Dark souls logic. You can beat literal gods but also die to basic rats
Bruh he didn't die they just catched him
@@carnifex17 the analogy still works 😂
Plot armor wasn't doing its job before with the other Jedi, so it has to step in at the last minute lol.
How so... they made a good distraction nothing more... he killed all the bugs.
@@Gantali9305 it was just a joke, don't read too much into it.

I mean all the bugs died so.....
Fuckin' hell, man, did you SEE the size of those bugs?1 Absolutely terrifying!!!
No but seriously, I agree lol
Only dude can save the show now

Nothing can save this show
The Empire was defeated by a bunch of teddy bears. Jar Jar Binks clumsily took out a tank. This is on par with Star Wars
A squadron of stormtroopers was defeated by teddy bears. Luke defeated the empire of corse with the assistance of Vader in the throne room and Han in his ship destroying the battle station itself
Edit: Lando not Han
@@tvvistedv3nom26 The Death Star was destroyed after the Ewoks defeated the stormtroopers at the protective shield, otherwise the ground station would not have been destroyed. Han and Chewie were with the Ewoks. Lando flew the Falcon.
@@tvvistedv3nom26 You typed that like it rebutted his comment.
A battalion of heavy armored and with space lazers and walking tanks was beaten by furry midgets with rocks, it is laughable and when RoTJ came out bitter fans like you were mad about it then too, because the only thing more star wars than Acolyte is the toxic minority of fans pissing on it like it offended their mother.
@@oli-barelin You’re right I forgot it was Lando lol
By teddy bears you mean creatures that where going to eat a wookiee.... Just because they are cute doesn't mean they can't throw boulders their size.
Dude probably was just worn down from all of the intense fighting throughout the episode and was no longer performing at his best
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thats ... actually a good point.. he did just kill like 6 jedi... even vader would be tired after that.
@@Gantali9305Vader's actually been worn out from fighting one Jedi alone in some cases, remember his duel with Cere.
That's also why Qui-Gon died. Luckily he had a short time to meditate and gain some new energy, but without the help of Obi-Wan he couldn't hold up to Maul anymore.
@@Burning-Twilight I just played through that the other day! I like to think Vader was just tired of me throwing Cere at him for the 136th time on grandmaster before he finally quit lol
He turned 2 jedis into a shish kebab
There was a large swarm of bugs. It makes sense. When people talk about power dynamics they don’t make sense. Especially since he did kill the bugs that took him.
To be fair, the bugs dont follow Power Rangers foot soldier rules when fighting
He's trained to kill Jedi. He knows all their moves and tactics. He's likely not familiar with the bugs at all.
Plus, they caught him completely off-guard and surrounded him from all sides. The reason he was able to Force push all the Jedi away was because he anticipated them and he had time to charge up his Force push. He didn't anticipate the swarm.
Plot armor disappeared for a second
Someone had to turn it off and on again to get it working
Ok but to be fair for a second he probably felt really badass in that helmet, like honestly I feel the same when wearing my coat and ski mask in the winter
Gives extra endurance points or something xD
İts the helmet. İts his precious. His plot armor.
To quote Robot Chicken, “What a twist!”
“A sItH l0rD?!!?!!”
"You have the trappings of a Sith, you fight like a Sith, but you are NO Sith Lord!" - Count Dooku to Asajj Ventress
Pretty sure it's an old SW/Lucas trope that at some point the "Big Bad" faces a setback due to "nature" or the "Underdog" ... Think Ewoks against Imperial forces on Endor! Goofy? Yes, But does it keep the story moving? Yes again!
OSHA defeated a saber user without using a weapon… ;)
Which is why I think she is the true acolyte now.
Darth revan and other sith would say: You're not worthy to become one of the sith order
Him head bashing a fucking lightsaber was hot LOL
Well to be fair dooku got captured by a bunch pirates and he couldve zapped them all if wanted to
Like a soldier being taken out by Care Bears.
To Disney this makes sense somehow.
He literally just fought 7 Jedi at once. Explain how it`s hard to belive that he might have been a bit tired after that?
@@Morten_Storvik He defeated four of the Jedi quickly and then it looks like he was toying with the remaining three.
@@SPARTAN22294 You did not answer the question.
@@Morten_Storvik I don't think he was tired.
Quimir actually was not defeated by the bugs as we see him a little later and he is ok.
Exactly
my headcanon for this is that he wanted to regain the element of surprise for the next engagement with the Jedi
when I saw the bugs grab him the first thing I thought was “Disney ass death”
He definitely underutilized the force in this battle, almost like he doesn't know a lot. But, it could also be possible that he was using his force energy to increase his speed, strength, and stamina in this battle, so who knows.
He was taken by surprise.
Darth Malgus defeat requirements: An army of soldiers, A jedi grand master all fighting as hard as they can and they just barely survive.(alderaan cinematic)
Disney sith defeat requirements: large moth.
Those cinematic are built different. Who would have thought that the best star wars fight scenes would be an ad for a game.
He got the Kang treatment
Best character in the show
Its literally the ONLY good character in the show, so yeah, no shit
@@seynpurrpWhat about Sol?
