I have crippling anxiety and I usually spend most of my time in my room, but these videos really help me
that’s amazing :) take care of yourself girly
Same, they really do help, I would be much worse off without these vids to escape into.
just smoke weed, zero anxiety and lots of happiness. trust me it works for most folks, it also works for animals too.
Same here, Amber. I have physical and mental illnesses that keep me close to home. You have allies here. Sending love and virtual hugs.
@@fifthward1983 I smoke my vape pen frequently. It does help, but I get most of my anxiety at work and you can't be high at work :(
My 3 year old recognizes your theme music and will say "watching currpet bagger??"
This is most certainly one of the best if not the best museums in Oklahoma. After retiring from a long career in the Air Force my grandfather worked here for a short time then later volunteered here. There really is no better place to learn about cowboy history.
RhettyforFun thank him for his service
@@Benjimediaa Thank you. He's been gone for 21 years but he was a major inspiration in my life.
RhettyforFun your welcome man 👍🏼 I have to thank the people that fought. My great grandfather fought in ww2 and he was also an inspiration in my life.
@@Benjimediaa I'm always grateful to those who have stepped forward and given so much to the country. Men like your Grandfather have always been my hero.
@@RhettyforHistory same here man 👍🇺🇲🦅
As a Cowboy from Oklahoma I love this place pretty much telling me the history of my family
That is a cool place I wish I could go there
Been watching you a while now and you’re videos never fail to amaze and entertain me thanks for being you😁
Your* :-P (Sorry, I know it's annoying.)
@@englishatheart Then cut it out.
I went there in October of 2013. Best museum I’ve ever been to, hands down!
At the cooks display the two pots on the ground where dutch ovens they put hot coals under and on top to cook bread and stews. Keep up the great videos.
WE ❤️ you CARPETBAGGER!
Loved this museum Jacob, loved the indoor western village, loved John Wayne, loved watching his films with my dad thankyou Jacob x 😀
Jimmy Stewart was in a LOT of westerns.
Not everyone knows that. I don't watch older movies often, so I didn't know that. The only western I've seen of his is Fievel Goes West. 😂
@@englishatheart You don't need to take it personally. I was astonished Jake didn't know it because he's so much into pop culture, but the reason I know it is that I love old movies and my dad watched them all the time. But there was no judgment in the comment. He was just telling Jake... it was a whole phase of Stewart's career and there's some pretty great movies in there.
Waaait a minute... I remember you... Well, again, it was just a piece of information. I recommend the movie mentioned in the video to fill the gargantuan amounts of free time you have.
I like that mountain lion statue 2:14
Thanks Jacob!
Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains
I hate you for getting that stuck in my head. :-P
Though I heard the corn was actually grown in Arizona... not something I would have expected, really.
@@BeeWhistler lots of corn is grown in Oklahoma too
Those "mighty delicious" things were dutch ovens. You sit them on hot coals from the fire and then put hot coals on the top and you can bake bread, etc. just like if you had a traditional oven. The cast iron diffused the heat on top and bottom like in an oven. It's a great way to cook when camping along with over a fire (direct heat) or using a metal grill over a fire.
Don't forget that you can also bury them with the hot coals to cook things. I want one but they can be pretty expensive, especially if you rarely use them.
I took my girls to Gatlinburg pigeon forge for 9 days 2 weeks ago and they wanted to see everything you went too on your Videos. We had the best time. We skipped the haunted mansion because they were scared. But thank you for your work.
Lived in Oklahoma my whole life, but only been to this place once and that was years ago. So I appreciate this upload. I was gonna go in April because they were gonna honor Kurt Russell and Robert Duvall, but sadly it didn't happen.
That is a nice museum. Thanks for sharing.
Hi! I'm so glad you visited us in Oklahoma. If you decide to drive South, visit Turner Falls near Davis and the Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulphur. There is also a Gene Autry museum in Gene Autry, OK. Anyway, always enjoy your vlogs. You, Adam, Jordan, et.al., keep me sane.
Do the cowgirl museum/hall of fame next.
If ever do get a custom mask maybe you should have either a cowboy possum or a pro wrestling possum on it or maybe the phrase “ on the road again “.
Cowboys have always been my kind of thing
You go to some strange and amazing places really love your videos 🇬🇧🇺🇸😷👍
I live in Oklahoma and have never been to this museum. I need to go. Thanks for sharing!
I do hope you are able to go the Kansas and visit S. P. Dinsmoor's Garden of Eden.....it is one of the craziest cool places I've ever seen. It's in Lucas, KS and worth the drive.
Love this museum. I used to watch a lot of western shows and movies growing up. Oklahoma is a great place to have a cowboy museum. Every part of this place is amazing. Thank you for bringing us along. God bless you
Very charming virtual tour of a first class museum. I am putting it on my stop and visit list.
So bizzare seeming barb wire exhibited in museum never knew that so many types intresting museum
We enjoyed that very much! TY Carpetbagger.
Trigger and Bullet are both on display at the RFD TV offices. That's "Doc" Milburn Stone's chair from the set of "Gunsmoke". Each star had their own chair to sit in during takes. I don't believe he was ever a director.
You cleverly avoided the great where is Oklahoma debate. Is it the Midwest, is it the south, is it the west. No one knows. This museum is my kids favorite. We've been members there for years. I love the kind volunteers at the museum and the amazing displays.
You’re not too far from Claremore OK and the Will Rogers museum.
How fun! 🐎🐴👢 I didn't know that there was different types of barbed wire
I'm so excited! It's been years since Ive been and I miss it a lot.
Jacob, I've been watching you for some time now cause you and I have very similiar interests and I just wanted to let you know, you are such an cinnamon roll! I enjoy watching you, youre an absolute delight! And so polite to people too! :) you're a breathe of fresh air on RUclips.

