i hear you! iv got a master magnum m15 that im sure hates me lol it was in my first care package and i still cant get it picked and there is no key ,funny part is i was also sent a couple challenge locks and i got them picked and the other locks that came in the box just not this one lol but i will not give up! lol
Nice picking Ash. Have you watched a lock picker by the name of ..YABENDE ..this bloke is AMAZING. The locks this bloke picks open are all Apsolutely TOP SHELF locks That i only dream to have. Most locks take him about 20 minutes to pick open but man wait to you see the quality of his locks he is picking open is just CRAZY and he Guts them to see the insides. I didn't think it was possible BUT he makes LOCK PICKING LAWYER look like an Novice..just apsolutely BRILLIANT PICKER scary good amazing really. We have all got many many hours years of practice to even get close i hope one day MAYBE !! not .lol
Impressive pick Ash! Always enjoy tuning in and learning. You're explanations and demos are second to none sir! Thanks as always 👍👍
Thank you and happy new year!
That video was so educational. The real gem for me was you demonstrating how the picks reach the pins and the marking of the pick for each pin. This video is worth its weight in gold for those new to lock sport (like me). Thanks
I was so inspired by this video I wanted to try and find a way of learning how to reach each pin on a euro lock. So I took all the springs and driver pins out of my cut away practice euro lock and rotated the core so that the tops of the key pins could be seen through the cut aways.
Now I can see exactly what is happening to the pins as I try and lift them with different picks - really really helpful as a euro was a complete mystery to me.
Great Lock! Nice demo of persistence. There is just nothing like tight tolerances, and good spools.
Agreed! Happy new year!

:D
Lol, well, you got me there!
An excellent pick, sir. What a beast of a lock. Added bonus, finally i understand the how and why of "anti-bump keys". Never seen/heard it actually explained. Thank you.
Thanks!
Wow! What a beast of a lock! But moreover - what a great video! The gutting segment was not only interesting, but very informative and educational, giving a really good explanation of how the lock works, and also how lock picking works.
I've starting doing a bit of picking here and there for the last few months, but as yet haven't attempted to gut a lock (as I don't yet have the required tools, or the patience!).
The segment at the very end where you showed the pick and the key in the empty lock cylinder was very interesting too - giving a great insight into exactly what you're doing with the pick, as well as how the key fits in. Definitely one of the most informative lock picking video's I've seen yet.
Great video - well done. Happy New Year.
Thank you and happy new year!
What an awesome lock, great security features with Ruko style bitting. Great explanations on what you needed to do to pick this lock, thanks for your honesty, excellent picking mate. A Happy New Year to you and your family, cheers
And to you! Happy new year!
the one i picked was one of the hardest "standard" locks iv ever picked. took me ages to get it worked out
I’m glad someone else agrees it’s not easy!
Quite a challenge. Well done. Happy and Prosperous 2022!
Thank you and happy new year!
@@LockNoob Thank you.
Can hear your missus carving the turkey in the background 😉🤣🤣
Yeah, it was still frozen at the time.
Lol
That was impressive. You made that look 10 times easier than it is. Great explanation aswell. 👏 👍
Thank you and happy new year!
Awesome picking as always, great tip with making the pin positions, many thanks as always
Thanks 🙏
good thing you had the key, so you knew the bitting while picking it, and knew about the overset trap with pin 3 and 4
Absolutely! I also practice nearly every lock a few times before shooting too; it’s a hobby to me, so I don’t pretend I could reasonably pick a lot of these high security locks irl without a lot more time 🙂
Jeez!!! No WONDER you were wearing away the metal on the bottom from picking. You have to go at that thing like crazy to get it open. Good video!!
Thanks 🙏
Nicely picked on one tuff lock.
Thanks 🙏
That was so frightening that I had to look away within the first two minutes.
I think I did too 😅😅
Great pick ! HAPPY NEW YEAR.👍
Thank you and happy new year!
Awesome job ash mate well done👍😊🇬🇧😎👊
Happy new year Leon!
Nice work 👏 impressive pick
Thank you and happy new year!
great pick!!!
Thanks 🙏
Hey Ash, when you have overstated key pins, do find it helpful to do a rip with a half diamond?
Happy New Year Mate!
I hardly ever use a half diamond. I’ll have to try!
I have a Burg Wächter padlock that takes a euro in a similar way, and I made the fatal mistake of putting a GeGe into it. Mistake, because I'm decades away from ever being able to pick it. It isn't a pExtra; not sure what model it is but the bitting looks like a mountain range, and it's thoroughly despicably evil. I can't even begin to imagine how badly a pExtra would embarrass me. Excellent locks.
Sweet! A nice long one!
Thank you and happy new year!
@@LockNoob you too!
Hi I recently noticed that the external side of my pextra gaurd eurocylinder was feeling notchy and slightly catching. Upon closer view the edges of the keyway entrance appear deformed / seem filed down or worn from forced entry attempt and there are marks/scuffs around the cylinder forming a circular shape. Im suspecting this was a bump key attempt. Do these symptoms suggest this and how difficult would this cylinder be to bump? Thanks in advance
I have 2 kaba kik cylinders keyed different, one more extreme than the other but both with the anti bump top pin with a heavy duty steel spring which I believe it works as anti pick also imo
Why always pick euro cylinders upside down? Theyre mounted here with the small part of the core pointing down.
Preference, plus they are often the other way up in commercial buildings. More common than people think
How much would you say you enjoy lock picking 1/10
On a good day 10/10, but there are those other days lol 😂
(taking notes for next challenge lock...)
😄👍
Sorry, just to clarify for the village idiot that lives inside my head, when the pick is on the pin, its corresponding marking is flush with....? I mean, it's a brilliant idea - one of my biggest problems is finding the pins. I'm forever trying to pick warding. The only way I can ever be 100% sure of where I am in a lock is with a decoder of some kind.
He took it out of the padlock cuz he got weak hands
It’s true, I even had to ask a friend to type this for me in case I bruise my fingers
