Thanks for showing us around this interesting town. I have never been there myself. It would be great for tourism if they could get some steam excursions utilising that railway line!"
Some more beautiful houses and artwork there, Willie😊. I loved The Lavender House. The food you ate looked a bit like our Scottish "mince 'n' tatties" (mince and potatoes) which some people like to eat in a roll or between pieces of bread! Not me though, I eat it the traditional way.. on a plate 😂.
I thought you might enjoy this town, Sheila! It is wonderful to stroll along the gravel roads and take in the art and architecture. The Lavender House stood out for sure. I've never heard of the dish you described there, but I'm also a plate man if I have the chance! The vetkoek I had was magnificent value at R35. Have a great day!
Another amazing Video. i have never been to Fauresmith, but after watching this, next time we road trip, this little town will definitely be on our places to see list.
Hello my friend so nice to hear from you. Are you still in the UAE? Glad to hear you enjoy these videos, it is great for me to travel to places in my own country that I've never been to.
Great video willie as much on the previous video it does has an Australian feel about it especially the scenery very interesting ideal location and much alike. It has been completed how many comparisons are demonstrating not as old times when first discovered but also has indentation to see what formalities they achieved or developed to make the town how it is today. Thank you for visiting this place for others to view and information about certain specific places that often covered by others!
Standard Bank gebou gehou!
Dis nes jy daar noem! Klink my jy geniet die Vrystaat-videos vanuit 'n nostalgiese perspektief. Groete daar in Hong Kong!
Hi Willie what an interesting and arty town. I wonder how their train systems were running back in the day., very unique with the locomotive on display and train track in the town😊
Great video, Willie! Interesting factoid (not sure if you mentioned this, I might have missed it) - In the 19th century, Fauresmith was briefly considered as the capital of the Orange Free State Republic but lost to Bloemfontein by just one vote. So ja, things could have been different...
Thanks as always for watching and contributing, Jasper! Yes, I did mention the close vote, though my sources claim it was two votes. But nonetheless, it was heartbreakingly close for Fauresmith!
Hi , I like your trips. I would appreciate it if you could just announce the number of White residents living in every town,in those small sorts of towns. Thank you.
Hi Leo, thanks for watching and supporting my channel! Demographic details are always tricky to find, including timely (and accurate!) census data. So even if I do mention demographic data, it might not always be correct.
A very interesting looking destination... Thanks for taking us along... Lekker man lekker 🤙🏻🇿🇦
