I know we're not suppose to fall in love with goats that are leaving but I swear I envy the owner taking Ruger home. Uff that udder is gorgeous. Although she makes me excited about those Lucky daughters you are keeping.
Lots of changes to the milking. Loved the video cutting back and forth between the farm and the road. You all are certainly busy. Hope the reduction in milkers is helping. Can’t wait to see more of the guys adventures on the road.
It’s sad to see the babies go, especially when they’ve been born into such a loving home 😢I know it’s necessary and you can’t keep them all! But it’s still sad, I bet it’s so hard for you Crystal , but your reputation proceeds you and your babies are in demand 😊
It’s always interesting to see what happens beyond breeding and birthing on this channel. I was able to spout off some goat knowledge I learned from you in general to my hubby three weeks ago during a six hour hot trip to Central, Texas because I watch year round, I’m subscribed, and no matter what the topic is I watch every video. Hubby was surprised that I knew some facts about goats. Especially Nigis. I owe it all to BCDG. Thank you for sharing your journey with me. Forever Fan, Renee From TEXAS!!
As a vet tech I really appreciate all the hard work you guys do! Delivering your goats and your excellent disease prevention protocols are great. I hope to have goats on my farm in the next couple years. 🤞 Keep up the good work and content. 💜
Daisy looks like she is going to have a good home and a good mama. I can’t wait to see all the new soaps you create Crystal 😊and I have said this before but you and your husband have some really special kids!!! ❤
So fun having the girls back up on the ramp to give milk Missed watching them trot up and down the ramps. Y'all have a great set up. Hugs from Washington State on the eastern side
It always seem sad to see the babies go to their new homes, but at least they have a nice family to go to.❤️. Daisy Duke is such an adorable name. It’s been a hot and wet summer here. Not as high heat as you have but the humid heat in the nineties and that’s yucky.
What you and your family are doing is fantastic because I'm sure everyone watching that can't have one DOES WANT ONE OR TWO ETC.... 😂I really enjoy you guys going back in fourth with Derek deliveries and crystal at farm since I've been watching I have learned SO MUCH ABOUT GOATS,EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SHARED AND SHOWN FROM BIRTHS,FEEDING,CLEANING,CHASING THEM,MILKING THEM ETC.😊❤.
I could see the sadness on your face right away Crystal when the one baby was leaving. I was feeling sad too but just think how happy her new family is to have her❤
Ruger is so desperate to get back into milking! 😂 she tries to push her way to the milking stand every time I milk. I'm so excited to see this beauty's next freshen! Btw, I'm a little jelly of your cheese press collection! 😅
@BlueCactusDairyGoats me, either!! I know I've already said it a million times, but THANK YOU! I'll be retiring one of my goats this winter because she is a terrible mother, hates milking, and her teats are very poorly placed. Ruger will be the tip top BEST replacement for my retiree! I'm excited to milk test her, too! 😁
You know something? What y’all are doing is wonderful. When I purchased my first goat I had no idea how to milk and although I tried my best every time, my goat ended up getting mastitis within the very first week. I was scared and I felt so terrible. I didn’t know what to do or how to even tell the original owner what had happened. Long story short, after doing extensive amount of research and watching your videos, my goat is doing great she recouped and gives me 18-23oz of milk twice a day. ❤
Hi Crystal, I have been watching your videos for a while and can't help admiring the relationship you have with your kids. They seem so willing to help with the family business. Congrats on a beautiful family! I live in Tucson so I know how hot you are. Yours, Michelle
Hello Crystal and Emily!!! Safe trip to the guys!!! I can tell how sad you are Crystal now that the babies and seniors are start leaving to their new homes but I know and hope they are going to a good homes!!! I miss you guys so much and your video just made my day!! Love you guys!!!❤❤🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
On Cog Hill Farm RUclips they had a male goat’s teats fill up with milk. They took him to the doctor and the story with it. Never knew a male got teats.
This was a cool episode! It's awesome to see that the guys deliver to Andrews. I live in Odessa which is 30 minutes south. We never get rain here either so go figure the one time y'all come here it does rain 😅 Thank your talking about drying up your does too. I am drying up one of my does right now and this video gave me the confidence I needed to make sure I am doing it correctly and not hurting my doe. Her name is Pan. Good luck on delivering the rest of the babies and everything else you guys do!
Happy to see the momma's and babies even if it was a quick peek ❣❣ Hopefully you guys can get a vlog of the boys and the working the ladies and babies playing with Emily and chasing Darren with the camera. There is a channel that I have been watching and they didn't know one of their ladies was pregnant and went into labor. They went live ( it said but not so) and they seemed panicked and I started in telling them the things that I have seen you doing and telling them what to do step by step. Anyway they had already had them put in a pen of their own and was showing them off a day old and jumping around happy and healthy. I was happy to help them but they didn't need it. Anyway it was all due to watching everyone of your family vlogs of how you do things at least 5 times at least. 💋❣💯💯
Road trip - even if the baby was alone - it wasn't overnight without a companion. Not quite so lonely for too long. I liked your way of deciding who would be dried up and who would probably going to shows and needing an active udder for show purposes.
Great video! Good to see you back and your new “normal”. It’s always inspiring. Could you possibly share where you get you natural organic supplies and EO’s for soap making? I’m having trouble finding anything. Thank you 😊
I have heard that not milking a doe for a good amount of time after kidding 200-300 days could affect their next lactation. Is that true? I'd love for that not to be the case!
I have heard both ways. The longer you milk them the better their next lactation will be and it won't make any effect at all to dry them up earlier than 300 days. The only difference in milk production I've ever noticed was with how many kids they have.
10:45 to 14-.45 All that talk about her tence utter, and you didn´t milk her😁 Maybe ad to sec. of it, we are learning and it´s harder to milk than most ppl think. I learned it as a child; a field, a goat (not mini), a bucket and piece of rope😳😨🐐🏃♀"go milk her", they said. She had "cone-tits" so important to go high&wide, then close off with indexfinger and make a rolling motion. Milk could shoot 30 feet! We were children+ very first milk we never used, maybe cause they didn´t wash utter like now. love the farm and everything on it.
With sheep (and dairy cows) you aren't supposed to milk them at all once you go to dry them off, obviously goats are different if you relieve them when they are full after drying off?
You caught the storm on the video. 😂 26:45
Have missed you guys 😢. So happy to see the girls ❤. Anna still barking at them.😂

