You were not kidding when you said about getting wet hehe. Think you choose a good spot at Grosmont as like all stations I bet it was a nightmare, especially when a train arrived. I found that at Levisham and Pickering.

Ye this numpty left his big umbrella in the car but I had my clamp to hold it onto the tripod in my bag 🤦
I didn't even step one foot onto the station platform all day I stayed well away as you could see the crowds of people fill the platforms as soon as a train stopped lol
It was a good day though, shame about the deltic not being there
