I get lash extensions and I always schedule my appointment for the end of the day when the shop is empty and my lash lady will shut the music off and lights will be dimmed and she sits right above my head and has to get really close to see my eyes so it’s like the best unintentional asmr just so many breathy sounds and whispers 😴
My friend owns a salon and in the room they wash hair in, it's got relaxing music, low lights, and a huge screen with a fish tank displayed on it. Getting a head massage in that room was the most intense asmr I've ever experienced it was AMAZING
I went to a hairdresser once (icono im Berlin, Germany) where they wash your hair while you're getting a back massage in an automatic massage seat. I fell asleep halfway through!

Not me! I’m still afraid of hairbrushes bc of the way she brushed my hair😂😂. She started brushing my forehead and ended on my neck. And don’t ever complain or she would whack you with it 😂😂😂 honestly my mom is a sweet lady!!! But definitely no tingles from her hair brushing.

Practice, practice, practice! I now can do my cat eye eyeliner standing in the subway, and there put my mascara even with my left hand.. I just hated so much wasting free time at home before going to work that I prefered to do it on my way there in the subway.. Human adaptation hahaha.. On the other hand I'm not sure I could do a good job of putting it on another person even standing still in a calm environment just in front of me!

I remember as a little kid in elementary school there was a lice outbreak so everyone had to get checked by the school nurses for lice. They wore gloves and went through your hair with their fingers and I thought I had died and gone to heaven 😂 l faked feeling itchy a couple times to have to go get checked 😂 So Maria combing through the hair reminded me of that

Yes! Plus, it makes it sound like it's raining! (I know because when I was a young teen I went a lot to the theater with my grandma and my sister and one was a kind of oniric drama, circus inspired by the grandson of Charlie Chaplin James Thiérré I think, and at the end as we applauded he asked us to stop and just tap on our fingers and it made that sound!)

She is the original and the best. ASMR has wandered off into some strange notion that all anyone has to do is role-play literally anything loudly and label it that. There is no such thing as “ASMR to wake you up“, or “exhilarating ASMR to get you pumped up.” The whole point of it is to make you sleepy, and that’s all, folks.

(I know because when I was a young teen I went a lot to the theater with my grandma and my sister and one was a kind of oniric drama, circus inspired by the grandson of Charlie Chaplin James Thiérré I think, and at the end as we applauded he asked us to stop and just tap on our fingers and it made that sound!)

She is the original and the best. ASMR has wandered off into some strange notion that all anyone has to do is role-play literally anything loudly and label it that. There is no such thing as “ASMR to wake you up“, or “exhilarating ASMR to get you pumped up.” The whole point of it is to make you sleepy, and that’s all, folks.