And Jecki@@Burning-Twilight
If you played Fallen Order, you'd know that giant bugs are not to be trifled with.
An in universe explanation....the bugs had the high ground 😂
its probably because he was just defeated and too tired to use the force
Like this a no brainier, he literally spent the entire day killing & fighting Jedis.
Clearly, the umbramoths were dark-siders, too, and better trained.
His biceps weighed him down.
To be fair, surprise is everything; Palpatine sure as hell would have been able to blitz a wounded ROTJ Vader if he didn't get the jump on him
In the writers room over the door it says "...so the story can happen"
Still this makes more sense than Darth Vader vs Rocks
may be the bugs were force users too...
It’s a bit rich, but noice 👌
he should've been swarmed and distracted. not carried away lol.
He didn't die by the bugs we saw him survive at the end but yeah he should have escaped the bugs lol
We also know how he might die already with all the emphasis on Mae and her trying to get the Jedi's lightsaber in each fight. I think that might be how they take him down.
no sith lord is stronger than the plot
The bugs don't defeated him. Have you ever heard of fatigue? Just because someone is a "Sith" (even though he didn't call himself a Sith) doesn't mean he's invincible. He used a helmet and forearm guards against the Jedi. Anyway, Sol beat him in the end. The power of a Sith is not infinite, only Palpatine believed so, but he was on another level. The bugs only held him up for a little while. Anyway, the series is not famous for its good script.
He killed all the bugs??? They had him, for a moment. I fail to see the cherry-picking reason here
It’s a piece of plot armor
It's super consistent with what the show is exploring though, he says himself "steel and lasers are no threat to a jedi" and Mae is unable to defeat any jedi without a weapon, so it's not implausible that he falls prey to an OSHA VIOLATION!
I mean, he faked his lose to get Osha, so....
Good logic
Here is why: "Now at this point, wouldn't be cool if she puts a light on his back and the bugs swoop in and take him away?!!" "Yeah that would be totally awesome!!!"
Zero deep thought went into this show.
Honestly I can see this happening on a game or something. People downplay the threat as they are “moths” or what have you, but they are *big* and can probably bite your head off
Well, I'd say it's because he knows the moves of the Jedi; Studied them so he could have the upper hand at all times, but with the giant bugs it was more difficult because they are wild creatures and can be seen as unpredictable.
You could make the argument that he could've used the force to detect them like Osha could but that would be reading into it too much 😂
Everything as the force wills it lol😂
Oh, that's what the "force is female" means, she was talking about the writer lol.
It’s a why for the Jedi to get away remember there is plot armor
You have to remember, Qimir wasn't preparred for a bunch of bugs to attack him, and he wasn't defeated by them, only delayed enough, for the others to escape.
You forgot HOW he beat all those Jedi, he has a special force power to get into their heads, as Yord mentioned.
The bugs minds were obviously too primitive or too alien for him to enter so he couldn't make them hesitate or mess up. I'll wager if he can be denied the power to get into his opponent's head he wont be so badass with the blade.
His abilities was on cooldown.
It was the helmet that gave him power
Yes, like in Space Balls.
If he can't use Force Lightning he's not a Sith, he's just a wannabe Sith.
People see a halfway passable lightsaber fight and really want to act like they were blown away. 😑
I actually find the acolyte more than most people, but I find it really weird that Osha tells Sol to not kill Qimir, and then she straps a light to him, with the intent to kill him
zygerrian slave owner: now master kenobi, i know a jedi won't kill an unarmed man
rex: i'm no jedi
Ohhhhh Dip!
Bro was buggin out😂
As skilled as he was, fighting 7 Jedi aggressively for an extended period of time would likely take a toll on anyone's stamina. If he was at peak fighting capacity, the bugs probably won't last more than a few seconds.
Though on a surface level, it does seem stupid that some natural forest bugs can give trouble to a Dark Side user, unless there's some OP lore behind the bugs
Same things as Kang in ant man
At least when he stabbed a Jedi, he stabbed them in a vital area, not in the side of the abdomen where there’s a higher survival rate
Me in Jedi survivor when I’m out of stims
One the fans call him Darth Teeth, but I call him Darth Sharptooth and also I call him The Copycat Of Sith Stalker aka Darth Starkiller!
Darth Dentist
Smilo Ren
Why did I think that was Ezra Miller in the thumbnail 💀
Assaj ventress called herself a sith in 2003 clonewars only for dooku to torture her and humiliate her. Non sith call themselves sith all the time.
Poor writing is way stronger than any force user
I don't agree with this opinion whatsoever. Fighting another person is at least predictable. You ever have a big ass bug fly near your ear? For something so small, it's SO loud and disorienting. It triggers an immediate panic reaction in us to get this thing as far away from our ears/faces as possible. Now imagine that, but now the bugs are almost as large as you are. As soon as they started swarming in on him, he would have been deafened to anything other than the flapping of those gigantic wings, not to mention some of the wings likely smacking him in the face, not to mention the bugs's actual legs grabbing him, maybe some biting him.
