Another souls like ish game. It's more story involved, but combat is very similar to souls. Had to change the button configurations later on as running was tied to Square, and dodge was tied to X when using the controller. Awful lmao. Changed it to Type C and it worked fine. Combat feels very animation heavy, and dodge is super slow with huge recovery.... You also get stunned easily. It's gonna take a while to get used to that. If you guys tried the demo, let me know what you think of the game!
I've finished the demo too, with almost killing the last boss before he unleashing "his true strength". The game looks nice,it has potential. Waiting for the PS5 demo soon.
Looking a good mix of classic Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Fenyx Rising and Kingdoms of Amalur. Player character is very pretty, and looking forward to playing this one alongside Evil West.
based on my experience.. this type of enemy attack pretty much like sekiro than dark souls.. which mean.. they will entirely lock on you even you going sideway.. so you have to perfectly dodge it as enemy attack..
Yea the timing is super strict for the bosses. Normal enemies you ca. Start the dodge like 5 years early. Also the dodge is animation heavy and has huge recovery so you can't move or start another so quickly
like... why are companies ONLY making souls-style combat games? lol, it's like no other style exists anymore. it used to be niche but now it's everywhere
that's true, I like Jedi: Fallen Order but I thing it would be better if it was a hack n slash, the same goes to some other games, looks like everything must be a soulslike now, that's why most of the time I skip them, the only soulslike I played recently was hollow knight that's just partially one, we need some hack n slash games again, also don't help that I like monster hunter that even if it's not the same as soulslike they share a similar combat concept, so yeah I'm really saturated of it hahaha
That jump attack from the crocodile boss needs some work, it feels so weightless whenever it finally hits the ground. The attacks in general need some work, make it more satisfying for players to hit and be hit.
2022 and this game is a closed-off, claustrophobic, train track of a game. not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing yet. let's hope the story is something awesome. best wishes.
Apparently it's on everything but the Switch. That written, the PC version seems to be the best one in terms of the deluxe/ultimate edition (game, + OST + call of paragons DLC).
Finished the demo today and it felt good, not perfect though. The lock-on is bugged as hell (it changes target on its own and locks on the farest enemy on the screen somehow) and there's a little delay when using the sword combo which could make the entire combo pretty tiring. Spear is what I've been sticking for the entire boss fight and it's way too strong, the counter attack window is ridiculously high so getting the parry timing is easy enough to abuse out of it lol.
@@Exialyser Yeah the spear has a parry mechanic, more like a block, you block the incoming attack and you can counter attack a few hits before your next block. It's incredibly powerful because the window is pretty large ;)
Another Soulslike game. Too many game developers are ripping off the Battle Royale game and the Souls series. There is no other industry where stealing is as rampant as in the game industry. If it were movies or music, there would be a huge uproar.
@Its Morbin time From Software games are pretty much the only games that nail the souls-like combat system apart from a few exceptions. Not surprising here since they are the pioneers of the genre. There are other games inspired by it but most of them usually came out as either average or mediocre. Nioh 2 and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order are two of the few examples that deviate from the standard souls-like formula while retaining the core of the formula while adding new ingredients of their own. Not to mention several 2D souls-like games (such as salt and sanctuary and dead cells) that were also clearly inspired by the genre. So yes, at this point souls-like games have started to become oversaturated. 2022 alone already saw 5 souls-like games and the list doesn't include indie titles or the 2D variations.
Not sure about music but movies aren't too much different. A lot are just reboots nowadays or rehashed events in different ways. Regardless i do understand the op thoughts on the gaming industry copying the souls genre too much. Their games are good sure, but nothing mindblowing (barring sekiro because it actually tried to be different) and for most games just basically boils down to hit n run tactics.
@Its Morbin time I didn't say that fps and sandbox survival crafting games are not oversaturated in the industry. I was only agreeing with OP's statement regarding developers trying to capitalize and rack the success of the souls series. to the point that cheap knockoffs and mediocre souls-like exist in the market. Also never did I say that I don't have any problems with the former too. You played 1 or two survival crafting games, you already played them all. Literally. Steam is loaded with cash grabs and rip offs of those genres.
Looks fine but I wish she would just shut up for at least a minute. Annoying characters can completely ruin a game for me. Good thing everyone is a silent protag in soul games.
Why in so many RPG games now a days you have to play as a strong tough gifted girlie. Why can't we always have the option to play as a man or a woman, lately most games are female roles and its getting tired. I am not a girl and I don't want to play as a girl. Any other men feel this way?
Meh. Adds nothing to the Souls formula and the combat seems a bit too clunky with enemies not having variety of different attacks. Art style while looks nice it's a bit generic.
The hit sound is very bad. It's like you hit mobs with stick, not the sword. The impact from hits feel boring. I like design in general, but game look too childish, i mean very very childish (visual).
Story looks and character design lack any inspiration, character talks too much hate when they talk to themselves, combat looks stiff and Janky as hell. Nothing really stands out.

