I bought this tablet for my 12 year old as a late x mas or B-Day present.. She told me she wanted a tablet and not a phone.. It's been almost one year and it's working great 10/10 for sure..
My 4-year old has been using this for almost a year since his Tab A8 2019 got broken. Honestly, as a Google Photos viewer, RUclips Kids or games for kids machine, this works for him. I think that's the target crowd. My child is still too young for a phone, and a big tablet will be too bulky for him. He is also not someone who demands a lot for a tablet. Sure, my Tab S7+ runs circles on this, but this tablet isn't for me. I use Dex all the time, and use my tab as my secondary laptop. My child is perfectly happy with the A7 Lite.
I'm watching this as I am thinking of maybe to buy this for my senior mother. She just needs a screen that is bigger than her phone for her to watch netflix.

It was on sale and I was able to buy 2 tablets for the price of 1 galaxy tab A7 lite. Since it's just for their entertainment and not for work I decided that the lower spec amazon hd would suffice for their needs.
Thinking of grabbing this as a budget entertainment tablet. I'm happy to hear it seems to be (pretty much) able to handle android 13. And it's still going strong after two years of a kid using it. Encouraging!
There’s no reason why they haven’t refreshed this with more RAM and a better processor. There are still people who want a capable small tablet on the Android side. It wouldn’t take too much to give this pen support, more RAM and UFS storage.
I bought a used one for only 50 dollars lastweek but with a verry slight amoled burn at the upper left corner you can't barely notice it on a white background and good thing is that it has darkmode. I gave it to my wife and she loves using it.
Seeing conflicting info on two things, in U.S., that I need: 1. With T-Mobile tablet plan, is there a way to use for calls without a phone nearby? Reading that U.S. carriers block dialer capability, while other countries allow. 2. Can it track and find smarttags? Some say they got smartthings app on it, but could not use to find smarttag. Thanks!!
What Samsung needs to do is allow proper storage expansion You can put up to a terabyte on here but you can’t offload apps to an sd card It’s asinine Nobody is buying this tablet to take pictures and that’s all the sd card is good for I will not buy another Samsung device because of this Plenty of android tablets that allow you to offload what you want on to an expandable sd card.
I love mine but it just eats battery. I/we would love videos to see what can be safely disabled in the settings....? All the updates keeps adding some new crap to run in the background, i really don't think it's nessessary.

My biggest knock against Kindle was the Amazon app limitation. Light internet use, additional access to apps and as a e-reader. I'm not a fan of Apple Products. I don't want a large tablet. my son's a7 lite auto shut down and have the mainboard and subboard replaced for two times and failed again yesterday, not sure if it is due to the recent Android or security update patch. anyone has a similar problem after the update?

The s series is the premium buy. It depends on your needs and of course what u can afford. Personally I don't need another pricey screen since I've got so many devices at this point. 😅
Same here. I wanted the small form factor of the A7 to read in bed. It works well for that. I use the S7 and S8 when I need more performance and a backup to my laptop. I have so many devices. I have to cut back. 😂

I hope you didn't buy this. I just did and it's as slow as a turtle. My old nexus 7 and galaxy tab S2 were much faster. I paid for the International one in NZ but with up to a 5 second wait between screen swaps is ridiculous
Great info and techsplaining. I bought the 4gb ram version to run Tune ECU on my motorcycle for maintenance. The app only runs on Android, so this is a perfect option for that specific task. It was $100 with some discounts and earned promotions at Bestbuy. If I was looking for a tablet for true productivity, the Surface is still my goto. I'm still content with my S22 ultra phone being the best option, although overall reliability has continued to drop off from the peak of the Note 9.

Was never able to put a memory card in it to expand it. Its been slow since day one. Ive only had 1.5 gigs of the 32gbs to use. I never expected much from this tablet. But i did expect more than what it is. Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

I’m an Apple guy. I have Mac mini, MacBook, and iPad 10. But I’ve been looking for a small iPad for lounging RUclips in bed etc. mini is too expensive and too good for just that so I’ve had my eye on this 7 lite
The iPad Mini 6th Gen works a lot better than the A7 Lite. I only got the 32GB model of the A7 and it works fine until you start bumping up against the available memory. I have a 512GB SD card in it and I put music, pictures on that which works well. I just wiped mine after 1.5 years and I'm being careful with respect to what I'm loading on to it as apps running in the background can really cause it to lag. I also have an S7 and S8 which perform way better but I bought this tablet mostly to read on. Works great for that provided I don't get carried away with other applications.
I have the 64 gig version of this and through my use I am noticed the lag through the UI. The Samsung UI to me helps it lag end of story that’s what I have seen.
You can turn on developers options in settings and change the animation scale to 0.5 This will speed up the response time when clicking on anything Videos on RUclips show you how to do it Very simple.

Well depends on your game. All of mine are unusable. Also forget trying a stylus for this screen you have to slam it I to to screen to get any response.
@@cousins_bellic it is buy no means as good as the s-series tablet or the iPad Mini 6 Gen but you get what you pay for. I don't do a lot of multi tasking with the A7 and I keep a close eye on what is allowed to run in the background.

Yeah, it’s 129 rn, my lil guy likes to play his coloring book/copy letters games. Shame this doesn’t support the S pen.

Hi, try looking up Nokia T10, Realme pad mini, Lenovo M8 gen 3/4 & this tab a7 lite. I personally prefer the tab a7 lite due to ui & security updates.