The dude was immediately overwhelmed by an influx of sensory distractions from every angle, and there were enough of these bugs to immediately replace any he could kill. Does it look a little bit goofy having a sith guy get carried away by bugs? Yeah sure. Is it hard to believe? I don't think so?
Could be he was a little surprised and disgusted by those bugs and didn't want to touch them at first but instinct kicked in and he decided to concentrate on them. He might be what we would call Sith but he's still humanoid and might have a fear of bugs🤔and they were swarming pretty good.
Sheer numbers and hyperspecialization. There's not a whole lot you can do in a mosh pit where the guys grabbing at you have no sense of self preservation. Cut down as many as you want, they're gonna get their hands on you eventually. Which was exactly what happened here - Qimir cut his way loose with enough time but he had to work through every bug that came, not just the ones "brave enough to step forward".
Compare with the Jedi where he was clearly using Dun Moch to disrupt their connection to the Force mid fight. It left them basically drunk in their movements, disrupted in a way they didn't expect or know how to deal with and unable to effectively coordinate. Was also the difference between Jecki and Sol's coordination later when they knew how to combat that. The Sith are VERY good at fighting Jedi - especially unprepared Jedi - but they're going to struggle against certain other things. Sheer numbers have always been effective against all but the most absurdly powerful of Force users (Vader, Revan, Palpatine being among the handful of exceptions) and it was the entire idea behind why Order 66 was so effective, even against the handful of Jedi who sensed it coming.
Oh, come on. Star Wars has always been goofy like that
Two things that are both possibilities and probably a combination of both are that he lost the element of surprise and also felt fatigued after fight so many Jedi
And there were probably other factors as well
If have again the feeling, that this show could have had so much potential like all the others before...
Jason is the Sith Lord?!
What bugs me the most is the fact that they exploited that rule that forbids turning on and off your lightsaber during a duel, a move he was forced to use against a single padawan after wiping out an entire group of jedi
Or maybe he was simply a bit tired after fighting 7 Jedi at once.....
What do you expect from SPACE WITCH writers?
I think the answer to who this Qimir is lies in the opening intro where it says something like, "they risk exposing everything in the name of revenge". I think the real master is gonna beat Qimirs @$$ for almost exposing the sith
Logic is not something the acolyte deals with often but they did explain that. He could get into the Jedis' minds. Their movements were predictable to him. The bugs are not. It took him by surprise.
Also it's normal. Imagine you are the greatest kungfu master in the world. You are standing across from your arch rival and ready to fight him in a battle for the ages. You start approaching him... getting in his head... Going to counter every move... Round house kick him in the face...
Suddenly your pants are filled with a horde of 30 angry hamsters!!!!
Atleast for the next 20 seconds that Kung Fu grand master is just another dude with hamsters down his pants. They all react the same way. No kungfu is gonna even come to your mind.
The sith guy says that the helmet stops the Jedi from reading his thoughts, so... it would also stop the him from reading the Jedi's thoughts.
@viperstriker4728 Nahhh... he was probably just being a smartass and making a tin-foil hat joke...
@@casadelosperrosstudio200 lol, one of the joys of bad writing. You never know if your suppose to take a character seriously, or if the entire show is just a joke.
this shit happens all the time in star wars who cares😂
I'm curious if he's in anyway connected to Darth Plagus. He seems like a BadAss Sith lord
Yeah, kind of seems familiar like ROTJ like Stormtroopers that are trained by the Empire get defeated by teddy bears. I mean ewoks. I mean come on rocks and Spears. They might as well be crushing them with hopes😅
Am I the only one who was annoyed that the second most capable fighter of the jedis was the teen padawan?
Yeah, but most of those Jedi didn’t have names, so they count as real threats. You have to be a main cast member to last more than 3 seconds in a fight.
ya fighting 7 jedis for several minutes doesnt do anything to stamina, and there are plenty of creatures that are force resistant.
Force resistance is a pretty big deal. The Ysalamir become the center of the plot for 3 of the best star wars books for being force resistant. I can only think of 2 or 3 others off the top of my head.
Dude Jar Jar exists, and you're telling me this is goofy? The show has a lot of probelms, but people are complaining about the wrong things
This complaint seems a bit too nitpicky for my tastes. Like yeah, it’s a bit weird but come on. It’s nothing crazy.
It's so obvious duh. He got a 200% debuff when he lost the mask.
How did a bunch of Clones manage to kill Jedi during Order 66 despite them being aber to block blastershots and having faster reflexes and foresight? Overwheming force and constant pressure. The guy can't cover himself completely in a 360° angle all the time and he had the flashlight attached to him while also waving a giant glowstick trying to fight them off, both of which attracted even more of the bugs directly towards him (and remembering the scene from the episode before, there were a LOT of bugs sticking to those trees).
Plus... evil tyrants with overwhelming power being defeated by primitive species or forces of nature is pretty on-brand for Star Wars.
How bout needing concentration with the force before using it on the bugs. Surely him being carried made it harder for him.
It's Kang in Antman
He wasn't really defeated more so delayed or distracted