Will the game run 4k 60 fps on ps5?
I'll ask my pr
Kena: Bridge of Spirits you mean
looks good but other games seem worth it more maybe
most of your state are true.. even blocking are static.. but i saw a skill tree on character menu.. so i was expecting it will unlock such perks?
Love that crocodile chomp sound...
I've finished the demo too, with almost killing the last boss before he unleashing "his true strength". The game looks nice,it has potential. Waiting for the PS5 demo soon.
14:23 - Awesome! Raveneous is already my favorite boss battle in this game! 🐊
Love your channel. Hope you upload more videos!
Looking a good mix of classic Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Fenyx Rising and Kingdoms of Amalur. Player character is very pretty, and looking forward to playing this one alongside Evil West.
you do know evil west got delayed right?
@@Exialyser So? Delayed is way better than cancelled.
This looks GOOD. Very like a mixture of Kena and Fenix Rising. Thanks for the video, I’ll definitely be looking out for this one.
is more souls like, only the graphic is like kena and fenyx
@Random Pixel bruh yes, there's soo many "souls like" games coming out right now, that its starting to get cringy xD
@Random Pixel Knowing its another souls-like makes not wanna play the game, and I was kinda looking forward to it as well. oh well.
The boss fight at the end feels like a case of the trope Fission Mailed.
Game looks pretty nice! Can't wait.
You nailed the Aesthetics, they look beautiful.
This gameplay makes it seem impossible to dodge those alligator jump attacks, it got you every single time
based on my experience.. this type of enemy attack pretty much like sekiro than dark souls.. which mean.. they will entirely lock on you even you going sideway.. so you have to perfectly dodge it as enemy attack..

i expect the riot new mmo is gonna be in this graphic ! i liked the vid btw
will buy the game just because the giant alligator looks cute
What is the game release date?
Oct 11

Classic but original in its way, wonder what else they have in mind
This looks like Immortal Fenyx Rising in Unreal Engine 5.
My exact thoughts.
Very cool. This is looking like a purchase for me.
Potential, good music of course
This game is definitely on my radar. Will get the PS5 version once it releases.
Fuck the censorship 5
As long as I can change the button controls (can't ever get used to the trigger controls for attacks), I'll probably get it.
What gaming platform? Good to have the info in the title, if I may suggest.
it's PC. I mentioned it in the description
That jump attack from the crocodile boss needs some work, it feels so weightless whenever it finally hits the ground. The attacks in general need some work, make it more satisfying for players to hit and be hit.
Dark souls + Kena: Bridge of Spirits = Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
Is this souls level of difficulty?
27:00 is that Garen? lol
2022 and this game is a closed-off, claustrophobic, train track of a game.
not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing yet. let's hope the story is something awesome.
best wishes.
i mean, outriders was similar in how you had clearly defined paths that you had to take didnt even have to do sidequests.
Kena meets thumb raider? Looking good tho
an action game that's not just muscular men and monsters? maybe I should try it
but this game looks practically ancient, even for the price...
This game only for PS 5 & PC ?
Apparently it's on everything but the Switch. That written, the PC version seems to be the best one in terms of the deluxe/ultimate edition (game, + OST + call of paragons DLC).
souls combat is great really liking this game what i seen the price is $35 in the us great price hopefully demo soon on ps5
This the games good backgrounds music nice story great combat

