That's the problem when the Right supports a candidate with a military record. They don't always turn into good legislators.

Except this one is. He is open and honest and capable. Those three qualities alone put him ahead of half of Congress. He’s even civil when Mayorkas comes to testify. And he actually follows up with Mayorkas outside of these hearings, which is more than you can say for all the hot air with no action following that we get from our elected officials.
This guy is solid. Hopefully, we can get more like him.

Because he's an officer and a gentleman. I thought she was trying to keep it logical per the laws and the Constitution, and not politics. Her advice to Rep Luttrell was if his constituents don't agree with the policies of this administration, they should vote for another President. That did kind of mean to me she wasn't a Biden mouthpiece. I do, however agree with Mr. Luttrell that impeachment should be a remedy for removing officers of the executive branch for so overtly failing to uphold their oaths of office to support the Constitution. Biden should be impeached for taking bribes from other countries. The evidence for that is mind blowing.

He has openly exposed in public hearings confidental information of an ongoing investigation that could have resulted in placing law enforement lives in danger, becasue he thought the public needed to know the "truth" about a bomb planted near the border, that ended up later being reported as bag of sand by investigators.

We had a 11 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42.
Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority use to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation
That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers.

Four years later after coming back from Afghanistan I decided to read it again -from the point of a leader (SGT)- that second read inspired me to commission. Now as a commissioned officer, I can say that this man is a role model to any military leader. I know his district is in good hands