Me: *watches* where's Arthur Morgan and the Van der lin gang!?
I got a plan Arthur
If you think that's a lot of guns, check out the JM Davis Arms Museum in Claremore, OK some time. It's just down the road from the Will Rogers Memorial Museum.
Claremore, OK. (Northeast of Tulsa) has the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum.

Love this, we need to add this cowboy museum to our bucket list thanks for sharing

Next time you roll through OKC, check out the 45th Infantry Museum!
Love this museum, I'll have to see it someday!
Thank you for braving it out there, you’re going on vacations and trips for all of us.
I always wanted to go out west . Someday I’ll get to . I will check the place out when I do . Thanks for head up
Looks like a really well put together museum
Wow! This is a really cool museum. Love it!
Awesome video mate 🤘 new subscriber from England 🤘🇬🇧
My favorite place in Oklahoma!! Great spot to go
Hi, this was a pleasant surprise. The collection here is extensive and well presented. It seems a bit like everything is in Boot Hill, pure museum so to speak. The rain is a shame for you can not go outdoors. However, I'm curious if what they have outside is like the other Wild West-Frontier Towns I have seen and grown up in. One I love has a live interactive town which is still my favorite to this day,.Look up Liberty Valence, I've seen most Cow Boy films. It's unique.
The outside will surprise you. It has some art, gardens, water stream type structure you can walk on the bricks over, statues and a few memorials of famous rodeo stock.
Yes, Jimmy Stewart was in a LOT of westerns. Also, too bad you couldn't show the art gallery, but I know they have a no video/photos policy in that wing. Those paintings are stunning. Some day check out Woolaroc at Bartlesville. It was Frank Phillips's ranch (Phillips 66). More western stuff, more paintings, more firearms, and his very, very rustic ranch house. And it's a nature park, you can drive among a buffalo herd. Oh, lol, there's one buffalo that talks, too!
Wanted ta go when I was in OK , didnt make it. Goin to for sure now. Thanks for sharing
GOOD COVERAGE...THANKS
I love watching your videos here in ky
Its funny you must filmed these a while back because we haven't had rain for awhile! its been HOT!!
I was thinking the same thing. Sure would love to have some more rain.
Yeah... I'm in California and for a minute I was thinking, "What... what's that sound...?" I grew up in Louisiana and I still love rain, though maybe somewhere between Louisiana rain and California rain in amount would be ideal.
It seems he filmed a lot of videos in a short amount of time and has been back home for over a week. I actually wish Jacob would date his videos, but I think he doesn’t want people to realize they were sometimes filmed many days before release.
OMG I'm so excited I love this m museum
Crazy cus when I saw this museum I was in highschool and it was raining then too.
What a wonderful museum. Who knew there would be one dedicated to cowboys. I wonder if there are cowboys in parts of Europe. Thanks for the visit. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
A Longhorn in Australia once held the world record in 2012.
Cool and interesting place!!
Great video!
Were the horses and bulls real taxidermy . Interesting museum .thanks for the new adventure and taking us along

