I use a 144hz device. Today I used the iphone 15 and yes it is quite noticeable and a deal breaker for me especially at 80k price point.
Finally someone who can explain nicely, without sugar coating.
One of the reasons why your channel has become one of my favorites to watch tech reviews on is the balanced and sensible take you have on things. The explanation on the importance of personal requirements and differentiation between phone models was spot on. Looking forward to the 15 Pro review.
Currently have a OnePlus 8 Pro thinking of upgrading but 60Hz just concerns me a lot, the only reason I am willing to pay extra for the 15 pro.
Apples marketing strategy😆😏
Solution so you don't have any concerns anymore don't buy an Iphone stick to android
Upgraded from a 13 Pro Max to a 15 Plus and I flat out like it better! Feels so much better/better balanced, and has the features I use without paying for features I won’t. The anti-aliasing for the 60hz display is fantastic. Of course I notice it’s not 120hz. I don’t care at all. It does NOT matter. I can’t put it down.
I currently have the iPhone 14 Plus with 128gb in product red. I’m very satisfied with my iPhone. I won’t be upgrading until the iPhone 17 plus comes out!
There are reports on various tech blogs that iPhone 16 plus model will be the last plus model and there might be no plus model in future
I watched only 2 videos from you and subscribed. Your review is very genuine and you did not push your thoughts on viewers. You are talking about important features unlike other reviewers. I loved when you said buy a phone for what we love want (personal priorities) and not for what other features we may not need personally. True review. Loads of love and wish you all the best!
I get your point about priorities and I take my decisions based on that only. But I feel the base flagship model of any Brand nowadays should be what they can make best for the average user. My POV is : a Pro/Ultra phone is for powerusers/people who need some particular additional functionalities over the Regular flagship. But the regular Model should not be seen as a cut down version of the Pro/Ultra. Because it's simple : the regular model should be the default. This is why it's hard for me to justify a 60Hz display in 2023. It's simply not fair to consumers as 120 Hz is the default.
I think Samsung makes the most sense while placing their models. The S23 has everything you need. The S23+ is just bigger and the Ultra is the max they can offer. And, the FE is the cut down version of the regular flagship. Apple on the other hand, I feel doesn't have much features to differentiate between the base models and the Pro models. Using previous year's chip is not a problem at all but why do they have to do that, why do they have to cut down on the refresh rate? These are forcefully found areas to create the distinction. Apple could easily provide a higher refresh rate on the base model but they won't as long and we shouldn't at least justify these.
I am not justifying their decision. I just think because of one thing you shouldn’t skip a phone. If we can buy pixel with its weakness or S23 for its weakness why not iPhone 15. For me S23 should have a much better camera and processing but its not even in the competition anymore. Pixel is weak in power, efficiency and network.
60Hz you can still get used to easily but everything else is a proper flagship experience and having last year chip makes it more optimised and reduce the cost.
Every thing has a compromise one thing we have to see is whether the compromise affect us, great explanation bro
I've iPhone 14 Plus and it's good enough..
I'll wait for base iPhone Plus to get 120hz.. No rush to upgrade 😊
Very true Rohit….
I came from 13 pro max to 15 plus…. I initially noticed the refresh rate after 2 or 3 hours it’s not a problem now…. Biggest upgrade is battery and camera.. I’m in India so price difference between pro max and plus is staggering 60k which is really not worth for the 120hz refresh rate ..
I am only not able to make a decision over buying Iphone 15 Plus only because of 60 Hz Referesh rate in 2023 and also I am a bit too sceptical over the use of IOS in my personal case because I have never used it before but I genuinely value exceptional battery life ,overall chip performance and Video recording capabilities of the Iphone particularly to a great extent and I also possess the Galaxy watch 5 pro which will definitely not fit into the the Apple ecosystem , Can anyone here help me making a buying decision?
I can definitely feel the difference between 120and 60hz, but I will not pay the extra money to get it..
Exactly. I like 120 hz but not enough to pay another $200
60 hz sucks big time. Specially when scrolling through websites.
Exactly. 60hz makes me dizzy when scrolling through webpages or apps like X.
Having previously owned the Samsung S21 FE, equipped with a 120 Hz display, I found it plagued by an unwelcome amount of jitteriness. However, since making the transition to the 14 Plus, I've been pleasantly surprised to discover that its level of smoothness surpasses anything I've experienced before.
