or maybe if you have an article link or yt videos about that it's finee.
@@nabelalifxiiak4565 Basically it means everyone has a certain level of autism. Spectrum as in like a spectrum of light there are many colours in a spectrum of light. So basically different levels of autism for everyone. Some are extreme, some are mild, some are negligible, some are negligible but noticeable.
I wish him all the best for his future. I hope that Singapore will be a more understanding society towards people with special needs and that there will be more opportunities for them to integrate in society. Thank u for sharing tis awesome content!
My primary school classmate!! I use to take care of him and his grandmother would always pick him up after school. But after graduating from pri sch we did not keep in contact. This video brings back lots of flashbacks and memories. I hope he still remembers me and my form teacher!
Pity those people who bully him. It only reflects that their family has a little brain and compassion to people with special needs. He is very smart and can understand instructions very well. Very genuine too
My little girl is low functioning autistic. I love watching stories like this it gives me hope for my daughters future and hope that the world will be more understanding/accepting of special needs people. We want what everyone else has in life, friends family a good community that supports and encourage us to keep being our wonderful selves. Thank you for sharing and being the parents your son needs, truly selfless acts.
We can be just as smart or smarter than you or any other non autistic person. Autism isn’t a learning disorder; we can also be geniuses in certain areas just as Albert Einstein was and he was autistic too. However some autistic people can also have a learning disorder just like non autistic people can have. Thanks
My SO is diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and we have been doing very well together ( our first year anniversary was this month ). I do see myself having children with them one day and the probability that our kids will have Autism will be on the higher end. I myself have never judged special needs kids growing up who participated in our classes or schools. I am very happy to see the raising of the awareness that people with special needs are capable as well and the company that gave Yi Lin an opportunity to earn his own money and be independent really puts a smile on my face giving me hope for humanity. However our future will be with our kids I just hope I am more than ready to support them and as well as the rest of the world to lend a tiny boost to those in need.
Wish him all the best for his future. I am sure a big talent is hidden within him and if dug, he will become big. He has every capability of living as a normal man. He just thinks differently and behaves different from a typical Singaporean kid. Hope Singapore becomes a more understanding society as well.
I hv a cousin who is 28yo n has autism. He is very gd in computers n smart guy. Do not look down on them jus becos they act abnormal. In actual fact they r very smart jus tat they do things n learn things slower than others. Be patient with them. They r very nice ppl.
There is a Dr that you can get in touch with, His (Dr Oselumen Ose) on RUclips. Am excited his meds for epilepsy/seizures works perfectly for me. He also got cure for Autism etc.
Other than jobs they need subsidies for basic stuff like living cost, transportation and specialist surgeries(in case they need any) depending on they autism condition
Be positive n stay away from abusers. They r haters with no real❤️please keep positive with daily lives no one is perfect but your son is honest in his big heart. Keep going n God will look after his well being. My child gone the hardest time in his life. It today he is success in his studies n is a graduate in university with a I T degree. Very proud of him with his future now God bless Amen
Last time I attended special needs workshop for my curiosity. the lecturer run special need school in bangsa, KL. What she share is so valuable, autism children's brain 🧠 wiring slightly different, we just need to give them as much brain tools to manage their own difference. The singer Jay Chow from Taiwan is slightly autism, but omg his music sense is way advance for his time. takes time to manage but provide as much opportunity for them. They can perform their superpower.. it's amazing
Thank you for making this video! Please make sure of people with special needs. I think more parents need awareness and greater support in this area. Thank you!
good father. the earlier you accepting the truth. the better.... cuz u know even some normal peoples in society nowsday can walk /talk /act freely without brain.
My parents keep pushing my younger brother with autism to adjusting normal kids 😭 They keep rejecting to admit if my lil brother have autism (with below normal IQ) I felt pity at him because he is struggling a lot at school and normal people in normal school always bullying him and use him for money. 😭 Idk what I should I do. 😭😭😭 It's nice if in Indonesia there's organization like Trampoline who will help people with special needs like my little brother. 😭😭😭
Try to explain to your parents what happened to your brother in school? Maybe try show them this video? And google see if there are any organizations or support group in your country that might be of help to your brother?
That's okay. Autistics may need to experience things the hard way to learn and mature. Parents shouldn't coddle or protect Autistics from growing and learning even if it may mean letting go of them, and even if it means heartaches and losing money. (I'm autistic)

Maybe its just me. But i think the father is from mainland china. His accent sounds very mainland china and the son even has that mainland mandarin accent. Their mandarin sounds very polished. Singaporean's mandarin sounds different.
People with autism are often very "good" people who will always follow the rules needed. As such, they can be scammed by others who exploit their "good" nature.
I think the family need to put him under special school & to have someone who can monitor him when the parents are no longer there. He may look independent, but he still clearly need help in some ways like his bank account, which he got scammed. So i think if he put under a facilities, they can help maintain his account & also a roof for him & other austism child.
I disagree. He is now in his early 20s and he’s learning the life skills needed to be independent. Learning from mistakes like scammers is part of growing up. He is obviously thriving and happy, will be cruel to put him in a facility! I wouldn’t put my child in any facility too.
In cases like these, conservative parents will advice the couples to have another (or more) children because it will act as "fallback" for them should they turn out growing normal in the future, however the big fear is what if the next children be born will also have special needs issue and the couples will have to deal with another reality check

Well what can they do about it? Not every family loves their autistic child let alone would ever want to take care of it. They are forced to.
