using fine gauge tight linked stainless chain with clear chaffing tube over top for rigidity , d shackled onto the hook with that section heat shrinked ....is the cheap sta stuk version ....works great 👍 👌...
Was wondering if the black painted SOB (sobey obverse barb) hooks were used much if it all in Hawaii? They had the barb on the outside of the hook rather than on the inside like your standard J hook of today. They only had one solid ring in the eye of the hook. Shame they stopped making them and never produced them in Stainless like the hooks of today.

I don't know anyone who ran or runs that configuration.