I was planning to get iphone 15 & went in offline shop to purchase i got to see the phone & spec and realise that its only 60hz 80,000 ruppe for a 60hz display was no go for me & after that i purchase s22 ultra at the same price 🎉❤
Where u got s22 ultra at that price
@@eren5411 at offline shop but you have to bargain a little bit
Only major difference in 120 hz.. it matters a lot as i use 14 pro
And that's enough
I agree with you. I would rather have a better camera than a high refresh rate. I'm not an apple fan boy, I'm still using a 5 yr old Realme 5pro with 60hz refresh rate. To be very honest, I never had any complaints with 60hz refresh rate, infact I didn't even knew what refresh rate was until recently I saw everyone talking about it. 😂. Next yr i'll upgrade and buy my first flagship phone that too only for the camera, probably I'll choose between iphone 16 and Samsung S25 series. Only problem I find in Iphone is low battery capacity and no superfast charge.
Have been using for the last one month and I am really impressed with the battery life and in hand feeding even with a case. Even though I own iPhone 14pro, still iPhone 15 is my first choice due to its compact form factor.
Apple is known for its ecosystem and have been using since 2011 (IPhone 4/32gb was the first). But for casual photography I prefer Pixel (using Pixel 7) and a Mirrorless Camera for regular photography.
In your opinion, if they give a high refresh rate display that'll increase the price. Ok.
Then why is Apple holding back on providing USB 3 Type C and AOD to non-Pro iPhones? Will AOD increase the cost? Will the new gen. port increase the port that drastically?
Also, when they removed the chargers for the "environment", why didn't they decrease the price even on iPhone 11 series since at launch it came with an adapter in the box?
Apple could easily provide high refresh rate even at $800 but they simply choose not to as there'll be no distinction between the non-Pro and Pro models.
Apple gets away just because of its brand value and loyalty of "fans" towards it, nothing more than that. If an Android gives 60Hz at 80K it'll be shredded into pieces.
True
It's long RUclipsrs stop Defending 60hz and Apple
Dude, even the OnePlus 7 Pro from 2019 had 90Hz at ₹50K.
And if Apple offers that on its standard iPhones, that'll increase the cost and customers will have to bear it? I don't understand this logic.
"S23 cuts corner in camera"
Seriously 😒.....U lost me there bro
S23 has an awesome and complete camera system including a telephoto lens unlike ur beloved iPhone 15 which u r hailing as camera 👑
And NO ITS NOT ABOUT ANDROID VS APPLE..... Paying 800 dollars for 60 hz is not fine for any Phone
If u r REALLY a TECHI....then u must know that it is not cutting corners as a 90 hz screen would have cost apple just another 25 dollars...but NO ..this is just their cunning play to sell the pro.....which PEOPLE LIKE U r justifing
True bro
💯 Agreed
Just bcz of so called Techies
Apple is able to sell hot with its Anti-consumer Anti-business practices
No bro
He is too rich to consider 800 dollars as a big amount
Coz he uses Pro
He believes people with less money should get 60hz only
I owned a Samsung S23 for about 6 months. I just sold it to switch to iPhone 15.
S23's camera isn't bad, but it's way too inconsistent. You can shoot 10 pictures and less than half of them will be decent enough. They're either oversharpened, or too dull, or white balance sucks, or HDR failed, or it completely lacks details, or it's not in focus, etc.
Again, it's not bad, you can still get stunning pictures every now and then, but it's not consistent and you have to pray for photos to look nice before shooting. Russian roulette right there. Not happy about it.
I had an iPhone 13 back in the day, and 9 out of every 10 photos were great, with zero effort. So, yeah, iPhone does it better and yeah, getting an s23 means you'll have to compromise on camera.
No! It’s smooth and feels a heck of a lot better than you would think
I can’t believe a justification on refresh rate, sorry you lost me buddy
No problem.
@@_arorarohit_ I am on your side Rohit. Currently using iPhone 14 since 2 weeks before i was using s21fe the first thing i noticed is higher refresh rate but slowly and eventually experience matters. Better thermal, cameras, processor etc matters the most
rohit had a point bro., it all comes down to personal preference., if you want hrr go for some other phone., i am not supporting anyone but just stating a fact., if it is a dump move by apple to keep it like that everyone should start ditch this phone but unfortunately thats not going to happen, because this one fulfills many people's requirement., period...
Its just a gimmick dude
120Hz is a gimmick. You're the one who is lost.
Thay should have put atleast 90hz rather purchase a 800$ 60hz device purchase a refurbished 100$ or 200$ andriod use it for 3 or 4 months until you gather up money for a flagship model of iphone one flagship phone is gonna last longer without outdating than a base model of iphone.