they have parry mechanics? i tried, i never saw once she parry
@@Exialyser Yeah the spear has a parry mechanic, more like a block, you block the incoming attack and you can counter attack a few hits before your next block. It's incredibly powerful because the window is pretty large ;)
A small independent team production would like to try
Are you kidding me Hilda? You can't swim? Come on! Even freaking Burton from Ninjala is a good swimmer, and he's a nerd!
Its like the devs knew the voice acting was horrible and decided to drown her out with the st.
Kena + Souls = this
This game already give me chills
God of Fenyx creed rising 2 looks sick 😆😆
elden ring came out and everyone was like SHIT CHANGE EVERYTHING
Extremely Hungry the Plate Cleaner is kind of a silly name. Everything else looks cool, though.
Aye this game looking FIRE 🔥
Next!
Seems to be so much easy and have a unpolished combat
it"s SACRED
Can't wait for this game to release
wut in mhw is this?
Great!
amazing game!
It's like a game of majin
It looks like oldschool game. And I like it.
yeah its giving me ps1/ps2 adventure games. love it
Not a bad looking game, combat seems fun. But seriously, Triangle for climbing? Come on.
Can we stop calling every action game a "souls like" please?
All these themes and mechanics are staple for ACTION RPGS. They aren't unique to Souls.
Kena already grew up?
the leg animations are SUPER weird
Looks like fenix racing
The game lacks impact.
Feeling of hitting/being hit.
Your character flinches after being swatted by an entire tail..?
the look reminds me of fable 😢
Соулс лайк очередной. Сколько можно?!
Fenyx Rising 2?
holy fucking shit, fenyx rising meets souls?? take my bank account !!

@Its Morbin time No they're not, atleast gameplay wise. Hack n Slash is better.

@@lapsedilationdrive3943 Dead cells has nothing to do with souls what, the rest I agree
i like this game. probaly i will taken.
Can we play a Male lead?
seems to be fixed female lead
Waaau am Pinpinis tv from Ghana nice movie i like this movie so much God bless you all
went to google this game and the first result in the google search bar was r34
Dark souls + monster hunter?
I dont like "sous like" games, and it's become boring because all rpg game release like that this years...
Vagrant Story
For a Soulslike a bit slow but good👍
Or as Olberic from Octopath Traveler would now say.TOOO SLOW!!! 😅
Buen juego
Looks fine but I wish she would just shut up for at least a minute.

hello
привет Дарк Соулс

5/10
today if you a game developer and ran out of ideas , MAKE ANOTHER SHITTY SOULS GAME
Just like Skyrim for me....
To many class...
too much ubisoft in it
i hope they dont have to higher place to unlock maps
@@Exialyser i hope so, well if it had then it's doomed XD
Looks good. But the character talks too much and reminds me of my ex who won't shut up.
Бои уровня 90х
it looks clunky tho
Aloy
Story looks and character design lack any inspiration, character talks too much hate when they talk to themselves, combat looks stiff and Janky as hell. Nothing really stands out.
Another manly female protagonist, fail.
A cheaper Kena.
looks really boring. easy pass on this one
I realyy wish theyr playing easy mode in this demo
zzzzzz This looks so boring.
Really mediocre souls like.
Looks polished but boring
its smell like a dead game
Kena: Bridge of Spirits clone 🙂
Kena doesnt own this genre lmao.
As soon as I saw the graphics and gameplay, I was not interested.
It's another souls game. Might as well play dark souls.
This game looks really cheap and the constant talking to herself is a solid pass
