Yeah, "Nemo" was a cool produced video, as was the official "Wish I had an Angel" both by Tarja. For me "Bye Bye Beautiful" was just weird. Much preferred "Amaranth" and even "Storytime" videos by Anette (I can't seem to find the "Scaretale" video anymore - it was awesome). "Elan" and "Noise" were both by Floor - great videos. We all have faves though!
You know what it is when he's twirling his drumsticks? He's passing time during the rests. He timed it to keep his hands busy waiting for the next note, instead of simply sitting there. Keeps his momentum going...
I've seen Kai doing this. Pounding away with one hand and both feet, gently twirling one stick. Totally relaxed.

@@joseacevedo8314 Nope, Kai has stated, that he must learn all those Jukka's tricks =) I really like Kai, but oh man, how I miss Jukka. He had such great awareness, how to make it sound great. Just listen to these songs. He rarely does anything that sounds super complicated, and he doesn't use that much speed either, but drums are always 100% correct. I never got the feeling, that I hoped he had done something different, like different fill or beat. Jukka was a big part of NW soul.

I won't say Jukka is better than Kai but he's more fun to watch and definitely more energetic and knows how to hype the crowd

At this point Floor has been with the band for about 10 months. Yeah, they’re having fun. Floor completes them. The band is pure perfection. If you look at previous performances without Floor you will not see this level of enjoyment. 😄🤘
Skeeze is dead right, Floor is the embodiment of Nightwish, even to the point that the whole is now greater than the sum of the parts.
Before Floor and Troy joined you could see and feel the tension in the band. Now you can see they actually enjoy performing, and are having a blast.

@@chdwrk She started singing with them Oct 2012. Wacken was Aug 2013 and she officially joined the band Oct 2013 and ever since then all has been right with the world. I should say my world as I don’t watch the news. 😜🤘

Yes, he was probably pretty annoyed about that at the time, but what else you can expect. Finding Nemo came out year before. I'm almost sure, that Tuomas did that on purpose. He has said, that this song was basically a page from his diary at those times, but I'm sure he got inspiration for the title from that movie.
When I first heard it, I immediately had the picture of something, that is moving through the deep oceans, even without knowing the name of the song. And when I heard, that it's called Nemo, I rather felt a connection to Jules Verne than to Disney.

This song was originally performed by Tarja Turunen their first vocalist. Watch the video for I Wish I Had an Angel .That's the song that put Nightwish on the map.
Hardly, perhaps to an even wider audience, but it's not like they weren't small before that song came out.
And Floor took it to another lever , as much as i love Tarja as fellow finnish. Floor is best thing happened to Nightwish
New on youtube as of today, so on this channel as well. 63 years old and retired. I'm from Holland and have been a fan of Floor since I saw After Forever first time in my hometown at Paaspop in 2002, also saw them in 2005 and 2007. Relativ new to Nightwish after I found out Floor joined them. Saw Nightwish live once with Tarja. I liked her voice but not her stage presents, so never went to see them again and all forgot about Nightwish. Glad to be back now with Floor and Nightwish. Like your reaction a lot. Can't wait to see more.

The entire set list from the Wacken 2013 concert is absolutely amazing as it runs through many of the different sounds from the band, and that is because they have Floor who can sing anything they want and in any style they need!!! Those 82,000+ fans were truly treated to a concert that night that will be in the top 3 of their lifetime I am sure. This is truly a great LIVE band that has real musicians who seem to be at a party up there having a blast and the crowd just happened to drop by to crash that party. Great reaction as is par for the course and great to see you still are amazed by each new song from the group.!!

Nemo is one of their most emblematic songs, they were already large but back in 2005 this song just make them blow all over the world, specially in America (like the whole continent, not only US) and made them known worldwide, it was actually the first song I heard from them back when I was in highschool...

Back in the days, i came into contact with Nightwish through this song. I didn't know the band before this song was released. It came in the radio in Germany quite often and was in the charts for some time.

