How to make certain clones damage other clones?

If hit the clone button twice, it doubles the amount of clones currently in existence, instead of just the main sprite. How can I change this?
I fixed this issue by making a new variable called "og sprite" and then set that to 1 by default, but set it to 0 right before cloning, so the clone will have it set to 0. Then, before cloning, add an "if" block which checks if the "og sprite" is 1. That way, the clones, which have it set to 0, will not run the cloning script.
@@thomassankaramyprecious okay so I learned that the problem comes from cloning the sprite using a "when ____ key pressed" block. Nothing else does this, only that specific block

If you make the variable for this sprite only on the sprite you want to have the health, then no.