I have an ipad which is on 60 hz and oneplus 11r which is on 120 hz and it really makes a difference. 60hz really looks dull
Not the same thing. iPad has LCD and the touch response is also worse.
@@_arorarohit_ yes but never felt it when i was using a 60hz android alongside ipad.
Of course because the difference was minimal. All I am saying is an LCD with 60Hz refresh rate is not the right comparison. Because I have iPad mini with 60Hz where I can notice it doesn’t respond as great as iPhone 13 mini with same refresh rate. Also Screen size matters
Super duper explanations! Simple and clear! deal maker video! :D
Will it satisfies first time i phone user who had no apple products, i mean an android user perspective what will be the experience?
insightful review and always a pleasure to listen to, do agree with most of the points you made and as a user this is the perfect device for me unless you have the budget for the Pros, cheers !
Using 15 plus …. let me tell you:
Refresh rate doesn’t matter now..
Battery is Awesome.. Running on Jio 5G.
Camera is Quite Good.
Get used to big size.
a big screen with 60hz? idk man but ok
@@davedarius734660 hz with big screen is not good? i am confused 🤔
Brilliant review. I have an s22 and i still prefer this. Unable to notice the 60hz
A 60hz display is poor on a premium device, end of story. If you however still wish to buy that device, go for it. There’s no need to fabricate any excuses for doing so. It’s not a deal breaker for all. Apple on the other hand has absolutely no excuse for still using 60hz displays.
😂😂😂😂
It is the only reason i am doubting. The 120hz display. I have an s21+ and i am really scared to change. The pro max really goes out of the way and 15 pro it is too small. I really don't know and the 120 hz it is the only reason that it is holding me to buy the 15 plus
Same
Same.. did you guys make a decide yet?
Worth watching your videos!Agreed with all points, in the past i tried to shift iOS but i couldn't, i love android freedom ❤
the biggest reason why its bad specifically in india because the price difference is way higher between pro ,promax and the the base variant in india as the base variant is assembled in india for ex-- base variant cost 65000 while pro max costs around 140000. but in other countries this difference is not that huge
I love reading articles with my phone and scrolling X. There's no fcking way I'll back to 60hz phone
Always covering the missing pieces of the puzzle ❤
Don't justify the 60hz! Just don't
I only went with iphone 15 plus because i need a iphone with minimum 8 hrs of SOT
Thanks for the clarification. ❤
Did you not experience excessive heating during facetiming, taking picture and charging?? Please mention it if not already
Not at all. It does get warm like any other while doing video calls. Charging also depends on fast charger. It will get hot if it is charging at full speed avoid using phone while charging.
60hz is fine if device is 20 or 30k but not that above 60k people except premium things for that price
I like this video. I kind of think the same way sir. Keep up the good work.
Like the old saying goes: vote with your wallet, as simple as that. Currently debating between the pro (that tele) and the regular (that lighter feel) 🤔
I was confused as well. I chose Pro, I like it a lot primarily because of natural titanium color - it looks way better than any other color IMO. You can’t go wrong with either
I have used 120hz android phone. And 60hz seems so slow.
Best value for money iphone in 2024 bbd sale? iPhone 14 or 15? Need suggestions.
15. Because of camera and dynamic Island. Plus one year extra updates.
as much as i like your studio setup.. i wish you could show more b rolls of the phone being reviewed
S23 or iPhone 15
Which one should i pick?
Agr aap hote kya buy krte?
iPhone 15 only because of camera processing
And S23 for versatility 😇
I have ipad pro and iPhone 13 but not once i find any difference but when I reduce fps in my ipad I can clearly notice the difference . I don’t know why this happens.
oled vs lcd. Different touch response.
@@_arorarohit_ ya this may be the factor but i think they decreased the response time in mini led displays

If you were given the choice between iphone 14 pro (256GB) and iphone 15 (128GB) at a similar price, which one do you believe would offer a better deal?
14 pro is a better deal. But I will go for the iPhone 15. Usb c and new camera processing is more important for me.
Is 15 plus with 128 gb a good option?@@_arorarohit_
If I am paying that money, I want 120hz refresh rate even if at 60hz it performs better than 120hz Android phones. Your money, if you don't care then your choice.

Hey bro, I'm thinking about getting the iPhone 15 256GB, but I'm a bit concerned about the 60Hz display. Do you think that will be good for long-term use? Should I wait for the iPhone 16 for a potentially better display, or maybe even the iPhone 17?