This song and performance has made me cry in the past. I just watched this while sitting on the bus and got all teary. The lyrics, music, Floor's voice; the combination melts me. One of my favourites.
I sent this to a buddy of mine and now he’s binge listening to every album they have.
If you listen for m the beginning, the croud are singing along. But, they are chanting FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR at the point you asked! At that s concert she had only been in the band for a few months! This concert really solidified her as the permanent singer!
You guys are missing out on Ghost River where Marko + Floor kill it. Dark Chest of Wonders, the concert opener, is a kick ass underrated song. 🤟🤟✌️✌️

When you think that Jukke, (the Drummer) had beeb suffering from chronic insomnia for years,(it was why he had to stop playing), that only makes Wacken more incredible!

My mistake. Thank you. I'm a big fan but I don't tend to heavily read up on bands I like.
These guys always have a lot of fun on stage, but if you caught in the beginning of the video, Emmpu was telling Troy of his little plan to mess with Floor.
If you watch the whole concert footage, after this song, he turns off Floor's monitors so she can't hear anything and has to "wing it"
She catches on after (you see her checking her pack on her back) and Emmpu has a giggle at his little prank

Fun fact: Nemo means "nothing" or "nameless" in Latin.
Actually, it means "nobody" or "No one". Famously used as a person own name as a way to grant himself anonimaty by greek mithogical hero Ulysses in the latin translation of The Oddissey and by the mysterious submarine captain in Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues under the sea".
Another fun fact: Anette Olzon named her second son Nemo:-)

I believed it is called "stick twirling" when former drummer, Jukka is doing during this song. Drum Corps has drummers doing this trick during Marching Band Competitions.
They are chanting the names of the performers.........Jukka, Jukka........etc.....
Its easy to fixate on Floor when shes out there, and who wouldnt, shes captivating, but its worthwhile to keep an eye on Jukka, who always played the drums like they owe him money, haha. Honestly every member of the band is so talented they would be the headliner in any other band.

Hey just FYI, if I remember correctly, wacken was in August 2013... Floor came on board when nightwish parted ways with Anette mid tour (oct2012) and Floor had to learn all the lyrics on the plane ride over... At the time of wacken she had been w them close to a year and wasn't even officially a member until oct 2013.
If you want to see Floor dance you should watch I Want My Tears Back, either from Wachen or from Decades - Buenos Aires, plus you get to hear Troy playing his pipes.
I saw them back in 2018. Im going again in may😃😃. Cant wait

Also see "Devil in the deep dark ocean", "I want my tears back", "Elan" and "Dead Boy's Poem" (Decades tour 2018 in Argentina). "Shudder before the Beaultiful" and "Alpenglow" (Wembley Arena). Have more! In another opportunity I pass the name of other songs of the band.
This is the song that introduced me to Nightwish back in ‘04. Loved them ever since!
In some songs in this 2013 concert you can hear she was searching her way. Seeing she was with nightwish 10 months or so, the songs not written (or changed much) for her, officially not even a band member and having a album come out with her own band a week or so after this. Amazing... Floor is..

