Thanks for the tip I'm looking for a wheel that does not heat up the chain cuz I do race chains and a lot of times I have to cut a cutter back to nothing to make a performance chain and I don't want to heat the metal up and change the metal Archie
Nice video dude.. I have a stihl usg grinder that came with stihl wheels and I seem to burn the cutters all the time. I think I can try and not take a lot of material and try and keep the wheel clean with the profiling stone! thanks
Actually, we clean our chains here at Razzorsharp so that way when we put them on the machine they’re already cleaned and it’s really hard to dirty up the wheels, but they do dirty up and you have to clean them for sure 100% the key is taking off very little at a time , a method I called, “kissing the cutter” just take it slow and have patience. It’ll work out really good for you. I promise thanks and God bless hope this helps.👍🙏✝️❤️🇺🇸
Ive bought one of thesse cbn wheels but even when i go painfully slow it still leaves a burr on thr cutter. Ive messed around with it a bunch and i cant seem to get a good grind with the cbn. In fact in my experience the stihl and pink wheels outperform the cbn wheels. Have you ever run into this issue?
The key is ya have to “kiss the cutter” and take off just a lil at a time with the CBN wheel. Now the Stihl wheel ya do the same “kiss the cutter but ya gotta get the right profile, hope this helps God bless👍🙏✝️❤️🇺🇸
@@razzorsharpchainsawsharpen8186 so unfortunately I find that no matter how slow I go the cbn wheels still leave a substantial burr on the cutter. With the Stihl wheels tho you can by comparison hog into it without any burr
Yes, if you want CBN wheels, then call diamondwheelInc. out of Minnesota and talk to Jackie or Nik and tell them that Jeremy from Razzorsharp sent you, they will set you right up. If you’re looking for aluminum oxide, the best I like is either Franzen, or the steel brand, which you can get it at your local steel dealer usually or they can at least order it for you . God bless have a great day.👍🙏✝️❤️🇺🇸

Keeping the wheel clean is the biggest thing to keep from overheating the cutters. If you see a dark ring around the wheel it's time to clean it.

I can't find 7/32 wheels for my 36" husky chain. the closest I can find is 1/4. Any suggestions?
