I have a friend who only knew about harry potter only from the irl Lego sets and read the first book because his parents wouldn't let him watch the movies and we recently watch them all it was fun when a scene came up and he would reference to the Lego sets and that's pretty much it!
Honestly, that's how I learned about star wars lol
@@Eggboi3000 My first real exposure to most if not all of the Prequel and Original Trilogies were through the LEGO game.
Replaying this game on Windows 10 (the PC version I have was made for Windows XP yet still works) after seeing all of those, I understand more of the story since there's no dialogue.
But honestly, the lack of dialogue enhances at least the Prequels. And I've heard the opinion that the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan level of Revenge of the Sith and the Luke and Vader vs. Palpatine level in Return of the Jedi is better than the parts of the movie they were based on.
Co-op speedruns are always chaotic but after you look back you know you had a fun experience.

I'd love to watch yall do a 100% Speedrun!!! This game was a big part of my childhood and I could never figure out how to get all the minikits or the red bricks!!!!
You can "skip" the cutscenes by using the cheat engine speedhack feature, and speed up the game to the max speed during cutscenes, and then slow it down again during gameplay, though these Lego really should be played at 2x speed in general.
This brings me back to playing the Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga on the Wii. Such a good game.

I remember playing this before even watching the movies, I basically knew the plot based on this game. When I watched the movies for the first time I was like "Oh, here is when Obi wan and Anakin fight in the lava level".
Because the prequel lego games came before the prequel movies

@@archerelms It's actually true. Revenge of the Sith came out May 19th 2005, while the Lego Stars Wars game was released on March 29th 2005 for GBA and April 2 2005 for PC and XBOX. For a two month period, you could get the plot of Revenge of the Sith from the Lego games alone, and not the movies!

I just realized, this man plays through the entire game, memorizes speed running techniques, possibly practices them, and plays through the whole game AGAIN. This vid is 2 hours long! The dedication is very respectful

The speedrun is actually pretty easy to memorize, ~50% of the time is spent in cutscenes and most big skips are pretty easy

The level at 1:16:00 was probably the hardest level for my family to do, because we would always respawn at the beginning. We hated this level because of that.

Genuinely the most impressive part of this run to me was how easily they did the floor light puzzle on Kamino. I was always terrible at that puzzle.

Watching the cutscenes for these games honestly convey the plot of the prequels more clearly than the actual movies. I didn’t fully understand the stories of these movies until I played this game lmfao

I have this game on my iPad currently, and it’s a childhood memory.
I got it right when it released, and I don’t regret buying the full thing.

This game was released before Revenge of the Sith was released, so this game was the first look anyone got at the stuff in that movie.

They are correct within the statement that the Lego Star Wars franchise was released in three installments originally, however they didn't actually check the release dates. Lego Star Wars: The Video Game is the original Lego Star Wars game, released March 25th, 2005 for sixth generation consoles, and it did contain spoilers for the unreleased Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The official movie tie-in game, released May 4th, 2005, also contained spoilers for the movie that would be releasing to theatres about two weeks after the tie-in was released, releasing May 19th, 2005.
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy was released on sixth gen consoles on September 11th, 2006, whilst Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga was released November 6th, 2007 for seventh generation consoles, being a rerelease of the original games bundled onto a single disk with additional content added in that wasn't in the original games. So both Pi and Aiden are wrong here, but both in different ways.
Pi was correct about the game spoiling the movie, but isn't correct phrasing it like The Complete Saga was the game that came out before Revenge of the Sith was in theatres. This is just as how Aiden is correct about the Complete Saga being the third and complete installment into the Lego Star Wars franchise, but isn't correct about when the original game was released.
Just a friendly heads up if Aiden or Pi sees this, Wikipedia will do you wonders since I got all the important information with two google searches and it all came from there. Easily citable sources and you have a reliable way of accessing easy information to prove simple facts like release dates.

I looked up "should I put milk in my eyes" as a bit and apparently the fat in milk helps with eye burning if you put a drop it in but if you do it too much you can get clouded eyesight. EazySpeezy taught me something useful(?) that had nothing to do with speedrunning today.

When i was YOUNG i had the DOS CDs of the Original Trilogy and the Prequels, not the Complete Saga. There were no power pellets in those versions from what I remember.

You should try Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. It’s an amazing game with and you could do a game speedrun and 100% completion (if you want). Keep up the good work!
