That Spanish language map has some interesting fact. The furthest point from Spanish speaking countries is centered around Timor-Leste, the Portuguese speaking country.

The first "Coyboy-State" I would have thought of is Wyoming and then Montana.
Back in the day Cowboys were driving the herds from up there, were they were grazing, down to Texas for slaughtering and shipping.

Topically, anything between Calgary Alberta Canada (Home of the Calgary Stampede which is on its final day as of writing) and Texas I would consider cowboy states.

Yeah, because that's where the large cattle drives went through. The Plains eastern of the Rockies were the grazing grounds for the cattle.
Back in my day.. (I’m sorry u said back in the day so I just immediately thought to that)
The Idea that "no" would be the most understandable word would at that point fall flat, where Drew realises, that the german "Nein" is pronounced like the english "nine"
Plus not every language has a word for "no" (as in a negative answer)

In polish no means yes sooo

Brazil declared war only on Germany during WW1 because the Germans sank two Brazilian merchant ships even though Brazil was Neutral. So considering that, and everything that was going on, Brazil declared war on Germany. But Brazil only helped on naval and aerial battles sending some equipment and a couple of warships and planes.
Only during WW2 that Brazil actually deployed troops to fight in land
As a brazilian, I feel that the efforts of the FEB (Brazilian Expeditionary force) are pretty underrated, they provided a lot of help to the americans and even defeated the germans in Monte Castelo with the help of the first operation of the Brazilian air force, even the enemy and the gringos recognized their effort on there.
@@marcelocampos9197 Yes, definitely. But that was in WW2, I was talking about WW1
@@christophermichaelclarence6003 It's because Brazil actually joined the war only in 1942. But Brazil sent about 25.000 men who fought against the Germans in Italy. It's a really interesting story, search for Battle of Monte Castello
in ww2 brazil didnt declare war on japan either
@@Mill_Jr Really never heard it. I'm really surprised. Should have sent Brazillians troops in our Motherland France not Italy.

For Greece, when you go to a place that shouts "tourist trap" just because you saw a celebrity go there once, of course it will be extremely expensive.
If you go to the local tavern that all natives go to, it will be a lot cheaper.
But isn't tourist traps are places where they put fake charges on your bill bcz they know tourist don't have time to go court or police
@@Snp2024
They don't need to. The menus are already way too expensive(Always read the menu before buying anything). The charges are listed in menus as they would lose their reputation if they don't do so and their opponents can set them up for closing through informing the officials. At least that is how it works in Greece.
Fake charges are usually done by waiters sometimes to drunken tourists. Telling them they haven't paid after leaving the restaurant. But this is something that every country has a problem with.
Greece, Turkey and Cyprus are the only place people in my country go to because it's so cheap there
As French. Never happened in there.

swimming is so expensive bc being on a team is mega expensive (usually $500 or more per season), then u have to pay for practice gear (snorkels, fina, etc), and googles and jammers (the good swimming pants) go for abt 30-60$ per jammer/google
then u have to pay a fee to go to meets, which if ur good at swimming, once every 1-3 weeks, and its usually $100+ to attend each one
About the Philippines not speaking Spanish, it's mainly bc they did not put a big effort to teach everyone, let alone the Spanish language. Only the rich Filipinos, mestizas (Spanish-Filipinos), and actual Spanish people had access or were actively learning and speaking the language
By the time the US came, the then-1st Philippine government (and later the Philippine Assembly) spoke Español but with introduction of American public schooling, the teaching of Español pretty much became secondary to English and Filipino
So it was like New Spain in Mexico?

Horseback riding is probably the most expensive sport. I used to do it and ice hockey was nothing compared to it.
As a swimmer myself, for some swim teams it’s like 100$ for a suit, 10$ for a cap, don’t even think about the team cap and suit, not to mention goggles, a towel, water. 5:04 For Russia it could be explained starting from Soviet Union. USSR gave education to many post-colonial elites in order to influence Africa and Asia. Example of such could be Patric Lumumba (Congolese communist) University, which is now a The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. So, the legacy continues to today. Many people from underdeveloped countries come to get education in Russia under context of improving their homeland in the future. Mostly though people come from Central Asia.
How do I know that? I lived in Moscow for 13 years next to some universities, so I saw some guys from Central Africa and other places around there. If you talk about guys from Central Asia, then we have a sentiment to them similar to Americans towards Latin Americans.