Please reply me brother
If you are using 120Hz right now and worried about 60Hz then don't get it.
@@_arorarohit_ I'm using the 90Hz refresh rate on my Google Pixel 6, and it's super smooth. But I'm starting to think, since Google is Android, would the iPhone 15's 60Hz be more efficient and smooth ? Does it even make a difference? This is on my mind...😊
@@maygaming4360 you will feel 60Hz instantly. It will take time to go back to 60Hz. After a day or two you will forget

Before i was a deadly video games player. So i am really into specs. But now i am workingfull time. And Samsung s21+ is being a really useful tool to me. Super useful. But now it lacks power sometimes lagging. And battery. I am charging it multiple times in one day. Since i am looking for an upgrade for my work 15 plus looks interesting. Long battery life and stable phone. Exactly what i need. But it lacks functionality. I am really worried what if i can not live with 60 hz after buying it 😂
Not related but how’s your battery health of iPhone 12 since the day you’ve been using the MagSafe charger? I don’t know if you still have that phone or not but I would like to know.
it was 86% after 3 years before my friend sold it.
@@_arorarohit_ thanks for the reply. Coming to the video I’ve been using the 12 past 3 years. At this point I would definitely like an option to switch between 60-90hz display atleast if not 120hz. Not a dealbreaker right now but from next year it would be great.
Amazing Rohit As Usual ❤️
How about upgrading from pixel 6? Worth it?
yes
I still chuckle at the people that claim a 60hz display is hurting their eyes and making them sick feeling.
Maybe that would happen to you with any screen and try taking a break from staring at your phone so much lol
Apple has the advantage of processor although a normal user wouldn't use the full potential but it will haul longer periods without hiccups. For me i can't use any phone more than 3 years. So for the 3 years it will be a fluid experience. The only Android that can compete is pixel if they can get tsmc fabrication. Will have to wait till 2025.
I have a 14 pro max and I wanted to switch to 15 (not to the pro model this time as i am a bit sceptical because of the reviews)
Should i switch to the 15?
I have used the phone and the in hand feel is great.
So light to hold.
When you tried it, did you feel the phone feels slow or stutters? Because you are coming from a high refresh rate. If not then go for it else don't.
Bold move defending iPhone Rohit. Internet is full of people who like to watch iPhones being criticised. I keep coming back to iPhones because of reasons you mentioned but you might lose subscribers because of this video.
Best of luck

Seriously bro justification on refresh rate is what you are giving for an iphone.. I used to watch you because of honest review but here I see one sided review
I am still being honest. The only thing that is different is our point of view. Just because mine doesn't match yours doesn't make me dishonest.
It makes you illogical. 15 lacks many other things as well. Like slow usb port. So 60hz at 80k in 2023. Is just overpriced. Sure this has a slight better camera than s23 . But s23 is better in many other things. And that too at 60k
bhai which phone is better in today
S22 ultra or S23 ( compact)
My concern is s22 ultra still worth the price at 78k (today) if i am average user of all the features and performance task
And how well does the s22 ultra camera compare to the iPhone 13?
I would pick S23 because of snapdragon 8 gen 2 but since S24 will launch in 2 months I would say only get it if you are getting a good discount.

I'll just say this to anybody who's asking themselves the same question.
No. It does not. iOS' animations are crazy smooth, and the only time you might notice this low Refresh Rate is when you scroll [that too if somebody next to you is using device with a higher Refresh Rate is doing the same].
I've been using higher Refresh Rate devices for more than 5 years I guess [am a PC Gamer].
But is it justified on Apple's end? Hell no!
Why don’t they put 90hz?
It may increase the cost as they haven’t used it before.

I don't think its 'stupid' to point out that a $800 phone has a 60Hz Refresh Rate in 2024 [almost there]
Just as it wasn't stupid to point out Apple using Lightning and not USB-C like the entire world was. It wasn't stupid to complain against lack of ports of MacBooks, that garbage Butterfly Keyboard and that shitty Touch Bar.
Corporations that do shitty stuff deserve all the shit thrown back at them.
EA Games, Ubisoft, Sony, Rockstar Games, Bethesda, Infinity Ward, NVIDIA, Intel, Samsung, Google et al, all get thrashed left right and center when they fuck up [which, they do every now and then]. So why should Apple be an exception?
The statement that if $200 Android can have 120Hz why can’t $800 phone. I’d buy a $800 pixel phone if they can fix the thermals, network and efficiency and only give 60Hz.
120Hz is good to have but not necessary for everyone.
