The gatekeeper of heaven asks “what good works have you done that are worthy of giving you entry into heaven? Luke’s answer is “I built the Pellew”. And others.... The gatekeeper replies “you may enter”.
I will be looking forward to seeing this boat race the Tally Ho when Leo Goolden finishes restoring it. I just saw him finish the deck strakes (beautiful Alaskan Yellow Cedar) and a month earlier fitting his new 8 ton ballast keel which is 3 tons heavier than the original. I think he'll be able to put on enough sail to beat you!
Not better, just different! (says she who lives on a narrowboat but is hoping the rails don't melt this week and stop her getting to Mallaig to join the Pellew for 10 days!!)
Thanks to Leo Sampson I got regular updates on Pellew as it was being built. It is wonderful to see it under sail.
Great to see Pellew under way - a beautiful vessel that will give freedom and pleasure to many!
So she's all up and running then. What a fantastic Pilot Cutter. Looking forward to being crew in the near future.
What a lovely vessel ,many thanks ⛵

Wow, that looks great. Better than a narrow boat holiday.
