Hello mam..if we put soil sample in straight than what about the equation?

If we put soil sample horizontally straight then there is no difference in head between two points A n B ....so there is no flow of water so kinetic head will zero....but we put sample vertically straight then eq. Will be same ,,,, only the difference is that velocity of water will increase from A to B ....as we tilt it more