This was a song that Nightwish made specificly for Tarja,and in all honesty,Tarja was the one that made me love that song back in the day. I guess i didnt know exactly how much i loved the song,until Floor came in singing it far more versatile. And just look at the guys! They have been playing this for over a couple of decades allready. Everyone is just all out smiles and full of energy playing it again,but with Floor by theyr side. I blame Floor for this,yes i do. She did this! *points at* Oooh,and meet Troy the multi instrumentalist! He only had guest apperances during this Wacken concert,but joined permanently a short while after Floor was confirmed as theyr new vocalist. Something tells me Troy had the offer from Tuomas and the guys open,but when he saw Floor arrive permanently he went: "Oh snap! I sure cant refuse theyr offer now! Im in boys n gals!". Floor and Troy has brought Nightwish into several dimensions higher then what they used to sound like. I just call Troy The Wizard of Nightwish,because he joins Tuomas as a creative songwriter,song composer,as well as playing just about every instrument he gets his hands on. He is the Prince of the Metal world. "How many instruments do you really play there,Troy? Troy: "Yes!". Dont quote me on that....its a inner joke going around with the Nightwish Army. Also...if you look closely,Troy looks abit similar to the Wizard in LOTR/The Hobbit named Radagast the Brown. 3:24 Suzi,remember me calling Jukka the most passionate showdrummer i have seen in awhile? That right there is a trick he used to do ALL the time,and never skipped a single beat while doing it,allways on point. Thats just some of the things he does btw. Also love his crowd interactions,he knows how to get the crowd going! And he loves interacting with them too. I wish he is able one day to do a dual drum kit session with Kai on some Nightwish concerts. That would bring even more epicness into Nightwish! Suzi Que 2020: "Body surfs and stick spins"😏 You heard right btw,the crowd is roaring to the beat of the song. 6:14 Thats Tuomas realizing "Holy crap,i made the right choice in asking Floor to join! I knew she was a good singer,but not THAT GOOD!". Floor made even Tuomas smile on stage again.....bless her from every angle possible! 🥰 I believe Nemo was one if not the song that made it big internationally too,back in the day. It allways means something extra for the guys,theyr oldest songs that has been "through it all" with them. And of course when Floor puts her stamp on them,they cant help but feel excited and happy.

Suzi, Travis......Great reaction to the iconic " Nemo " ! This a very special song, the first Nightwish song I ever heard. It was the first taste for many non Europeans. It became popular in South or Central America and worked its way north. Nemo means nothing or no one in Latin. The song says ....I will be no one forever. Love the lyrics, " Oh how I wish for soothing rain. All I wish is to dream again. Listen to the acoustic cover by Floor and Troy.....Beautiful !

Love the Nightwish reaction vids! I just found them this year and they're legit one of the best things that's ever happened to me! You guys should also check out/react to some of their songs with their original vocalist, Tarja Turunen, particularly Nemo and Wish I Had An Angel.
I think you guys would dig Eluveitie. "Rebirth" is probably going to be one of the most requested, but I like "Call of the Mountains" as an introduction. It is a different lead singer than "Rebirth" so keep that in mind. "A Rose for Epona" should also be put on the list.
"Nemo" was the first Nightwish song I ever heard, and for me it's one of those songs where, anytime I hear the first few notes, the entire song plays in my head instantly. Come to think of it, "Ghost Love Score" and "Ever Dream" have the same effect. Great reaction !

"Nemo" is a classic from the Tarja era and I think part of the fun of the band was having it sung well again, plus seeing the crowd response.
Jukka Nevalainen is twirling... his drum sticks, like the baton girls in marching bands...? Others has probably said it before, but I can't cross check 200 comments on my mobil.
A completely different Nightwish - Yes. If you have a look at Bye Bye Beautiful you will see another completely different Nightwish. Because of all these different styles it's rather difficult to put Nightwish in a specific box and say that they are playing this or that kind of music. Instead, people just call it "The Nightwish Gengre"
It's very enjoyable to see your reactions so keep it going, I don't know the exact number but Nightwish has more than a hundred songs in their playlist, it can keep you going for years.

I think they all are flipping happy in part because of Floors interpretation, even Tuomas. I mean it was so long since they played Nemo with such good vocals. Floor just joined them during that tour, not very long before that show

Nemo was the first song I heard from them many many years ago and instantly fell in love with their sound, Tarja's voice was so angelic and mesmerizing, along with her gothic doll face, perfect combination, now with Floor is like a breath of fresh air, this one is slightly heavier, faster, but I love both versions

I love the sound of Tarja singing Nemo, but I also love the emotional feeling of Floor singing (and Troy brings so much to this song!). Be amazing to hear them sing it together. But, both are amazing.
Have you seen "Tuomas Holopainen - A Lifetime of Adventure?" This is something he did in collaboration with Don Rosa. While the rest of the band isn't present, it's impressive work.