Safe travels when you deliver the goats. Glad you have a co-pilot this trip.

Good to see y’all!
LOVE your t shirt! I live near the Buffalo River. It’s where I can relax, regroup, and unplug!
Wife and mom……. “Be safe, be good”. Lol love it

Derek, very smart tactic. It does add more work for you to be driving those babies to their new home. Safe travels Derek.
its the attack of the killer goats lol

I loved seeing that you’re going to start making the soaps, again!! Is there a link where we can binge watch the soap making videos??
We❤🔵🌵🍶🐐s!! Stay safe!!
❤❤
Great video guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
I know where that is I live in Las Cruces New Mexico
Can’t wait to buy y’all’s soap again as my ear is bad again and your soap is the only thing that stops it from getting dry and crusty and sore.
😊
Wish i was able to get rugar this year ugh. Good luck in your new home rugat
I do the same. Id rather make sure they dry up safely than sell in milk to someone who has no clue
Great video! Good to see you back and your new “normal”. It’s always inspiring. Could you possibly share where you get you natural organic supplies and EO’s for soap making? I’m having trouble finding anything. Thank you 😊
Who will take care of the goats while you are gone. Who will make soap while you are gone?

@@BlueCactusDairyGoats thank you so much! I'm milking 9 but I'm tired and don't need all the milk right now, will dry some up!
Love you channel! How much milk do you get a day from your 12 does?
Ok… what’s the story behind the taxidermy bobcat?
You made ramp for milking 6:45

How long do you separate to dry the does off? Thanks!!
How many goats are you keeping since y’all have sold so many? I’ve been wondering how large your herd will be now.
23 does and 5 bucks
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats that’s awesome!! I really thought you sold all of them haha. I thought you had like 6 left 😅
Drying them up is a good idea. Not everyone is goat savvy. Mastitis is nothing to take lightly..Nice to see you goat woman.