Hi Jacob, love your content. Would love for you to cover Pops in Arcadia Oklahoma. My girlfriend is originally from Oklahoma and she was curious about it. Hopefully it's on your way as you journey around. Take care and have fun!
That Hawaiian cowboy at 8:26 sure looked like quite the dandy lol
I like the Hawaiian cowboy guitar
You need to go to Bartlesville and go spend the day at Woolaroc. It was a ranch owned by Frank Phillips founder of Phillips Petrolatum. It has multiple museums, live buffalo roaming, lots of animals to see and pet. It has one of the largest Native American Museum. Lots to see and do. Its an awesome place. And not all that far from OKC.
www.woolaroc.org
I think I've been here long time ago but I'm confused with a dream I remember.
nice museum !
and i saw the thunder too.
Hey I live in Oklahoma pretty close to OK city, if you can make your way towards Lincoln,Arkansas. There’s the Arkansas country doctor museum. It’s amazing check it out

If your ever in Texas off of rt 66 there is the Barb Wire musuem (Texas pan handle)
It’s never open!
@@TheCarpetbagger Maybe you need to call ahead. We have a Matchbox musuem in Newfeild, NJ with over 50,000 different Matchbook models. But you need to call ahead and let them know a date and time you'll be coming. I posted the info on Roadsideamerica.com
www.barbwiremuseum.com maybe this will help? seems they closed for covid 19 and are waiting to reopen
Hawaiian cowboys actually predate western cowboys.
King Kamehameha had been given some long horned cattle as a gift from British sea captain George Vancouver. They didn't fare too well with the long journey to the islands, so the king forbade anyone from owning them. He let the herd roam freely, and within a few decades, they produced large herds that caused a lot of destruction.
Somewhere along the way (stories vary), vaqueros came to the islands. They helped make Parker Ranch the largest privately-owned ranch in North America in the mid-1800s.
The vaqueros taught the Hawsiian cowboys (paniolos), and many of their traditions still survive on the islands.
NO CLINT EASTWOOD OR SERGIO LEONE LAAAAAAMMMMEEEEEEE
He’s in some parts of the museum
the free lunch was salty as heck sandwich meat and salty bread to paying customers only
Was there more guns or barbed wire?
Good to see you changed your shirt finely
Oklahoma the musical
most of the native things are just 1950s pop culture items and you know from visiting cherokee
They also have old antiques from native Americans, not just pop culture stuff
Please go to President Roosevelt’s house it’s in Long Island New York
Are you still in Oklahoma? If you are I would really like to meet you Jacob!
I don't think he's meeting up with anyone he doesn't already know at the moment.
You’re not aware of James Stewart being in any westerns?! I think the only non western I’ve ever seen him in was It’s a wonderful life. But then again I am a western geek.
Does the museum have a collection of guns?
Yea from 1800s to early 1900s, decent size collection of authentic pieces
Hehehehe
